At Patat cottage is situated within Langezandt Fisherman's Village in Struisbaai. It is a relaxing 2-hour drive from Cape Town, through the Cape Overberg region. This cottage is nearby Cape Agulhas, the southermost tip of Africa. A visit to the charming fishing village of Struisbaai is highly recommended.

This is the perfect cottage for a family of 4. It is spacious and comfortable. The open plan kitchen-lounge area walks out onto the back yard where you will find a covered braai area. The cottage comprises a cozy living area with a fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, and an outdoor terrace with a built-in braai and dining table is also provided. Inside the cottage are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed with en-suite shower. The other bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds. There is a second bathroom with shower over bath. There is uncapped wi-fi and it is pet friendly.

The space
OppiStoep offers a main family cottage with 2 bedrooms and a loft. This cottage has a fully equipped kitchen which is open plan with the family living room and the cozy indoor fireplace.
The views from this cottage are over the protected wetlands which promises great birding and sunsets.

The third bedroom is in a private cottage with its own en-suite and private entrance.

The cottages are connected by an enclosed courtyard and the outdoor patio. The outdoor patio hosts the braai and 8 seater table for summer evenings. The outdoor patio is enclosed with stackable doors so it can be enjoyed in all weather conditions.

Views are uninterrupted, seeing we are the last house in a cul de sac, no neighboring houses blocking views or bird-life experience. The beach is a 5min walk away through the estate and provides for wonderful sunrises for the early risers.

WEEKEND VISITORS SPECIAL CHECK-OUT: You are welcome to stay until 15h00 on a Sunday. We appreciate the limited time one has during weekend visits, therefore we want visitors to be able to take it easy and make the most of the Sunday before having to head back home.

TO THE BEACH: Out the door to the stop street (40m), left and immediately right into Zandt Crescent, follow left bend after 100m, wooden walkway to the beach is on your right (5 minute walk).

GARDEN BORDER: This consists of fences with small trees and bushes in the foreground. Dogs and small children will be safe and should not run off, unless digging trenches or squeezing through minimal spaces is a favourite pass-time.

DSTV & WIFI: The DSTV 'Premium' package is provided for viewing entertainment for young and old. All sports channels included! A very stable WIFI service is also included for your convenience.

The self catering cottage is tucked away in a quite cull- de- sac and a mere 10min stroll to a white sandy beach. It is perfect for children to ride their bikes and have fun with their friends. This cozy, yet elegant and comfortable cottage is a great place to wind down, relax and create unforgettable memories!

The space
Latter Rain offers a fully functional open plan kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, hob and oven. A dining table with space for 8 as well as a L shaped couch in the living room is perfect for family get togethers. The fully walled enclosed back garden offers a warm outdoor shower. Further offers a wood/charcoal BBQ braai facility and indoor fireplace.
Four bedrooms offers accommodation for 8 guests. The main bedroom - king bed with en-suite bathroom offering bath and shower over bath, 2nd bedroom -queen bed and share a bathroom with the 3rd, an upstairs loft room fitted with two single beds (must be able to climb steep steps-suitable for kids 4 years and older).
