The space
Valknes is quaint, tastefully and simply furnished. The cottage has been in the owners family for 50 years from the time when there was no electricity and only candles and oil lamps were used for lighting. The history is depicted in photographs displayed on the walls. This space needs to be approached with the sensitivity and respect one would a well-loved elder.
There is a bed and comfortable chairs on the front stoep and a braai area with table just outside on the lawn.
The double bed has a comfortable mattress and crisp linen, a comfortable chair, cupboard and dressing table. The living space is cosy with lighting options to create the ambiance you'd like. The is a table with 6 chairs. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics one would need. The bathroom has been re-done recently with unique mosaic work and a Greek Isle vibe. There is a private outside shower in the courtyard with warm water.
The cottage is surprisingly well sheltered from the wind and quiet places to relax, had been created in the backyard, inside and in front or on the side of the cottage.

Please enjoy yourselves at all times, but do not forget to be vigilant about safety. Always lock the doors when you go out, even if it is only for a short while.
