- "This is a 5* property. Magical location, deep in the woods. Poor checkin, given the wrong code for the key box and we could not contact anyone which we found very stressful. Only 1 key left for 3 self locking doors on house and log cabin. This key got locked in the log cabin and we were offered a second to be delivered for €80. We instead drove for 70 mins to pick it up. Feedback:- house needs larger fresher smelling bath towels, bigger glasses and a dishwasher that works."

A cozy and atmospheric old building with a fireplace that adds to the atmosphere in the living room and the plank floor creaks from time to time. A small triangle that can sleep three people. Two additional spots can be found for two in a guest cottage next to the hut, which is a winter habitable. The cottage also has an extra mattress. The torpa has basic heat on continuously and the guest house adjusts the heat if needed. Torpa has an air source heat pump, a fireplace, and electric radiators with which you can warm up a pleasant temperature. An electric radiator in the guest cottage. Towels and linens are included.
The backyard is fully fenced. There's one single-family home on the same shared lot, but you're still on your own.

Spend an unforgettable vacation in a traditionally built log cabin in a beautiful seaside location between Helsinki and Porvoo. Enjoy the sea view on the spacious terrace or on the large pier. On a separate patio, you can find wood/charcoal grill. The soft soaks of the wood-burning sauna and a dip from pier for a swim guarantee a restful night's sleep. Those who enjoy nature can try their luck by fishing from the pier or hanging out in the nearby forest while picking berries and mushrooms.

The space
The log cabin has 1 room that combines a cozy sleeping alcove with a 140 cm wide bed, a dining table, a small lounge area, and a kitchenette with a full-size stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, basic cooking utensils and dishes, coffee, tea, salt pepper and oil for cooking . The sofa converts into an extra bed (60x180 cm) if necessary.


The tap water point is in the dressing room of the sauna, where you can find drinkable water and a small hot water heater. It is possible to wash in the sauna, there is no shower, but you can wash yourself in the sauna traditional way with warm water. The toilet is a composting outdoor toilet 10 meters from the cabin. The cottage has electric heating and a large fireplace for when the nights cool down. The fireplace can only be used in the cooler season, although you can burn candles in the nest to create a cottage atmosphere.


Possibility to order breakfast necessities at a separate price. The host family lives in the main building approx. 80 meters away. The host family may pass by the cottage when leaving or returning from boating at separately agreed times.

Guest access
The best way to get to us is by car (only 25 minutes from the airport, 45 minutes from the center of Helsinki) or even by bike. The bus comes 2.5 km away a few times a day. Thanks to its own pier, you can also arrive by boat.

With your own car, you can easily visit the atmospheric old town of Porvoo (approx. 20 min). Less than 2 kilometers away is the Konst o Form art exhibition with a bistro. Just 2.5 km away is the Portö Line connecting pier, which allows you to reach the archipelago, for example the Söderskär lighthouse or the sandy beaches of Norrkullalandet island, where in the summer there is also a cafe and free-to-use barbecue places, or just to experience the archipelago landscape. Also possibility to rent 2 sea kayaks (units) or 1 sup board to visit nearby islands.

Less than 10 km away, you can also find the great Sipoonkorpi National Park. Thanks to all this, the cabin is an ideal stopover for those who appreciate nature and the sea, in a central location but in your own peace in the middle of diverse nature.

Other things to note
The destination is not suitable for people with mobility impairments or those who party loudly. Access to the beach is downhill along a narrow path.

Relax with the whole family in this peaceful cottage on the shore of beautiful Lake Lohjanjärvi. A traditional wooden sauna on its own beach only 40 minutes from Espoo and 50 minutes from Helsinki. In summer, facilities for up to 10 people. Good fishing waters for fishing lovers (pike perch, perch, whitefish, pike). The motorboat (4.5 meter open boat + 40 hp outboard motor) is not included in the rental price. In winter, the plowing of the road must be arranged in advance, the guest cottage does not heat up in severe frosts, and the washing water must be fetched from the opening in lake ice.

Cozy, traditional cottage by a peaceful and clean lake, an hour's drive from Helsinki. The cottage is equipped with a touch of comfort; an indoor toilet, hot and cold tap water, and a well-stocked kitchen make it easy to vacation.
The cottage is on a sunny west bank and you can take a dip from your own dock or make a rowing or fishing trip to the lake. There's room in the front yard for activities or just a relaxed stay in a hammock or under a shade in front of a dining group.

Summer cottage 69m2 with one bedroom with double bed, combined living room and dining area, kitchen and indoor toilet. The cottage comfortably accommodates 4 people. In the living room, in front of the fireplace, the sofa bed is 140cm wide. The living room has blackout curtains. The kitchen is well equipped and there is tableware for four.
There is also a summer room about 12m2 in a separate building at the back of the yard, which is comfortably cool in the heat. There's a bed for two. The summer room is on June 15th.-15.8. Wood-heated sauna in the main building with a shower for bathing. In connection with the sauna, a dressing room with a hand basin with warm water. The cottage and separate summer room have good and clean indoor air.
Your own private beach in the backyard, you can take a dip from the dock. Large front yard with dining set and hammock. On the lake side, almost the width of the house, a narrow terrace with a small table and chairs. Electric smoke pit in use, as well as a large coal-fired ball grill. The water comes in from your own well. The tap water is drinkable, checked last time in the fall of 2024. The rent also includes access to two bicycles (one for men, one for women), a rowing boat, life jackets (adult 50-70kg, 4x children (2x10-20kg, 15-30kg and 30-40kg), 1x baby (0-10kg), two sup boards, fishing liners (onget, smirk) and power and firewood.

The cottage is located in the middle of nature, so a car makes it easier to vacation. Nearest bus stop (to Turku and Helsinki) about 5 km away. The drive from the center of Helsinki to the cottage is about 54 km, from Helsinki-Vantaa airport about 56 km.

The whole island is yours during your stay and the island is only 95km /1 hour drive from Helsinki.

The space
The Villa interior is modern Scandinavian design. From the huge floor to ceiling windows you have fantastic views to the lake and sunset. Kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwashing machine. We have also invested in Marimekko tableware so you can enjoy a beautiful setting while dining. In the terrace you have gas barbeque grill.

The island has electricity and even wifi. Reasonable amount of fire wood is included.
In the lakeside sauna you can enjoy the heat and flames from wood burning IKI Kiuas sauna stove and "sauna and lake swimming" experience. The water is heated in the sauna in the traditional “pata” / large pot. Please note that there is no separate shower but the bathing takes place in the sauna.

The beach is quite steep so you need to watch out with small children.

Bedrooms: In the Villa there is master bedroom with Unikulma double bed. In the back of the living room there is sofa bed and the space has some privacy with curtains. In the half high loft there is twin bed and also few additional mattresses. In the sauna cabin there is additional bedroom with double bed. Thus, the island can accommodate even 6 + 4 persons. Please bring your own linen and towels. We can also provide you one with extra cost.

The island is perfect for families and couples seeking their moment in the private paradise. Please note that in the lake all noise carried very far and respecting the neighbors is necessary. Thus, the island is not rented for party purposes.

Guest access
You can use our small electric motor boat to get to the island or even row. The distance from the main land is only 650m. It will take approx. 10-15min max to reach the island from the small harbour where you can park your car.

The island is also just next to a boat channel so it is possible to anchor also your own bigger boat.

The place is not suitable for people with mobility impairments because of the terrain and the boat trip.

Other things to note
Even though the island facilites are modern, we try to keep it ecological and respecting the classical characters of Finnish “mökki”. So the place is a mix of luxury and ecology.

The tap water is coming from the lake and it is purified with reverse osmosis cleaning system. The system purifies certain amount of water per hour and the water is safe to drink. We also supply you with bottled water to drink, just in case.

The toilet is “traditional Finnish cabin toilet” in the country yard, so called “huussi”. It is Eco-toilet, producing completely biodegradable waste / compost.
