The cottages are very comfortable with two bedrooms, open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The outside verandah has great views of the surrounding mountains and a nice fireplace. The whole place and views are really beautiful. The staff were all superb and so friendly. We had dinner on one of the nights at Forage restaurant which was out of this world and is highly recommended. Their 2 course menu for R254 is fantastic value for the whole dining experience. You can only drink Wildekrans wines at the restaurant so a good tip is to go for wine tasting before lunch or dinner and purchase yourself a bottle as the restaurant does not charge corkage on their own wines. Breakfasts were also very good. You can taste all Wildekrans wines at the tasting room either on the relaxing front verandah, the front lawn or inside by the fire. The wine tasting room also has a restaurant which does great pizzas and waterblommetjie stew. All of this is within easy walking distance of the cottages. There are also good wineries in the area worth visiting such as Paul Cluver, Beaumont, Luddite, Goedvertrouw and Gabrielskloof. In town, Manny's restaurant serves fantastic prawns and Portuguese chicken and The Shuntin Shed is also a good dining options or place for a drink. Highly recommended."

In the leafy suburb of Craighall, Johannesburg, our separate entrance, beautifully decorated private cottage will guarantee you a great stay. Easy walking distance to Valley Shopping centre, 2 mins to Hyde Park and 5 mins to Sandton! In summer you will enjoy sitting under the vines or having a swim in our private pool area. The Glen Eden Barn is nestled in a beautiful garden with lovely mountain views. It is set in a residential neighbourhood within walking distance to the beach, hiking trails and wetland reserve. A perfect base to experience outdoor activities in the area, explore the quirky towns and restaurants nearby or to just chill out and enjoy the views and tranquility.

The space
Enter a wooden gate and wander up the path through a beautiful established garden, past a firepit, to the Glen Eden Barn. The covered private patio is nestled in a garden setting where you can relax, braai (BBQ) or sip local wine whilst reading a book. A glass patio door leads into the open plan tastefully decorated apartment with vaulted ceilings. The dining area has a wooden dining table and chairs set in front of a large sliding window. The living area is furnished with a comfy couch, TV with Netflix and WiFi. The kitchen is equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge and all the essentials for tasty food preparation. The cosy bedroom area has a queen size bed and a ceiling fan. A dressing area with built in wardrobe leads to the modern bathroom with a walk-in shower.The apartment is attached to the main house, however it has its own entrance and is completely private.
