Live like a Greytonian.Karin's Place is one of two cottages located on the property and is the home of the owner.Think country, cottage, comfort. Located within 5 minutes walk of the village centre, this self catering cottage has quality furnishings, simple bathrooms and is well equipped kitchen .A large veranda for lazy Sunday luncheons awaits you. It is not suitable for babies and children. We do have a communal pool which guests from both cottages are welcome to use.

The space
Karin's Place is home from home. Unlike most houses in Greyton, this one is set away from the road giving guests that extra bit of privacy. It is a simple cottage tastefully furnished. Regret, but our space is not suitable for babies and young children as we do not have the amenities, kids safety (cast iron stove) or covered plugs.

Guests can access all parts of the cottage excepting the garage, the storage room and the back of the garden which is the space for the 2nd cottage.

Other things to note
There are a total of two self catering cottage on the property. Both do not impact on each other and have their own private spaces. The only time when both parties of guests could meet is using the pool.

A beautiful traditional country cottage in Greyton with in walking distance to everything! You walk into the cool downstairs section with a comfortable living area, opening up onto a covered patio and magnificent "English" garden. The patio has an entertainers table for eating as well as a built in braai. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom ( shower only). Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds.

Welcome to Greycot. Located in a quiet part of Greyton, close to the nature reserve. Sleeping up to 6 guests this is a lovely fully equipped cottage where you can braai, walk, cycle or watch a movie and kick off the stress of the work week.

This authentic Greyton Cottage has been in the family for many years and has a huge place in their hearts.

The space
This house lends itself to a Family/friends who wish to pack the car and getaway. A group that will braai, cook, spend the days reading, walking, playing games at the dining table and in winter all sitting around the fire together. This is an authentic Greyton country cottage with a heart.

You arrive at GreyCot park your cars in the driveway and enter in through the front door into the lounge. Here you will find a large open plan lounge/dining room with cane ceilings, tiled floors, a wood burner, L-shaped sofa and a flat screen with Netflix. The lounge opens up onto a large outside tiled covered stoep.

There is a small enclosed, private garden making this and ideal country cottage.

The first 2 bedrooms are located on your right as you walk in to the cottage with double beds, fitted carpets, heating panels, side lamps, and both have their own en suite bathrooms.

The kitchen is located just off of the lounge, fully equipped including, toaster, kettle, oven, hob, microwave, crockery, cutlery, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee plunger, Nespresso machine and more....

The master bedroom has a queen bed, extra length. This is a large room that has double doors opening onto the covered stoep. You have your own private bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. Also with carpets, built in cupboards, an oil heater, side lamps and cane furniture.

This house comes with a security alarm and armed response, parking for 4 cars and is an ideal country getaway.

Linen, towels, tea, coffee and starter wood in winter are provided.

Rental is minimum 2 nights and you can book for 2/4/6 guests (send us a message if you would like to book for less people and we will send you a special offer)

The cottage sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms.

The space
Creating Regency Cottage and its gorgeous garden has been a 15 year labour of love for our family. It has been a true privilege to develop the space in such an exquisite location, and we look forward to welcoming our guests who will love and respect the cottage and Greyton area as much as we do.
The cottage's sense of "pure country" is emphasised in the eclectic mix of old Cape Country furnishings mixed with modern conveniences, and it is very well equipped for a self-catering stay. Kindly note that we cannot accept bookings from guests travelling with pets.

The house has two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom.
There is a further open space upstairs with two single beds, that is ideal for children under the age of 12.

There is also a modern baby camp-cot (Safeway Basico) providing a safe and secure sleeping space for a baby or infant. It has a fitted mattress but no linen, so please provide your own.

Guests love the fact that the downstairs bedroom is easily accessed with a queen size bed, and it's own bathroom with a large glass shower, double vanity and toilet.

The upstairs bedroom suite with its queen-size bed, has a separate walk-in shower and separate toilet off the dressing room area.
A modern air-conditioner is installed in the upstairs bedroom to ensure a beautiful cool room on those hot summer days. The deck leading off the upstairs suite has spectacular views and is totally private.

The standard price for the house is for four people, and there is an additional charge of R300pp for the fifth and sixth guests.

The cottage was built with both the hot summers and cold winters in mind, and the very private patios serve to bring in nature as much as possible. Solar power is installed to ensure continuity during possible load-shedding.

Cooking is taken care of by a 4-plate gas hob, and a separate electric oven.

Smoking of any sort is strictly forbidden anywhere in the cottage, including the sunroom.

The cottage also has a separate external lock-up bike room , which can accommodate 3 guest bikes. The village of Greyton is perfect for family bike rides, and the MTB trails around Greyton are truly spectacular and very popular. Hiking, and trail running too, are very popular pastimes.

We are passionate about the garden and unfortunately we cannot allow any pets to visit us.

To maintain the "country feel" about the space, the property does not have full fencing, and to keep the famous Greyton roaming horses and cows out of the property, means that we have to request that the gates are closed and latched at all times. This request cannot be emphasised sufficiently. Horses and cows move incredibly quickly and are able to do tremendous damage to the garden!

Guests are encouraged to explore every corner of the garden, from the front patio lawn, to the street-side paths through the flower beds.. Stroll on down the garden, through the ivy covered arch, to sit peacefully in the shade beside the "dam".
Various "private corners" exist with their own benches.

In October the garden is opened to the public on "open gardens" weekends.

The space
Cozy luxury is offered in this newly renovated cottage on the edge of the nature reserve. One bedroom has a queen-sized, extra-length bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. An off-suite bathroom with shower serves the other two bedrooms. The second bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom is in a garden studio, separate from the cottage. It has an ensuite WC and wash basin. The garden studio is made available to bookings of 5 or 6 guests (or upon request and at additional cost for smaller groups). It also has a queen-sized bed, and a dedicated workspace. All the bedrooms have closet space.
A baby travel cot can be arranged upon request at an additional cost of R300 per stay. When booking, ask for the baby high-chair if needed.
There is good wifi available throughout the cottage, and ample solar power, so that load shedding should not be a huge inconvenience. State-of-the-art appliances grace the kitchen and laundry room. There is a dedicated outside braai as well as a patio for outside dining.
The Living room has a wood-burning stove, an assortment of books and games. Use your Netflix/AppleTV/Showmax login details on the Smart TV in the living room.
Access to the piano comes at an additional cost of R300 per stay.
The garden, home to many birds, is simply magical. At the foot of the garden is a labyrinth for meditative walking.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole cottage, except the loft storage and the inverter room.
The third bedroom is in a garden studio, separate from the cottage. It is opened for bookings of 5 guests or more. If you require access to the studio even though your number of guests is below 5, please adapt your booking to indicate 5 guests. This will raise the daily fee by R750.

Other things to note
Heavenside cottage does not offer accommodation to pets.
Two open lei water dams are in the garden, well away from the house. They are not meant for swimming. Children should be supervised in the garden at all times.
