This studio within minutes from our national rainforest El Yunque, where you can discover all the flora, fauna and our beautiful waterfalls. The famous Kiosks, are 3 minutes away were you can try our traditional food. Surfing beaches near by and 20 minutes away from the Fajardo Ferry to our beautiful islands Vieques & Culebra. Also a varieties of local restaurants and more.

To stay in this location I recommend renting a car or private transportation company, since there are not many accessible 'Uber Drivers' in this area. I can recommend a transportation company.

The property's electrical service is connected and depends exclusively on the local company that provides this service in Puerto Rico. Therefore, electrical interruptions are not under our control. The property will be protected by private walls with an electronic access gate. Entering, you will find a 250-foot climb surrounded by vibrant vegetation. The main structure consists of the reception area adjacent to the main hall (1000s/f). In such room you will find the breakfast area consisting of 3 tables with ample space accompanied by unique decorations garnished with hand-picked potted plants. In addition, a cozy corner is comfortably furnished where our guests can enjoy reading the available books. Room #1 is also located on the first level. The main entrance to the suite leads to a warm living area with a sleeper sofa followed by the bedroom and bathroom. If you desire to be close to the pool, then this is your room. The french doors on the north side of the room lead to the pool deck. ADA capacity.

Room #2 is located on the first level. It has two sets of double french doors opening to a private garden that will accentuate a palpable sense of seclusion within the property. Capacity 250 s/f.

Finally, four “casitas” build on the land. Two “casitas” build on a plateau located approx. 200 feet southwest and more than 40 feet of added height in relation to the reception. The remaining two “casitas” will be built on a second plateau located even with greater height and distance from the reception. The views from both plateaus are spectacular. The conjunction of the green from the trees and the sea in the distance create a feeling of peace and inexplicable serenity. The trail to the “casitas” is surrounded by natural vegetation common to the anvil mountains along fruits such as Passion Fruit, Mango and Citrus accompanied by wildflowers native to our country. The four “casitas” will have the same architectural design as the main house. The interior space will offer approx. 300 s/f designed with an open concept and high ceilings. They will also have 5′ wide balconies on two sides of each “casita.” The position of each will be so that the guest will be able to enjoy the views from the balconies in total privacy.

The decorations that will be used throughout the rooms will be of light colors and raw cement for the walls and floors. Wood furniture will create a clean and relaxing touch while adding the right amount of texture to the rooms. In addition, the utilization of unique local arts and crafts will be displayed for the purpose of showcasing local talent.

Travelers can use the backyard to read, watch and hear the creek, birds and Yunque carrots. Walk on foot to do zipline, rivers, restaurants, and the little town which has groves ties, bakery, ice cream, frappes, food trucks, cafe and brunch.

The apartment has everything you can need to cook, rest well, A/C, 55” tv, everything it’s new/or in perfect conditions. Several areas in front of the creek to enjoy. The patio is all yours.

Colinas del Yunque community has only 2 entrances. Take the 2nd entrance, and turn to your right, go straight until the 4th house at your left. You arrived.! 2 stories house, light green color. Guest has huge parking, in the front of the house, park using the left side of the entrance, leaving the garage door free.

Other things to note
To Travel is to Live! Do and go all you can. Hike, walk, swim in the rivers, camping, and visit the Palmer little town of the area, for food, drinks and souvenirs in this town. You can go on foot to a zipline adventure park. The beach is at 2 traffic light, you can go to Luquillo kiosks to eat puertorican fried food and rent jetsky.
Don’t forget that Fajardo is pretty close also, and you can go to the bioluminescence bay, Las Croabas, Icacos island to to snorking and get a beautiful tan.
In addition, we are close too the port to take ferry to Culebra and Vieques islands.

The space
Enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the rain forest, with the song of the birds and the Coqui right outside your window. Bananas, Pana, Coconut and more grow right at the property. Chickens wander free and you might catch a glimpse of the rare Monito Gecko. The Beaches and forest trails and waterfalls are only minutes away by car along with many east side adventures.
When you arrive, walk in to a spacious living room and kitchen, which is fully stocked for all your cooking needs (but really, who needs to cook when there are so many delicious restaurants just a quick drive away).
A large bedroom with a King size bed is waiting, inviting you to relax and rejuvenate on your vacation The sounds of the rain forest will lull you to sleep at night, while true island culture (chickens and roosters) can be your alarm. We do offer fan noise and a sound machine to help you when you aren't acclimated to the sounds of the island, yet. The casita offers plenty of storage space so you can feel settled and at home during your vacation.

There is off street parking. We do recommend renting a car as this is the base of the forest, and it is not walkable to restaurants or stores. While there is Uber and Taxi services, they are few and far between outside of the Metro area.

For our guests staying a week or longer we also offer on site laundry.

This property is managed by Mary and Jeff at Caribbean Dream Vacation Services and we encourage our guests to see what all they have to offer to make your vacation easier.

The house is located on the same property where the owners live on island part time. They have two friendly dogs on property when they are on island.

Staying here you are just minutes from Carabali Adventure Park, El Yunque National Park, Angelito Trail, and Las Pailas Natural Water Slides. Luquillo Beach and the Luquillo Kiosks are also close by. The Wyndham and its spa and casino are also near by. It is a short drive to the ferries in Ceiba to take you to the nearby smaller islands of Culebra and Vieques. If you want a day trip to El Viejo San Juan, it is just about 40 minutes drive west.

Guest access
Guest have access to the Casita and the sitting area in front of the Casita as well as ability to relax in the Hammock. Parking for the Casita is directly in front of the Casita, however if your car struggles with the steep driveway, you can park in the lower driveway. There is an outdoor hose with a spray nozzle for rinsing sand. There is laundry for guests who are staying a week or longer.

Other things to note
This space is located in a local neighborhood and it is likely you will see and hear things like
- roosters from both roaming birds and the pets of the neighbors
- Dogs, both strays and local pets
- Music, as people celebrate the weekend, or one of the many holidays we love to celebrate here on the island.
- cars as they pass for the morning and evening commute to work

Please note the roads are dark at night and narrow. Drive with full awareness.

Welcome to Sonsoleá Host, a guest house we’ve poured our hearts into after living on-site for 8 years. Terra is a private second-floor unit designed for solo travelers and couples who want to experience the best of Luquillo. (Please note: Due to the layout and steeper stairs, this unit may not be suitable for children. Our other units are designed specifically for families with kids.)

Located in the only downtown beachfront area in Puerto Rico, you’re just steps from the ocean, a surfing beach, swimming spots, and the Corredor Ecológico del Noreste nature reserve. Explore the town walking: jazz clubs, local restaurants, and weekend nightlife, or take a short drive to El Yunque, the ferry to Vieques & Culebra, or hidden beaches along the coast.

Inside, Terra combines earthy, light, and airy design with a blend of pieces from our world travels, vintage finds, and modern touches. We’re proud to showcase locally made tiles crafted from coffee waste by Materia Madura, a sustainable design company based in Puerto Rico.

The space includes a queen bed, cold A/C, a smart TV with Netflix, and a fully equipped kitchenette (no stove). You’ll also find extra storage with a large closet, nightstand drawers, and bench space. The ensuite bathroom features a hot shower for a relaxing end to your day. With thoughtful touches throughout, Terra is the perfect space for unwinding after an adventure.

Step out onto your private balcony to enjoy the fresh air and partial ocean view. Guests also have access to our Secret Garden, a shared outdoor space with seating, luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, a guest bathroom, and an outdoor shower. We provide beach essentials like towels, chairs, and a cooler, so you’re set for a day in the sun.

Guest access
Guests have full private access to Terra, including the room with kitchenette, bathroom, private balcony, and all amenities within. You’ll also have access to our Secret Garden, a shared outdoor space that’s still a work in progress but already functional for relaxation. This serene area features tropical plants, seating, and a peaceful atmosphere. Terra guests pass through the Secret Garden on their way to the stairs leading to the second floor, adding an extra touch of nature to your journey. The Secret Garden also serves as a pathway to other areas, including our luggage storage (available before check-in or after check-out), a guest bathroom, and an outdoor hose (soon to be a shower). It’s the perfect spot to unwind or enjoy the quiet moments between adventures.

Other things to note
Being in downtown Luquillo means you’ll experience the vibrant energy of the area, so expect some local noise. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, you’ll love the lively atmosphere! While the ocean is just steps away, please note that our location, being in the heart of downtown, may not be ideal for those who prefer to sleep with open windows. We’ve taken extra steps to ensure comfort with cold A/C, sound-reducing windows, and blackout curtains, but it's still a downtown environment. Also, stray animals can be found in the area as part of the local charm. If you enjoy immersing yourself in local culture, we are the perfect base for your stay!

A few additional notes:

- We do ask that guests respect our elderly community and observe quiet hours on the balcony after 9 pm.
- Our place is on the second floor, and there are stairs (no elevator).
- No parties or outside visitors are allowed.
