Our comfortable modern studio loft is close to everything. Across from beaches, playground, cafes/restaurants and in short walking distance to Merewether baths, pubs, skatepark, tennis and wall-ball courts. Walk the Bather's Way into town or trail bike through Burwood National Park and Fernley track. The studio is suitable for a business client wanting a relax and/or fitness downtime or anyone after a comfortable relaxed holiday with an abundance of mostly free activities at your doorstep.

The space
Come and enjoy living in one of the best streets in Newcastle beside the beach. You can expect a comfortable fully self contained airconditioned modern studio loft with fully equipped kitchen and those extra condiments to add to your personal feast. Hotel style king bed which can also be turned into 2 x long single beds as well as a single floor mattress, portable cot and high chair upon request. For those needing an office, there is a desk, swivel chair & printer. Relax after your daily activities and watch your favorite shows on the 54" Smart TV from 2 leather recliner chairs. You will have your privacy but also share experiences and local knowledge with your hosts and we are more than happy to make suggestions or answer any questions you may ask. Loan of bikes, tennis racquets and beach buggy are all part of the package. Just ask. Plenty of street parking available.

Guest access
Your loft is your area. However, there is an outdoor area to sit and enjoy a few wines. Access to the main house's laundry with washer, dryer and clothes lines - free of charge.

Other things to note
'Life is the beach'. During summer, weekends can be busy along this stretch with people finding car spaces or making their daily walk to the beach, ocean pool, playground, cafes or doggy park. Smokers or party goers in the studio are strictly not allowed. If you wish to party, Dixon Park beach has free BBQ's and tables.
The main house also has a small to medium sized, extremely friendly whippet puppy dog.
Buses run at short intervals into town and/or to link to an airport bus or the two major train stations so easy access for those with no car. Just let us know where you are coming from and we can help with public transport access.

This private accommodation has 1 queen bed and a double fold out sofa bed located in the lounge room.
Full kitchen and bathroom and shared laundry access to a shared tropical backyard, and swimming.

The space
Small one bed room unit with a ensuite, lounge space with a fold out double sofa bed, full kitchen facilities. The unit is located below our family residence. We are very considerate of the guests and try our best to keep the noise to a minimum but you will hear foots steps and people talking at times.Shared laundry, outdoor table and bbq. Note it is suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. However happy to take bookings for 4 adults just be aware it is a sofa double bed in the lounge area.
Please note the property is in quiet residential area but you may have the odd experience with unexpected noise from surrounding neighbours.

Guest access
Easy side access with lock box for keys, not wheelchair accessible. The property is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with mobility issues due to stairs and slight uneven slope.
We will let guest know accurate directions the day of arrival.

Attached to the main residence, the miner's cottage was originally owned by the Merewether family and overlooks the stunning St. Augustine’s Church.
