Simunye cottage is a self catering cottage situated on a 40 hectare olive farm, Fields of Gold, in the Cape Winelands. The farm is only 10 minutes from either Paarl or Franschhoek, and 25 minutes from Stellenbosch.

Simunye cottage is a self catering cottage situated on a 40 hectare olive farm, Fields of Gold, in the Cape Winelands. The farm is only 10 minutes from either Paarl or Franschhoek, and 25 minutes from Stellenbosch.
Pearl Valley/Val de Vie Golf and Polo Estate is a mere 1 km from the farms entrance. Many famous wine farms and the finest restaurants are a short drive away. We are also perfectly situated to accommodate the many wedding venues in the area.

The space
Berry Cottage is a 2-bedroomed self-catering cottage set in a garden on a small berry farm. It is 5kms from Franschhoek. 1 x double-bedroom ensuite, 1 x 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds with an adjacent bathroom. The cottage is well-appointed with cotton percale linen. It has a relaxed and warm feel. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a microwave, 2-plate stove with small oven and fridge. The fireplace in the lounge allows for cosy winter evenings. La Motte wine estate is the immediate neighbour - its restaurant, art gallery, museum and wine tasting is within walking distance, as are Goederust Farm Kitchen and Bread & Wine restaurant. Franschhoek offers wine tasting, culinary experiences, art galleries and spas. Nelson Mandela statue is close by at the Drakenstein prison and is worth a visit. There are also hikes, mountain biking, trout fishing and horse riding for the energetic in the area. Berry Cottage is an ideal place to experience the many Franschhoek festivals such as the Literary Festival in May, Bastille Day in July, the music festival in October or the Champagne Festival in December.

Oak Cottage was the original stable. There is a fully equipped kitchen and large lounge dining area opening onto front and back verandahs. The bedroom has a large extra length king size bed and the bathroom has both bath and shower facilities.

The space
Bo La Motte Farm was one of the original Huguenot farms in Franschhoek. With the grounds replanted to vines and the wine cellar restored it has been running as a guest farm, with a four star grading - for the past 15 years offering a home from home experience to everyone whether a family group or honeymooners, come stay enjoy and relax.

Guests have the entire Cottage for their Use, during their stay. There is a stairwell of 3 stairs leading down to the Second Bedroom and Bathroom, from the Living area. The Exclusive Use Outdoor patio is accessible from both the Second Bedroom and from the Outside of the Cottage. The Outside Access to the Patio, is on even ground, there are no stairs.

Bellingham Homestead has wonderful Spaces to relax and enjoy the Outdoors! Loungers, Chairs and Dining Tables are provided at the Swimming Pool.
There are an array of Benches and spaces throughout the Gardens to enjoy some quiet time.

All our cottages are on Solar but during loadshedding the kitchen area is not connected to the solar system, but there will be lights, TV and certain plugs to charge your cellphone or laptop.

Lavender Cottage is a modern three bedroom self catering cottage with three bedrooms, main ensuite and the other two bedrooms share a full bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave and Nespresso coffee maker. The cottage has its own private terrace overlooking the large rim flow pool. The pool is situated on it's own large terrace and is shared with Olive cottage. We are ideal for guests who enjoy wine tours, the outdoors, hiking and biking plus horse riding.

The space
Blueberry Hill Cottages consists of only the two cottages, Lavender and Olive situated on our small wine farm. Here you can enjoy the peaceful ambience surrounded by vineyards with spectacular views of the Franschhoek valley and you are only five minutes from the centre of town.
Guests choose to either relax on the deck, next to the rim flow pool or take a wine tasting tour of the vineyards on the Franschhoek wine tram. There are also numerous golf courses in close proximity to the farm.

Note that in winter we provide a complimentary basket of wood on arrival and sell additional wood at R3.00 per piece if more is required.
Wood may not be used in the weber BBQ. You will need to bring charcoal or briquettes if you wish to BBQ.
The gate remote provided during the stay is not necessary on departure. The gate opens if you stop close to it on the way out.
