Neat, spacious and secure studio apartment with a large verandah in the upmarket suburb of Umtentweni. Beautiful scenery with an abundance of birdlife. The beach is a mere 2km drive away which provides good fishing and pleasant walks; all the ingredients for a relaxed, enjoyable stay.

The space
This homely space is on the second floor of a free standing building that over looks a spectacular view of a sugar cane farm and endless rolling hills. Bird life is popular and you will be woken in the morning to the sweet chirp of a variety of birds. The apartment can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children ( under 11 yrs). Children over 11 are classed teenagers and require a bigger sleeping area. Guests have full access to the entire apartment as well as their own gate entrance .
The space has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a fully equipped kitchen. We have also set up a full DSTV bouquet so you may curl up in the evenings and enjoy your favourite movies/TV series.
Umtentweni is situated on the East Coast of South Africa where we are blessed with warm temperatures all year round. A glass of wine on the balcony while the sun sets, after a day on the beach, is highly recommended!

The space
The house is nestled in our private Nature Reserve set in the High Coastal Forest and is well over a century old. The rooms are spacious, and all have 4.4m high ceilings. Only two rooms have Air Conditioning - the rest have ceiling fans to stir the tropical air for you.

During your stay, you are welcome to use any of the sitting rooms as well as the swimming pool with 4 Sunbeds. The wrap-around veranda is cool and perfect for sitting and reading, chatting, or watching out for the Fish Eagles circling down in the valley.
As we offer only Bed and breakfast, the kitchen is private.

During your stay
This is our home, and we live here, so we are mostly in the house or on the premises. Our lovely helpers work from 7 - 3 pm and are very helpful. Should you need me urgently, please call.

Other things to note
We have two big black Great Dane dogs who don't bite - they just look dangerous and love Guests to fuss over them. A little Sausage dog completes our furry family.
We would appreciate you respecting the Collectables in the house and only playing the Vintage Grand Piano if you are a musician!
