The space
Rus In De Rust is a spacious heritage house surrounded by a wonderful garden with fruit orchard and "plaasdam swembad". The large garden and pool is communal and shared with a quaint two sleeper studio "casita" offered separately to guests.
The house comprises 2 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom fitted with a toilet and shower. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has 2 x 3/4 beds.
The house is open-plan, with the lounge and dining room leading into the open plan kitchen and TV room, creating a unique family room or entertaining space with a open plan fire place where you can enjoy a cosy fire OR have a indoor BBQ on rainy evenings. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery.
The bedrooms and the living room open onto a wraparound verandah where guests can sit and enjoy the stunning views over the town and mountains. There is an indoor braai in the kitchen as well as an outdoor braai for guests to enjoy. A farm dam for swimming compliments the house, where guests can cool down on the hot summer Karoo days.
Rus In De Rust not only offers safe accommodation within easy reach of the main road with its restaurants and coffee shops but also offers the tranquillity and country feel guests would expect from a quaint country village.

Other things to note
We have a Alexa Echo's Entertainment System located in the living room purely for entertainment purposes ie. activity / restaurant searches in the area, music, alarm etc. Note that the camera functions has been disabled and not functioning. Lens cover can manually be capped over the camera for ease on mind.. Should you not feel comfortable with the device being displayed, please feel free to disconnect from the power source by unplugging it from the power socket.
