The space
Our cabin is located on 91 acres and is less than 1 hour from downtown Toronto. Waterside cabin is situated beside a small spring fed lake. It is perfect for one or two people.

Read, meditate, or just relax in nature. Enjoy a beautiful sunset, star gazing, and a campfire.

A trail circles the lake. There are also numerous trails in nearby Orono, and in the Ganaraska Conservation Area just north-east of us.

You can also enjoy the beautiful landscape and lakeside farms on the drive east. Go south on Morgans Road, then turn east on Lakeshore Road towards historic Port Hope.

Guest access
Self check-in is after 3 pm and check-out is at 11am.

When you arrive the cabin will be unlocked. You will not require a code or a key.

The driveway to Waterside cabin is not the same driveway as the main house. It is two driveways north. There is no access to Waterside cabin from the main driveway.

If you are looking to purchase wood for a campfire, it is located by the house, to the right of the garage. We charge $20 for a large utility bucket full. (Approx 10-12 pieces) We use an honor system, there is a cash box attached to the garage.

Upon booking confirmation we send a map which you will use to find the north entry gate.

Text when you arrive and please drive slow. We have a friendly dog named Castle on site.

Outhouse is located approx 75 feet from the cabin (path is near the solar panels)

Bring Rubber Boots and Indoor slippers

In Winter: bring tall warm/waterproof boots, hat, gloves, and scarf.
In Summer: Bring a sunhat, swimsuit, towels, bug spray and sun protection.

Paddle-boat, canoe, and life jackets are available (during the warmer months) at no extra cost.

Swimming is recommended at the main dock. (The water is deeper here and there are no weeds)

Sorry, fishing is not permitted.

You can drive directly to the cabin. Winter tires are best, but all-season tires are normally ok (if winter snow conditions are not too severe).

This compact two story cabin/tiny house can accommodate 2 people.

It is located near the forest, and a distance from the main house for privacy.

Rest, enjoy the quiet, sit by the water, walk the trails, and witness nature from dawn to dusk.

Guest access
Self check-In at 3 pm, and check-out is 11am.

You will receive directions and a map once your booking has been confirmed. Please review it carefully before entering the property.

The cabin will be unlocked. Please text when you arrive and drive slow on the property. We have a loose dog on site. (Castle is very friendly!)

Firewood is available and located in the wood shelter beside the garage. It is $20 for a large utility bucket full. There is a cash box attached to the garage.
