The guest house La Re 'Belle is located in the village of Ceret small Catalan village close to the Spanish border, very old with a character full of history where many artists have come to get lost. The Veilleuse Mother Room is located on the first floor of my house overlooking the shopping street. This room is equipped with a queen size bed 160*200 and a shower room with toilet.

The space
Our rooms are located on the first floor of our house directly overlooking the rue du commerce which is a narrow street, cobbled and in one direction. Difficultly accessible for wheelchairs.

Guest access
You will enter through the entrance door directly overlooking Rue du Commerce, which overlooks the stairs to go upstairs from the bedrooms. The Mother Veilleuse room is the first when you get home.

The Sol Air room located on the first floor of my house is equipped with a queen size bed, a mezzaclic bed with a single mezzanine bed and futon sofa bed below. Suitable for 5 people, it also has a shower room with toilet separated by a curtain.

The space
La Re 'Belle guesthouse is a family home that belonged to my native grandfather. I completely renovated it with my hands. By creating two bedrooms on the first floor each equipped with shower room with toilet, a small seating area allows us to have lunch together in the morning.

Located on Rue du Commerce in the old center of Céret, a small medieval village, which has hosted 10 weeks of renowned artists, the bed and breakfasts of La Re 'Belle welcome you all year round in a family spirit by giving you the proximity to shops and public parking. The Museum of Modern Art will only be a short walk away, the square of the nine jets and the church just behind the house.

Other things to note
The road that passes in front of my house is a paved road in which we cannot park. A minute stop is allowed to drop off luggage. The free public Tin's parking is 100 m from my house.

2025 Update: We now have an eco-friendly heat pump for the pool, which means that the pool will now be heated to 26 degrees Celsius during the summer (1 May until 31 October).

2024 Internet WIFI Update: we have installed Starlink Satellite Internet across the property guaranteeing super fast internet in the Cottage and Garden area, so you can work, video or stream with multiple devices. Make sure that the Kitchen window is shutters are open, so the signal works well! Minimum 23 Mbps Internet Speeds.

2024 Energy Update: We have installed Solar Panels, so at least 30% of all energy consumed is renewable. In the Summer, it's over 50% renewable.

The Cottage is ideally suited to 2 adults in the Main Bedroom and 1 adult (or 2 small children) in the Sofa Bed.

For those with children, we have a brand new cot and high chair and the swimming pool has safety barriers preventing children getting into the pool.
We also have a wide range of inflatable pool floats and waterguns available for you!

The hosts are an English couple who have moved to Ceret and speak English and French well.

The Cottage has been completely upgraded - everything in the Cottage is new - from beds to sofas to TVs etc. Most of the furniture is from the premium Maisons Du Monde retailer. The roof is brand new.

The 3 x A/C units also works as heaters, so you can feel assured of being cool or warm depending on the season throughout the cottage.

We've tried to upload as many photos as possible, so you can see the space completely and there are no surprises!

We've travelled using Airbnb many times over the years and some are great and others are very disappointing, so we truly want our cottage to be a great place to stay.

Complimentary tea and coffee (cafetiere + Nespresso machine + starter quantity of biodegradable Nespresso capsules + tea bags) provided along with salt and pepper. Britta Water Filter provided (tap water is also drinkable).

Linens and house towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

Complimentary bottle of chilled wine and milk waiting for you in the fridge (if you do not want the wine, just let us know and we can remove).

2024 Update: Larger freezer with lots of room for ice cream and ice!

The property has two bins: for general refuse; for plastic, metal and cardboard. For glass, we ask that you dispose of the glass in the glass recycling point nearby.

There is Netflix, Amazon and Youtube on a Smart TV, but no terrestrial TV channels.

With its own private entrance for guests, there is also free on-street parking.

You have your own front door just for you (with garden door key accessed via a Key Safe on the street), which leads to a path into our garden and onwards to the Cottage where there is a second key safe to access the Cottage.

You can wander the garden and pool of course. You also have a private patio area in front of the garden.

There is secure storage available for bicycles with a charging point for electric bicycles.

Other things to note
If you would like an ash tray for smoking outside, just ask for one and we'll bring it to you.

We ask that you stop entertaining outside on your patio by 10pm.

Note: The property is not step-free and there may be issues for those that have mobility issues on account that the garden entrance has stairs leading to the main garden.
