Equipped with a traditional wood fired sauna stove, you can sit back and feel the steam cleanse you from the inside out, then afterward, make use of the spacious tiled shower room with a soothing rain shower.
On a warm afternoon, make your way outside to the sparkling heated pool (May - End September) where you can float lazily on your back and watch the treetops sway in the breeze. For something a little more active, there is a pool table and table tennis by the pool area or why not make your way out onto the generous lawn area with football goals and outdoor games.
Pack a picnic and meander through the forest along the marked trail where you will find a beautiful lake with a wonderful place to swim. There is a boat that you are welcome to take out onto the water and explore the area or even catch a fish or two while watching the sun set behind the trees on Ruuhijarv.
Then come back to the house for dinner and cook up your catch in the outdoor kitchen with a huge BBQ and plenty of prep space all while overlooking the forest.

Charming, renovated side apartment/ guest house. The property is located in the yard of our home, but guests have their own peace and privacy.

The proximity of the lake, Hvitträsk Museum, outdoor activities and a short distance to e.g. Porkkalanniemi, Meiko Nature Reserve, Linlo's outdoor area and Helsinki make the place special.

The space
The guesthouse is a renovated courtyard side apartment that serves as a study for us in the winter. The space is a 22m2 studio with a compact bathroom, double bed, kitchenette and covered terrace.

There is a ball grill and charcoal for grilling. The area is a peaceful countryside/loose detached house area.

The public beach is a short walk away and there are two old but functional bicycles.

Other things to note
The water heater is small and it is good to take a break between showers to get a hot shower. It takes longer to wash with lukewarm water.

You can drop the trash bag in the trash can on the hill when you leave.

The space
Manager and staff are very friendly and are willing to assist where possible to make your stay at the apartment a unique and memorable experience.

We offer a traditional Finnish cottage on Lake Lohja, within an hour drive of Helsinki international airport, the downtown capital area, Turku center and the Finnish Archipelago.
Offered are two buildings. the main building has a kitchen with beds in the shared area and a separate bedroom. The other building contains the Sauna and another bedroom.
A row boat and life jackets are provided for guests.

The space
This is a traditional style cottage. That means no running water, TV or WIFI! (Unplug, Unwind, and Rest!)

There is bed space for 7, but the space can accommodate more depending (for example sleeping space on the floor).

There is an Outhouse, and a well for washing dishes and sauna use. No running water in the main building, but there is an Electric pump supplying water for the sauna. Bathing water is heated in the wood fire stove in the sauna. Large freshwater containers intended for drinking are provided by host.

Main building is equipped with a stocked kitchen; there is a gas grill available for outside use as well as a fire pit. The market is an 8km drive and has a delivery service available.

During summer:
we kindly ask not to use the fireplace in the main building.

Local goods can be purchased such as Fresh organic chicken eggs, craft beer, local venison meat, local lamb, honey and artisan cheese. - speak with host.

Summer market Saturday morning in Sammatti beginning at 10 in the morning.
The local M-Market delivers groceries for a small fee of 8€

Typically we rent a week at a time (which is why the rate is offered on discount for a week stay). Weekends are acceptable but the rate is higher ( per night average).

Cottage is meant to be self service.

A peaceful and beautiful seaside location in the middle of nowhere, just a 30-minute drive from downtown Helsinki. Enjoy the best sauna experience in a wood-heated sauna with drinkable water. The beach sauna is right by the bay, next to a small sandy beach. Storms and waves do not disturb, the water is warmer than in the open sea, and no blue-green algae has been observed.

The pier and the adjacent sandy beach are shared with the main residential building and are available for everyone to use

In the middle of the forest, a relaxing holiday with the family. The birds are singing, the sun is setting, creating a beautiful reddish evening glow in the pine forest. Grill your favorite treats after a refreshing sauna trip and enjoy good company with your family and friends. Nuuksio natural park and Espoo & Helsinki attractions only half an hour's drive away.

SAUNA is located separately (70m) on the lake at the end of a small path:
- The water is heated in the water tank connected to the stove. Eg. to get hot water the sauna is to be heated with woodfire.
- Water is coming from the dwell from the main cottage.
- In addition to the steam & washing room, the sauna has a small changing room.

Property has NO shower NOR laundy machine.

Guest access
Cottage, sauna and the garden are for our guests to use. Firewood for heating sauna (and cottage if needed) are next to a hut. Free usage of wood.

Other things to note
Small sauna is located via trail (c. 70m trail from cottage) on lake Enäjärvi. Follow red ribbon path from the end corner of the garden.

Lake might get blue-green algae on hot summers in July/August. Guests are informed but there is always fresh water from drill well for Sauna for washing.

The atmospheric Beach Cottage is located in Kivisaari right by the sea. The room has 2 single beds. A small refrigerator, microwave, and kettle are equipped to make your stay comfortable and convenient. This idyllic cottage is perfect for relaxing with a seascape.

Boat tickets, breakfast, sauna shift (separate men's, women's shift, and mixed sauna), linens, and final cleaning.

Other things to note
The island has 8 dry toilets, a sauna for bathing, and a barbecue area. The water is drinkable (water points near the toilet building, no water points in the rooms).
