It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. The property was super clean and offers an amazing view of the Mississippi River and the lock and damn. My only bummer was the property is not in partnership with the property down the hill so you can not walk down the hill and fish off the dock which really sucked when bass where jumping to the surface for food. But all in all 10/10 best place to take a vacation. There are other fishing spots just a short walk or drive away."

All of this on the main level. These are not shared areas, it’s all for you. I live downstairs and the front half and upper level is also an ABnB. - "3 middle-aged ladies met in Dubuque for a Galentine's Weekend (Feb 14-16). We arrived just before the snow really started coming done. Annie's on Adair was the perfect cozy spot to hang out. We cooked, we watched movies, and we played games. The cottage was immaculate and we lacked for nothing. It's the perfect get-away for small groups. (The host was diligent in keeping the sidewalk cleared of snow... Which was much appreciated!) We thoroughly enjoyed our time."

This is an apartment in a larger complex and is located on the 3rd floor (steps). There is an elevator in the building away from the main entrance. The main entrance is off 11th St and parking is in a shared lot at the corner of Main st and 12th st. Details on parking location will be shared with space number after booking. It's a large building and there is an elevator which we'll give you directions on how to navigate the building if you choose to utilize it.

A separate entrance leads to the entire upstairs (800+ sq. ft.), which includes:
-2 bedrooms, each w/ queen bed and own television
-private full bathroom w/ shower/tub
-kitchenette w/ sink, small refrigerator (see pictures-for storing leftovers/beverages), toaster, coffee maker (Keurig pods), dual burner hot plate, pots/pans, basic cooking utensils, and plates/dishes.
-Baby safety gates and outlet covers available on request.

Other things to note
Pets: I strive to be the #1 dog-friendly host in Dubuque! In my experience, dog owners are some of the most considerate and respectful guests. Cats also allowed, but you will need to provide your own litter/litterbox/other cat accessories.
The slight additional fee is intended to cover wear/additional cleaning-please register pets in your booking. I have upgraded my cleaning supplies (better vacuum and better static clings), and I schedule double cleaning time after a guest with pets. However, there may be residual pet hairs or odors for guest who have allergies/sensitivities. If you have specific questions or concerns, please let me know in advance and I will do my best! My best friend, Kafka, is available for dog/human play dates with adequate notice.

Heating/Air-Conditioning: This is a larger and older home with tall ceilings and large spaces, but the entire house has a smart thermostat which can be controlled remotely and is enrolled in the utility company energy efficiency program. Remote comfort overrides are possible, but the upstairs is also fitted with window AC units in the summer and wall-mounted heaters in the winter so you can independently set the temperature for the upstairs.

Smoking: There is no smoking allowed in the house. Neither I nor the former tenants were smokers. There are wireless smoke detectors as well as a wifi/smartphone enabled smoke and carbon monoxide detection system. Smoking will incur cleaning/damage fees, minimally $250, in addition to time the house is off the market for cleaning
Shoes off policy: The floors are wooden and were recently refinished--I request that guests don't wear shoes upstairs. It is cleaned (vacuum and mopped) regularly, but it makes it much harder when people track in dirt. Feel free to wear your socks, or socks will also be provided for you if you prefer.

Guests: Please register additional overnight guests for a nominal fee.

TV: There is a flatscreen TV in each bedroom with Amazon Prime Video service (same name/password as the guest WIFI) and several streaming apps if you would like to log in to a service you already subscribe to instead (I have both a Roku and 4k Fire TV stick).

This space is welcoming to people of all genders, ethnicities, and religions, provided you treat other people and this space with respect.

Longer stays: automatic discounts are applied to all stays longer than two days, since the majority of time is spent refreshing the unit between guests. If you are interested in a longer stay (e.g. remote workers), contact me prior to booking for special discounted rates.

You have a completely remodeled private space on the walk-out level of my home. Open floor plan, a carpeted bedroom with queen bed, a full-size memory foam sleeper sofa, a living room, mini-kitchen, laundry and bath. The mini-kitchen includes a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs. The desk, with woods view, is a perfect place to reflect, read, and write. The entire space is completely updated. Private entrance. Located in a quiet residential area of Dubuque. I live upstairs.

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the lower level of my home. It has a private entrance around back. Park right in front of my home, on my side of the street, facing in the right direction. Go around the block instead of using neighbors' driveways to turn around (Iowa law).

Other things to note
My space would work well for an adjunct professor or business person who needs a place a couple evenings a week. Or, if you are just passing through, it is a nice space to relax before taking off on the next leg of your journey.
I would entertain a conversation about long-term stays depending on length.

You have your own bedroom but rest of apartment you will share with us You do have your own small refrigerator/ freezer and microwave in your room we ask you do not eat on the bed there is a table in your room and if your preparing food do on the tv tray that is in the room we want to keep our furniture nice there is a laundry basket in bathroom please put your towels in there do not keep your towels in your room so I can keep up washing to provide clean towels do not throw garbage in the laundry basket we ask you do not place your dirty shoes on the bed we ask you take your shoes off before coming into apartment

During your stay
Will try to answer any questions you may have have a check in book on the bed with restaurant suggestions and things too see you will be able to call or text us anytime if we are not home

We have a golden-doodle very friendly just a bit hyper and and shy There will also be no type of smoking in our house or vaping of any kind!!
