The space
This is an older cabin with simple furnishings and power supply located about 200 m from the garden we live on. It is easy to drive to the cabin,as the cabin is located right by our private road,which we use daily,and there is parking right outside the cabin.There is no added water,so we fill up the water bottle with clean drinking water to have in the cabin.A fridge,with a small freezer and a hot plate is available. There is also a simple frying pan and pot in the cabin. There is an outhouse just outside the cabin.
This is an amazing place with nature as the closest neighbor. Here you can relax in front of the fireplace with a good book, bring fishing rod to fish nice aure,or do you like and do you like to hike in the mountains to pick mushrooms and berries then this is a perfect place
From the cabin you can go to Vårlivarden which is a nice and child-friendly trip. The mountain is just under 400 meters above sea level,and has lovely views of Ryfylket and Stavanger Peninsula.

Here you can go down to use the gap we have,to borrow the boat so true that there are no guests in the gap as this and is rented out. This is agreed with the host

The cottage is next door where we have our "work place" with splitting firewood,storing div equipment etc. When there are guests in the cabin, we want the guests to have quiet and quiet,so then we do not work,but the sight of tractor, and various utensils standing in the backyard of the cabin, one must count on and see. We also rent out a Gapahuk located by the water,so if you want to go down to fish or take a bath, there may be a possibility that there are others also by the water.

Our very tiny Cowboy Cabin was built after repeated visits to the motel The Old West Inn, in Willits, CA (USA). The house was first planned as a playhouse, then it became more advanced and has served as a playhouse and guest house. Electricity and wifi are installed, cabin toilet and cabin sink (there is no shower). There is a fire pit, sundeck on the roof with sun from morning to evening, if the sun is shining. The cabin is tiny, but has many smart solutions for good well-being and coziness.

The space
Our micro cabin has its limitations. The cowboy cabin can still bring joy and perhaps recreate childhood memories 🤠.

You can of course book a stay over a longer period of time, but we recommend short term stays (1-3 days).

The cabin is an extra fun place for the youngest guests to stay.

The garden is used by us, our kids, family, friends, and our boxer dog. Our boxer dog really loves people inclusive strangers but be warned she can be overexcited to see you (wants to play) 😊.

By request you might be able to use the guest shower in our house (only if we are at home) since there is no shower in the Cowboy Cabin.

The closest grocery store is a 5 min walk from here, Helgø Meny located in a shared building with a takeaway pizza place called Pizzabakeren, a hairdresser and a pharmacy.

The Cowboy Cabin is located approx. a 1/2 hour walk from the city center of Sandnes. From the city center you can take the train (15 min) to Stavanger. You can also take bus to Stavanger and other areas in the district.

Kvadrat shopping mall is one of Norway largest shopping malls, 160 stores under one roof. It is a 5 min. drive from here.

You will find electric car chargers at Kvadrat and a petrol station next to Kvadrat. Tesla Superchargers are located at Lagerveien 9, Stavanger (9min drive) or in Jorenholmen P-hus in the city center of Stavanger (18 min drive).

Simple cabin in beautiful surroundings. The cabin has a large loft space that sleeps 16+ people (mattresses on the floor). The cabin is in a hub of excellent hiking trails and has electricity but no running water.

The space
Maudland cabin is primarily for personal use, but you or your group can rent the cabin for overnight or event by making an appointment well in advance. The old house is scenically situated just off Maudland farm and has a large loft space for many staying guests. It is also located in a hub of hiking trails for those who like to go hiking.

Simple accommodations, sleeping arrangements on old mattresses, sheets or sleeping bags are required. The cabin is self-managing. You clean and prepare it for the next guest, just as you want to find it yourself.

The location is easy to find with a search in maps, and guests must reach the cabin without assistance. Tenants must have their own car or means of arrival.

The cabin is ideal for couples, friends or larger families with children. It invites you to relax and connect with nature.

The space
The cabin is situated between the forest and fjord, with a 5 minute walking trail from the main road. The trail from the main road to the cabin is rugged terrain with no lights. recommended backpack. Water is limited to 50 liters a day and retrieved from rainfall, but there is both hot-water and an out doors shower with hot water. Though the cabin is old fashioned, it has both electricity, wireless internet, television, dishwasher and hi-fi surrond speakers.

The cabin is located close to fantastic fjord sites like Preikestolen (Pulpit rock) in Lysefjord and Kjerag approcimately 1hr and 2hr drive from the cabin. We can also recommend Flor & Fjære, Old Stavanger, Sola Strand, Klosterøy - Utstein Abbey...

Steep mountain ranges if you want to get down to the seaside.

The outside shower has no privacy. Some do not like being on display even though it is far to people. For those how are shy, wear bathing clothes.

Fishing is possible just outside the cabin, and guests can borrow equipment and several rods. Bring with your own fishing hook. In the summer, sea-crabs will crawl up the rocks at nighttime and can easily be caught by hand or rakes.

Traditional Norwegian cabin in the mountain with picturesque landscape. Excellent for fishing, hiking, picking wild berries, walking, skiing, or a swim in the river. Ski lift for down hill skiing (Slalom) is approximately 15-20 minutes away by car.

The space
The cabin is very basic without running water and electricity. Drinking water can be collected from the nearby stream (10 meters away) and power for lighting and mobile phone charging is provided by solar panels. Composting toilet. Cooking by gas hobs and heating is provided by two wood burning stoves. Wood and gas is included in the price.

The cabin is approximately 1,20 hours drive from Stavanger and 20 minutes from Sirdal where there is a convience store and petrol station.

In one and a half hour you can drive to the path leading to the famous pulpit rock (Preikestolen) and Kjerag in Lysefjorden.

The area is beautiful in all seasons. Skiing from December to May.

The space
The cottage is about 70 sqm and has 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms have a double bed with space for 2. The bathroom is about 5 sqm and contains a toilet and shower.

There is about 120 sqm terrace with stunningly lovely views close to nature, mountains and wildlife.

The terrace has outdoor kitchen, barbecue, sitting area, dining table, sunbed and outdoor shower.

We strive to follow all national laws when it comes to vegetation and intervention in Norwegian nature. It is not free to enter water and sewage in the area, but we have tried to best resolve this in the best possible way with what current technology and solutions are accommodating.

There is stately water and electricity but not through the public - the cabin is complete off-Grid with solar power and battery bank so here you can relax with good environmental integrity.

The toilet is the vacuum toilet type which is more environmentally friendly but is happy to require a little more flushing

The place is ideal for hikers, tourists, families with young children or couples who want a complete weekend disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There is grazing area for sheep outside the cottage - that is why it is compulsory for all dogs throughout the year on the whole area. Parking at your own right.

Solastrandenanden offers some of Rogaland's best bathing and hiking opportunities as well as the possibility of kiting and surfing. Road/Path to cabin:
The gravel path that leads to the cabin from the private gravel road is not authorized for cars. The path is a tractor road used for logging. Guests can drive on this road to pack/unpack their car at the cabin only if the host is present to open the electronic gate. Inform host 24 hours before arrival. 4x4 or AWD car is recommended because of gravel roads and inclines on the tractor road. Guests cannot park on the logging road and must move their car 100 meters down to the designated parking place when they have unpacked their car.

The cabin is beautifully located in the end of Frafjord. Wake up to breathtaking views all year round. If you'd like to take a bath in the fjord, just go straight out.
