Thought it strange that my card was charged prior to the checkin time. On arrival I was shown a Wendy hut. Told there was no pool for more than a year and the bbq grills were not available. Refund not possible per policy. TV smaller than my laptop screen. No satellite channels poor kitchenette and bathroom facilities. Wifi non existent in the room. Only positive was the 2 loyal helpful staff. Would recommend that the ratings are reviewed."

Well-equipped, clean, spacious (52 m2), self-catering cottage for business travelers, couples and small families in the upmarket Cowies Hill estate.
This garden cottage is a home away from home and is well situated to enjoy all Durban has to offer.
We are situated close to UKZN Westville, Varsity College and are just 10 minutes from Pavilion shopping mall and the N3. The beautiful Durban beach front is a 20-minute drive and it will take you less than 3 min to either the M13 or M19.

The space
The spacious cottage has its own private entrance with secure on-site parking, Netflix HDTV and high speed fibre enabled WiFi access.
The cottage is not affected by load-shedding (Power outages scheduled by our country's power supplier, Eskom) or water outages as cottage is equipped with Solar PV & battery and water storage tanks with water purifying system.
The entire space is accessible at ground level with no stairs.
The cottage is located in a peaceful and green neighbourhood with abundant, varied bird life.
The bedroom is fitted with 2 comfortable single beds that can be moved together, if so wished. A camping cot and mattresses (1 or 2) for a maximum of 2 children (including infant) are available on request.
The cottage has its own bathroom equipped with a shower, towels and select toiletries.
The living area is furnished with a full lounge suite, HDTV and dining table with chairs. The dining table can be utilised as a work area.
The kitchen is fitted with a fridge, microwave, small stove, kettle, crockery and cutlery sufficient for 4 guests. Complimentary welcome coffee, tea and homemade rusks are provided. Fridge is stocked with beer, please help yourself and make use of the honesty box provided.
The unit is only serviced after each guests stay and not on a daily basis. If your stay is more than 7 days, the unit will be serviced once weekly, with a change of bed linen and towels.

Other things to note:
We have four small children aged 11, 8, 6 and 3 and two friendly dogs who live on the property.
The cottage is strictly non-smoking.
The bathroom is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly.
Please give me at least two hours notice before you arrive to ensure that we are able to arrange for handover of keys and ensure the cottage is ready for your stay.
