The nearest, infrequently active, bus stop is a 2-hour walk away, the nearest shop is a 3-hour walk away, and the nearest railway station is a 5-hour walk away.”

Welcome to Saimaa's Villa Mustikka. The island has beautiful countryside view and epic possibilities to variety of outdoor activities, E.g. cycling, jogging or just wandering in the nature. The Äitsaari is famous of its cycling tours through the island. The island will challenge everyone in its mountaneous road profile. You can also fish in the Lake Saimaa. If fancied, it is not forbidden to just relax and enjoy the lakeside sauna and swimming in the clean freshwater lake :)

The space
A beautiful log house of 150 square metres in great condition with heating and cooling systems. 3 double beds and 4 comfortable mattresses to handle decent amount of people. A beautiful lakeside sauna. Lots of space in different patios. The sun sets beautifully behind the lake in evenings. Beautiful Finnish swamp-style duckboards allow you to walk from villa to lakeside sauna and dock barefoot. A decent-sized grass yard allows you to play variety of outdoor games. A beach with a shallow shore allows small children to swim and enjoy the water as well. Taking your trip to another level, you can rent a boat from a city f.e. Lappeenranta and launch it in the lake by own slipway of which is located in the backyard.
