Studio cottage with king bed and single "stack" beds. These beds are ideal for 2 children sharing with parents. As it is open-plan it is only suitable for a couple or small family. Fully equipped, Wi-Fi, TV, Fireplace. Fridge, oven/hob & microwave. There is no washer and dryer in The Cottage but laundry can be done in the communal laundry at a nominal charge. Please note that Wi-fi signal can be sporadic especially in summer with all the trees in leaf.

The space
The Cottage is an open-plan cottage, and ideal for a couple or small family. It comprises king bed and 2 toddler beds, lounge has fireplace and TV and kitchen is fully equipped. French Doors lead onto patio with portable braai (barcecue). Maple Grove is situated behind an avenue of Hazelnut Trees and overlooks the many varieties of Maple Trees. Prolific bird life. Close to hiking trails and waterfalls.

Our cottages are all very private and have lots of space between them for a quiet and tranquil getaway. The gardens are level and spacious. All our cottages have a braai and also indoor fireplaces, as Hogsback can be really chilly!

Trengwainton Cottage is a newly built, beautiful off-grid sanctuary with solar electricity & borehole water. It is a place to truly relax and absorb the magic of Hogsback. Enjoy spectacular sunsets or swirling summer clouds and mists from its large verandah with a built-in braai.

Guests can access the vast gardens on the property keeping in mind there are permanent residents on the property.

Other things to note
The cottage is completely off grid, so instead of a kettle we boil water on the gas stove, and do not have the usual amenities such as microwave and toaster. Hot showers are also gas powered. The solar panels are sufficient to power the lights, fridge and your device charging needs.
