We are just a few minutes walk from the SNCF train station, the historic Langeais château, the banks of the Loire, our bustling Sunday market, and a variety of restaurants and bars featuring local cuisine, beers, and wines.

The space
A five-bedroom house in a Loire Valley town 25kms WEST of Tours. Langeais has a railway station, several restaurants and cafes and a chateau, all a five minute walk away. The town has a great ambience, and there are many historic chateaux within 20kms, including Villandry, Azay, Chinon and Ussé.

Nestled between the forest and the Loire, backing onto a hillside peppered with troglodyte homes, the town of Langeais is at a cross-roads between the châteaux trail, Loire à vélo, and the 'route des vins." A crossing point over the Loire with an historic bridge, Langeais is popular both for the beauty of its landscapes and for its fine heritage.

A prestigious 15th century château, in which the union between Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany was sealed in 1491, makes Langeais a vital tourist attraction in the Loire Valley. This mediaeval fortress holds many marvels: one of the oldest square keeps in France, a working drawbridge, and a superb collection of tapestries and furniture.
