Lentelus Farmstay offers accommodations in Barrydale. The air-conditioned accommodations are 28 miles from Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve. Guests can stay warm with a fireplace in every unit. Each room is fitted with a safety deposit box, while some rooms are fitted with a patio. If you'd prefer to cook in the comfort of your own space, you can make use of the kitchenette facilities, which include a microwave, coffee machine, and a fridge. For guests with children, the bed and breakfast features a children's playground.

A colourful, rustic country studio cottage - with everything you need to self-cater - is set on the edge of the quaint Karoo village of Barrydale, with access to crystal clear salt water pool, garden, alfresco dining area, cold water garden shower, hot water outside bathroom, and labyrinth. Please note, the garden areas may be shared with me or guests in the main house, should it be booked at the same time.

The space
This simple cottage is situated on the edge of scenic farmlands and surrounded by mountains and hills.

It’s within walking distance of the village high street, and within easy driving access to the nearby rock pools of the Tradouw Pass and the parking place to hike to the beautiful waterfall and deep rock pool with the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve.

The cottage has its own entrance and there’s plenty of parking in the cul de sac (and under the car port if no one is in the main house).

There is also a salt water pool, outdoor hot water bath and cold water shower, back courtyard alfresco dining area, and labyrinth all at the disposal of cottage guests. Guests can choose to have 2 or 3 single beds, and there is a small dining space in the dorm style bedroom area - kitchen and double shower/loo are separate rooms.

Other things to note
There are comprehensive guest notes should I not be there to greet you in person. If I am not in residence:
- The water for the cottage, the fridge and the gas for hot water should be switched on immediately upon arrival (details in guest notes)
- Please always ensure the electric hob is switched off immediately after use, and electric blankets and oil heater switched off before going to sleep
- Should the electricity run out, call Gift to open up the main house after purchasing some electricity from the Caltex garage - meter number in guest notes. I will reimburse you for any electricity purchased so please retain the slip.
- The main house may be let out to another party of guests or occupied by myself
