This recently renovated vacation home is located 27 miles from Kings Dominion and 28 miles from University of Mary Washington. The vacation home also provides free Wifi, free private parking, and facilities for disabled guests. The air-conditioned vacation home is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenware, and 1 bathroom. A flat-screen TV is provided. There's also a seating area and a fireplace. Guests at the vacation home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Bumpass, like fishing and canoeing. Come enjoy the lake life at Lake Anna located on the public side in a private no wake cove. Walk right into the lake with a sandy bottom slope, nice swim area, 5’ water depth at the end of the dock. Dock easily provides space for 2 boats and 2 jet skis. This beautiful 200’ waterfront setting also has a neighborhood boat ramp access just a short distance, three blocks away.
The cottage deck faces the water for your morning coffee where you will enjoy watching the wildlife such as eagles, herons, ducks, and bass splashing out of the water. Gather around the fire pit for toasting and roasting marshmallows which could not be smores perfect. A grill for the chef and hammocks for relaxation. Outdoor and indoor games, peddle boat, paddle board, 2 kayaks, and a canoe. Please bring your own vests. Located on the public side of the lake close to restaurants, wineries, and shopping. LKA offers boat and jet ski rentals, fuel on the water and boat accessible restaurants.
The cottage comes well stocked with amenities, internet, Wi-Fi, HD smart tv where you can sign in and enjoy Netflix, Hulu, etc. Provides two bedrooms, three queen beds, six place settings at the kitchen table which also extends out if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, plates, utensils, granite countertops, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a compact washer/dryer combo. Plenty of cabinet storage for your needs. Fresh new bathroom with Bluetooth speaker with changing lights.
Our cleaning service makes sure the house is clean and sanitized between bookings. We conduct a thorough walkthrough ourselves to ensure that the house is clean, stocked and in order. Fresh sanitized laundry sheets are folded and wrapped, waiting for you on each bed. Plush clean towels are folded and provided for you under the sink. Extra clean blankets in dressers.

Adorable, recently and consistently renovated waterfront cottage with guest house and spacious shed converted to "man cave" offers plenty of space for the whole family and everything you need for an enjoyable extended weekend escape or week long vacation on the lake. Enjoy the open floor plan, flexible sleeping configuration with two bedrooms and a full bath in the main house, and a detached guest house with bedroom #3 and another full bath, totally private! The "man cave" offers additional recreation with window units and a refrigerator converted into a kegerator, darts, workshop space & more. Waterfront is amazing, with a single slip boathouse with lift + sundeck space, and the best of both worlds, tucked into a quiet, clear water cove, but quickly out to big water on Lake Anna's public side!

If you end up in the same position, the Dollar General has passable options for $10-$20 each. But save yourself $50 and bring your own. Second, the communication around check in is rough. We couldn't message the owner via app and only got check in information by calling while we were en route. It all worked out fine but just a heads up to nervous travelers. Otherwise the place was wonderful and we will be returning soon!"

PET FRIENDLY! This is a pet-friendly home. All guests will have a $400 refundable security hold placed on their visit, regardless of whether they bring a pet. If you are bringing a pet, there is an additional $100 non-refundable pet fee per pet. Please be sure to include your pets in your total guest count at booking—this will activate the pet fee. We allow up to 2 pets per stay. Small dogs are welcome, and medium to large dogs will be considered on a case-by-case basis with owner approval. The $400 security hold covers any potential damage or soiling and will be refunded after checkout if no issues are found.

To help you settle in comfortably, we provide a basic set of starter supplies in each of our vacation rentals. These items are intended to cover your needs for the first day or so and may not be sufficient for the duration of your stay. Guests are responsible for supplying any additional items they may need during their stay.

*Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the ID verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a $35 non-refundable damage waiver.

Minimum age of primary renter is 25.

Relax with the family at this waterfront cottage. Cottage sits only 100 ft from water’s edge, in a quiet no-wake cove of Lake Anna. 1,200 sq ft cottage located on acre with space to park your boat. Boat dock to tie up water toys and 2 kayaks for your enjoyment. Community boat ramp is 2 minute drive. Soak up the sun or enjoy lunch on the boat dock, with a sandy beach for the little ones. Back deck with gas grill after a day on the water and morning coffee with water views and wooded surroundings.

The cottage is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cozy open plan 1,200 sq. ft. cottage with bamboo flooring in the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway with carpeted bedrooms and tiled bathrooms.

The living room has an L shaped couch, end table with lamp and Power Cube, coffee table, entertainment center with 32" TV, Roku streaming device and DVD player. Power Cube has 3 AC outlets, 2 USB-A ports, and 1 USB-C port.

The main bedroom has a king size bed, walk-in closet (w/ hangers), dresser w/mirror and Power Cube, nightstands w/lamps (2) and ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

The second bedroom is water facing with a queen bed, closet (w/ hangers), nightstand w/lamp (1) and USB/AC Power Cube.

The third bedroom (located between the king and queen bedrooms) is a small bunk room with 2 bunk beds (4 beds). The bunk beds are best suited for children and are not suitable for larger adults.

Both the king and queen bedrooms have ceiling fans, the bunk room does not.

The second bathroom has a bath tub/shower combination with toilet and sink.

Hair dryers are provided in each bathroom.

Laundry with electric washer and dryer are located next to the second bathroom behind accordion sliding doors.

The open plan kitchen has an electric stove and oven, built-in overhead microwave, side-by-side fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice dispenser, dishwasher, small Keurig coffee machine, electric pop-up toaster and kettle.

As this is a vacation home, there are exterior security cameras at the front and back of the cottage. There are also always on security cameras that cover the boat dock (incl. off limits boat and jet skis).

If fast internet access is critical, then unfortunately this is not the place for you. While we do provide WiFi access, the service is not great, and can be slow at times. As a result, you may experience buffering when watching TV as that uses the same network. Complete outages are also common during and after storms. Unfortunately the only internet service currently available in the area is a WISP. It doesn’t help you booking now, but for future reference, the good news is we are scheduled to get fiber fast internet service in the Spring of 2024.

You will have access to the boat ramp (see listing photo) in the community common area. Access to the common area is controlled by an electronic gate. Common area rules and regulations must be complied with.

There are two kayaks that you are welcome to use, but the boat and both jet skis are strictly off limits. Do not sit, stand or climb on the boat or jet skis. Kayaks must be removed from water when not in use.

As shown in the listing photos, our boat (on lift) occupies the covered boat dock, and our jet-skis (on lifts) occupy the left side of the boat dock. The front of the boat dock is available to tie up your water toys. Please check water levels before tying up as water levels fluctuate.

The cottage is on a septic system and as such, any products other than toilet paper are not to be flushed, and all food, cooking oils, grease/fats and coffee grounds must be discarded in the trash.

List of provided items: Body soap, shampoo and conditioner (mounted dispenser in each bathroom), laundry pods, fabric softener dryer sheets, dish washing pods, toilet paper and kitchen roll, hair dryer in each bathroom; bedding for all beds (1 king, 1 queen and 4 bunk beds for a total of 6 beds)

- "Me and my family rented this beautiful property for 3 nights for my birthday weekend. We had an amazing time on the lake as the property has its own beach for my 6 year old son to fish and play all day in the sand. Our host also provided kayaks so we definitely took advantage and explored the lake further. The view from the back porch gives you an opportunity to catch the beautiful sunsets while preparing dinner or just relax on the comfy cushions. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and there was not much traffic to take a walk around. The nearest Food Lion Grocery store was about 10 minutes away, while there was a convenient store and gas station even closer. We found the property very welcoming, organized and extremely clean. We forgot to bring few things, but the host surprised us by having full kitchen essentials and laundry supplies. Host also was extremely responsive to our needs or questions and we really appreciated his attention to detail while hosting us. We will definitely be there again next year to spend our vacation time by the lake."
