The first thing we noticed was that the picture posted on the VRBO site for the unit we rented for 2 nights is not at all the same unit we had. We were certainly deceived to find that the owners were posting pictures of a beautiful unit to only give you a unit that is a complete dump! The room smelled of smoke. We killed two spiders in the bathtub and found a web of spiders above the TV and on the floor baseboards. The bathroom floor had been painted black. The paint was shedding so when you walked on the floor, the paint chips stuck to the bottom of your feet. We woke up to find black specs in the sheets all over. We were also told that there would be toiletries available. The only thing was hand soap by the bathroom sink. I think we were expecting at least some shampoo and conditioner. The blind on the window is damaged and taped together and the blind does not fully cover the window so light shines in all night long.There is no cover on the light fixture in the bathroom, which is where the spiders may have been coming from. The bed squeaks terribly. The picture shown of the bed is completely different from the metal bed frame on metal legs that was in the room.for this room. To tell you how bad this experience was we did not stay the 2nd night at the property. We went to a different hotel.I have reached out to the owners twice and I've had no response back.The last picture is the VRBO listing. "

SLEEPING: 2 bedrooms, each with a king size bed, and a loft space with 2 twin beds.

BATHROOMS: 2 full bathrooms. Main level bathroom includes large soaking tub.

MAIN LEVEL: sunroom, living area w/ TV, kitchen, bedroom w/ TV, and bathroom.

LOFT: 2 twin beds and rec area w/ TV.
- The loft is open to the kitchen/front entry area and is not an enclosed room. A retractable baby gate has been installed at the top of the stairs for child safety. The loft is accessible by going up an open riser staircase.

LOWER LEVEL: living area w/ TV, bedroom, bathroom, workspace, exercise area, and laundry room.

ENTERTAINMENT:
- Kayak available for seasonal use and as weather allows
- Outdoor fire pit (wood can be purchased at local gas stations or grocery stores)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
As parents ourselves, child safety is incredibly important to us. The Riverhouse includes the following features for child safety:
- A retractable baby gate at the top of the stairs in the loft area.
- Child safety locks on both the main entrance and sliding glass door leading to the sunroom.
- You will notice an additional entrance to the lower level of the home, but we have restricted access to that entrance via locked doors inside the home.
- Life vests hanging in the lower level laundry/storage room.
- Baby gate available in the lower level hall closet to use as needed.
- An exterior camera is mounted on the back deck. It is used to monitor the water level on the river for safety.

There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed Cindy Lou's BBQ and Single Speed Brewery. The only complaint is that there weren't many "supplies" no hot pads, no butter knives, no spatulas, no mixing bowls. The home has the upstairs bedrooms on the far end of the house, far away from the kitchen. One of the basement bedrooms had a closet large enough to put a crib, pack and play, etc. We were there when it was 90+ every day and the house felt cool and we never felt hot. Hands down, one of the best VRBOs I've ever stayed in."

The beds were comfortable and blanakets amazing. Only thing I would suggest is vacuuming after a guest has a dog with them. My son and i have allergies to long hair dogs and there was dog hair on the couch that made our allergies act up.oyher than that it was perfect and we will be back!!! "
