Breakfast and service was not up to the standards of the room and cost. Breakfast was included but was limited and was served cold though the plate was very hot? We had dinner one evening it was expensive and the vegetables were cold but the meat was warm and delicious. We were the only guest and the service was slow and they struggled with making an Iris coffee after dinner. It is a fantastic location and Hazelwood is only few miles away filled with great and fun restaurants. - "Marie is a warm and inviting host, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Our room was spacious with an outdoor seating & patio area. The guest house is on the edge of town and so we used a cab service when heading out for dinner in the evening. Marie organised and booked(very cheap and nice driver) She also recommended 2 restaurants where the food was very good. The Swartberg Pass drive was something else and we were glad to reach the very lovely Prince Albert town which was lovely. The Caves were also worth a visit. This self catering garden cottage has a separate entrance and is located about 8 metres behind the main house. The property is situated in a quiet leafy suburb bordering the Royal Cape Golf Course. it is furnished and serviced with all basic living facilities. The separate patio door leads from the bedroom onto a scenic and tranquil garden with large shared swimming pool. It is close to the M5 highway and bus and train station. Off street parking is available behind a remote controlled gate.

The space
The unit comprises of a bedroom, kitchenette and shower cubicle and toilet. The bedroom has a double bed as well as a desk/table and office chair/kitchen chairs. It has a clothing cupboard with shelves and hanging space. There is a 32" TV with netflix and a cooling fan.
The kitchen is fitted and has a electric hob and oven, refridgerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, toaster, electric kettle as well as all basic cooking requirements/utensils including a one plate gas stove and kettle for use during loadshedding.
The bathroom is small but functional with a shower, hand basin and toilet.
There is an entrance to the unit via the kitchen (which has a shared courtyard with the back door of the main house) as well as a patio door leading from the bedroom onto the patio/garden area with patio table, chairs and umbrella.

Guest access
Access to the unit is via a gate at the side of the main house. There is a remote control to access the property via the main entrance with designated parking bay.

Other things to note
*Proof of identity to be provided upon check in.
*WiFi, limited lighting and gas cooking facilities are available during loadshedding.
*Laundry service is not included but can be arranged with the host, if on a stay longer than a week, if required, at an additional cost.
*There are sufficient blankets available during the cold winter months to make your stay as comfortable as possible as well as an electric blanket. Please use this sparingly and switch it off when not in use or when you are out.
*Please conserve electricity. There is a prepaid meter with sufficient units for the length of your stay for basic use. If the quota provided is exceeded, the purchasing of top up units would be for your own account.
*The cleaning fee is for cleaning after you check out.
