Owner/Manager are exceptional and made every effort to ensure that everything was in good order even checking mid-week of the stay. We had family who owned a house a couple blocks away and the location was very convenient for us. It was also walkable to the beach and a couple of restaurants. It was not walkable to the hotel strip but we did fine with taxis and ride-sharing. The unit itself was perfect for us. A small sitting area, dining are, and kitchen on the first floor and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was private and comfortable for our needs. Air conditioning and fans worked well and we were never hot. We had a bit of a hard time finding outlets near mirrors for wedding prep and the shower pressure was pretty bad and could use a new system, but those were only small inconveniences and we’re not picky travelers. Thank you, Rudolf! We are so glad that we chose this property for our trip and would happily recommend it to others and stay again if we ever come without our children again in the future."

We live completely green and off grid(we have solar panels and batteries). It is important to know that we are very attentive of the usage of the power we have. That is why we have specific usage for the air conditioning. We will ask that you do not use more than 9 hours (between 4 pm to 8 am) and please set the temperature at minimum 23ᴼ Celsius or 73ᴼ Fahrenheit.

Please be aware you will stay at our place for the experience: the serenity. It is not a luxurious cottage. Rather, we are situated in a unique and wonderful area in nature, so keep that in mind when considering a stay with us; it will be a soul enriching. You will be secluded from traffic, have the unique experience of nature's darkness in order to admire the stars and all that comes with being in nature. You can also come in close contact with Aruba’s wildlife, for example: wild goats, wild donkeys, centipedes, bugs, bees, rabbits, lizards, iguana’s, birds, (rare and venomous) snakes, etc.

Sero Colorado, also known as The Colony, is an authentic natural area on the south-eastern tip of the island, far from major hotels and tourist hustles on the north-west side of the island. The shallow Baby Beach with a beautiful snorkel entrance to the reef is very popular and also features amenities like a beach tent with simple kitchen and bar. Rodgers' Beach is popular with the true calm seekers. On both beaches are palapa's and trees, which provide shade.
Boca Grandi is a beautiful bay with beach and a hefty surf, where it is ideal swimming for some more practiced swimmers. This bay is located at the entrance of Sero Colorado a few minutes away and if you want to surf wind or kite you will be advised here! There is a kitesurf school which offers reasonable prices for private lessons. With a little luck you will find our Aruban World Highwinds Champions!

- "We prefer to stay at VRBO properties as opposed to hotels but we chose this particular place for the location. This is a chill neighborhood with great swimming and snorkeling near and past the breaker. We always rent a vehicle and I would suggest one whether you are staying here or not. There are a number of great restaurants a short drive away. The property itself was clean and perfect for us. John, Marie and staff were all extremely nice, helpful and attentive. If you are considering staying in this area of the island I wouldn't hesitate booking. Simply walk across the road (not busy) to the shore with shade and chairs. There are a couple local bars and a small grocery store within walking distance. As a bonus there is a great little restaurant behind the property called La Tavola, go there for at least one breakfast and dinner. The owners Ana and Juan Carlos do a great job! If we return we will stay here again. Zero regrets and loved the location, just book it and have fun!"

- "Everything was fabulous. Better than we thought it might be. We visited arriving on Christmas Day and the host made sure we know how to get there, met us, and was very helpful. It was decorated in and out for the holiday. They are flowering bushes and plants all around. The house is in a great location. It was very clean. We especially enjoyed the wonderful outdoor spaces. There are multiple seating and eating areas outside in a lovely garden surrounding the house. It seems like a double lot so it feels spacious. The outdoor shower was handy on beach days. There were plenty of bath and beach towels provided as well as outdoor chairs we took to the beach. They did not check on us to make sure we got settled or that all was good. The listing said “whole house” this is a room with a bathroom & an outdoor kitchenette. There was a pile of dirt on the floor that I stepped in right after we brought our bags in, dried blood on the bathroom floor, dead bugs under the glasses on sink, something black coming out of the soap dispenser, and bugs flying everywhere. We use the bug net around the bed but still had bug bites in the morning. The “guide” said we get 3 rolls of TP but we only had 2, and there was a wash basin under the outdoor sink for washing any clothes. We had 4 towels for a 6 night stay with 2 people. This was not our first trip to Aruba and not our 1st time staying in a tropical place either. There was definitely some issue with the bugs here because we had not experienced this many bugs, both flying and crawling, anywhere else. It was ridiculous! Also the pool is NOT private for just this listing. It is shared with the other 3 or 4 rooms in this area. Plus it was not clean, even after the gardener came it still looked green We couldn’t take it after a few days and messaged the host that we were checking out to go stay somewhere else, Again NO Response!!! No apology, NO questions, NOTHING!!!! I wish someone would have left a review to let us know before we spent our hard earned money "
