Enjoy a relaxing breakaway in our off-grid farmhouse with beautiful views over the olive orchard. The basic kitchen has a fridge with a freezer, two gas hob, kettle and microwave. We have a braai area outside and a fireplace to keep warm inside. The farm is situated along the eastern bank of the Goukou River, 12km out of Stilbaai, of which 3km is gravel road.

The Garden Cottage of the Blue Beach House is a comfortable two-bedroom space ideal for a couple or young family. It is located about 50m from the warm Goukou river in a peaceful neighborhood of mostly holiday homes. Outside there is an enclosed garden, private braai area and a driveway dedicated to the cottage. For outdoor fun in Still Bay, you can choose between the spectacular river walk, calm river beach, rock pools, coastal walk or one of the several beautiful endless beaches in Still Bay.

The Garden Cottage is comfortable, bright accommodation for four guests. It is located across the garden from the Main House and is available separately or together with the house.

Skye Cottage is a well loved family thatch roofed holiday home located in Riverside estate Stilbaai, on the banks of the Goukou River.

The tidal river allows for sporting activities, with river front access a short walk on a path down from the house.

Stilbaai town is close by, Inveroche gin distillery and Press room restuarant is within walking distance.

The space
River facing view with spectacular sunsets, makes for the most amazing evenings round the braai. The name Stilbaai comes from the weather, when most evenings the wind dies down and becomes still and pleasant.
The river is tidal, great for swimming and water activity, especially at low tide when the sandbank is out.

The property is located on a secure estate, with security gate and electrified fencing.

The main access down to the river is about a 50m walk to a private jetty. In summer the river is amazing to swim in.

Other things to note
Although you are amazingly welcome, please be aware of living under a thatch roof. Please no open unattended flames.
We are also on a wild residential estate and do have the odd poisonous snake and scorpion so please just be aware when exploring. They are mostly scared and stay away from noise, rarely seen.

The space
Private cottage located inside a resort. We have two bedrooms downstairs and a loft with two single beds.
There is a braai area inside for those rainy days and another braai area at the back of the cottage downstairs near the creek which is nice and secluded and has incredible bird life (there is however some road noise as well).
Use of pool and play area are to be under adult supervision and at own risk.
We are a five to ten minute drive from the beach if traffic is light.

Other things to note
The cottage is located near the Old Riversdale Road and with all the new development in town, there can be road noise.
We are located near a creek and with surrounding nature; sometimes a crab or two can sneak into the house and we have our share of rain spiders and daddy long legs.
