Each bathroom includes a 2 person jacuzzi tub, a 2 person air-massage tub, or a jetted shower massage panel. The guest kitchen has recently been updated with a new stove/oven in addition to the recently new fridge & dishwasher, and is exclusively for your use during your stay. Note that while we are traditionally a "Bed & Breakfast" for individual room stays, breakfast is not prepared for VRBO rentals.

This is an ideal place for family gatherings, ladies weekend getaways, etc. however please be aware that this is not the right location for parties. The owners do reside in a separate part of the building, and we must all be respectful of our neighbors.

our 160 acre horse farm is 3 miles from Bellevue, which sits on a beautiful section of the Mississipi River. We are a 20 minute drive to Maquoketa, 30 minute drive from Dubuque along scenic hwy 52, or go another 20 minutes to galena IL.

Pedro is our VERY friendly "watch" dog. Dont let his size intimidate you, all he wants is affection. He is an outside dog. His "brother" is Jax a Malimawa.. a good watch dog, but once he knows you are our guest he loves the attention too.

The space
This former business office has been renovated into a guesthouse. We are working on some cosmetic changes when it is unoccupied to make your stay even more comfortable, so please excuse our progress. The office building is located behind our house just outside of Manchester.

There is one bedroom with a queen sized bed. We have a second bedroom with a single twin bed & a set of bunk beds. There is a lot of floor space for air mattresses if more people need to be accomodated.

There is a full bathroom with a shower and a small half bath for your use. The full bathroom is stocked with towels and basic toiletries.

There is a full sized refrigerator in the kitchenette, as well as a toaster oven, toaster, induction burner (with pots), electric griddle, crock pot & waffle iron for cooking purposes. We have some basic kitchen & dining utensils. Feel free to ask us if you’re looking for something specific.

There is a 42” TV with a Fire stick in the office connected to the WiFi.

Convenient parking located on the cement pad outside the door of the office.

Please be aware that we do have animals on our property - we have several chickens, a few dogs & cats that may be roaming around. Not to mention all the wildlife that wander in & out of our yard regularly. There are some trail cameras located around our property as well as a camera on the floodlight in the backyard.

Guests will have full access to the guesthouse. There is a laundry room in the guesthouse that is available upon request.
Additionally, there is a basement under the office. The stairs are not great & we would ask guests to not go to the basement unless necessary during severe storms.
There is another office space attached to the guesthouse. The door to that space is locked & inaccessible to guests.

Betsy's Room is located in the White House, a refined, elegant colonial revival-style home. Betsy’s, named after the youngest daughter of Bill and Elizabeth, is an elegantly adorned, spacious room with a queen bed and window facing the river. The private bathroom is located across the hall. Enjoy hiking the trail or sit outside and relish views of the Mighty Mississippi from the patio!

If Betsy's Room is unavailable, we can reserve Grammy's Room located in the Grey House. Grammy’s room features a bay window seat overlooking the front of the estate filled with colorful trees and flowers. This bright and comfortable room has a queen bed with a beautifully tiled, private bathroom located across the hall.
