- "amazing breakfast and a super cozy bed" - "We had a fabulous 2 night stay at the cottages at Wildekrans. The cottages are very comfortable with two bedrooms, open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The outside verandah has great views of the surrounding mountains and a nice fireplace. The whole place and views are really beautiful. The staff were all superb and so friendly. We had dinner on one of the nights at Forage restaurant which was out of this world and is highly recommended. Their 2 course menu for R254 is fantastic value for the whole dining experience. You can only drink Wildekrans wines at the restaurant so a good tip is to go for wine tasting before lunch or dinner and purchase yourself a bottle as the restaurant does not charge corkage on their own wines. Breakfasts were also very good. You can taste all Wildekrans wines at the tasting room either on the relaxing front verandah, the front lawn or inside by the fire. The wine tasting room also has a restaurant which does great pizzas and waterblommetjie stew. All of this is within easy walking distance of the cottages. There are also good wineries in the area worth visiting such as Paul Cluver, Beaumont, Luddite, Goedvertrouw and Gabrielskloof. In town, Manny's restaurant serves fantastic prawns and Portuguese chicken and The Shuntin Shed is also a good dining options or place for a drink. Highly recommended."

The space
Beaumont is a charming family-run farm and winery situated in the quaint Overberg village of Bot River. The farm, home to the region's oldest wine cellar and one of the oldest working water mills in the Overberg, is steeped in history, dating back to the 1700s. A visit to Beaumont is a romantic escape into a timeless world where tradition is a way of life.

The farm exudes rich country atmosphere, with quiet mornings, hadedas and other birdlife, lush views of valley and mountain, and quaint private accommodation. As such, it offers much to wine tasters, artists, horse riders, birders and those just seeking a soothing getaway.

Guest access
The farm has two lovingly restored historic guest cottages. Both are self-catering and have a fully equipped kitchen, outside braai, a kitchen fireplace and a wood-burning stove in the lounge. Linen, duvets, towels and plenty firewood are provided, as are tea, coffee, milk, and tasty home-cooked meals by request.

Guests have full access to the farm and our beautiful Overberg Mountain.

Our fresh water lake is the perfect spot for a picnic, sun-downers or a lovely early morning dip.
