The cabin is in a quiet environment between Norwegian fjords and mountains. The cottage was built in 1890, and has been completely renovated in recent times. All the windows in the house are fairly new and retain the heat in the house well .. The walls are clad with wood cladding and painted with nice colors, which preserve the natural expression .. Pleasant holiday home in scenic surroundings close to the sea. The holiday home has 3 bedrooms with space for 6 people in total. In one bedroom the lower bunk is 120cm. Well-equipped kitchen with i.e. microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and waffle iron. The cabin is heated by electricity and a wood stove. Electricity and firewood are included in the price. There is free wireless network, TV with Altibox. Bathroom with shower cubicle, WC, and washbasin. Underfloor heating in the floor. Outside the holiday home there is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There are two parking spaces directly below the cabin. Great opportunities for family activities in the area, such as Alsvik Nature Center 10 minutes away, a small football field below the cabin and croquet, badminton, and board games available. Possibility for boat trips with the owner, where you can visit Stavanger and Lysefjorden (to be arranged on tel. +47 900 92 868). In the boathouse, there is seating for 10, absolutely great for summer nights and a crab meal. Possible to fish for sea trout from the quay. Place for cleaning fish with running water. Many opportunities for exciting trips in the area: Vårlivarden, Ørnehammeren, Stjakubben, Kjerag, Dalsnuten (Sandnes), and the famous Pulpit. In the lake Tengesdalsvannet 12 minutes away, you can swim. Lutsi Horse Center is only 5 minutes away. There is a grocery store in Høle 5 km away. In the cabin, you will find a folder with brochures about various sights as well as practical information.

The space
This is an older cabin with simple furnishings and power supply located about 200 m from the garden we live on. It is easy to drive to the cabin,as the cabin is located right by our private road,which we use daily,and there is parking right outside the cabin.There is no added water,so we fill up the water bottle with clean drinking water to have in the cabin.A fridge,with a small freezer and a hot plate is available. There is also a simple frying pan and pot in the cabin. There is an outhouse just outside the cabin.
This is an amazing place with nature as the closest neighbor. Here you can relax in front of the fireplace with a good book, bring fishing rod to fish nice aure,or do you like and do you like to hike in the mountains to pick mushrooms and berries then this is a perfect place
From the cabin you can go to Vårlivarden which is a nice and child-friendly trip. The mountain is just under 400 meters above sea level,and has lovely views of Ryfylket and Stavanger Peninsula.

The cottage is next door where we have our "work place" with splitting firewood,storing div equipment etc. When there are guests in the cabin, we want the guests to have quiet and quiet,so then we do not work,but the sight of tractor, and various utensils standing in the backyard of the cabin, one must count on and see. We also rent out a Gapahuk located by the water,so if you want to go down to fish or take a bath, there may be a possibility that there are others also by the water.

The house you will be staying in is located in one of the finest areas of Stavanger / Sola. It lies high up, in a very safe and quiet area, with a wonderful wiew of the Hafrsfjord, at only a 5 minutes walk from UIS, the University if Stavanger.

It is my hope and wish that guests are willing to help preserve the unique peace and quiet that characterizes the property, so if you need to regularly play loud music or have loud conversations, then this is probably not the place for you.

Our very tiny Cowboy Cabin was built after repeated visits to the motel The Old West Inn, in Willits, CA (USA). The house was first planned as a playhouse, then it became more advanced and has served as a playhouse and guest house. Electricity and wifi are installed, cabin toilet and cabin sink (there is no shower). There is a fire pit, sundeck on the roof with sun from morning to evening, if the sun is shining. The cabin is tiny, but has many smart solutions for good well-being and coziness.

The space
Our micro cabin has its limitations. The cowboy cabin can still bring joy and perhaps recreate childhood memories 🤠.

You can of course book a stay over a longer period of time, but we recommend short term stays (1-3 days).

The cabin is an extra fun place for the youngest guests to stay.

The garden is our sharing environment.
The garden is used by us, our kids, family, friends, and our boxer dog. Our boxer dog really loves people inclusive strangers but be warned she can be overexcited to see you (wants to play) 😊.

Feel free to use the water hose located on the wall of our house (beside the firepit), to flush boots etc. when needed.

By request you might be able to use the guest shower in our house (only if we are at home) since there is no shower in the Cowboy Cabin.

You might be able to use the firepit (you can sit there without asking us. If you want to light it, you will have to do this by request).

Other things to note
The closest grocery store is a 5 min walk from here, Helgø Meny located in a shared building with a takeaway pizza place called Pizzabakeren, a hairdresser and a pharmacy.

The Cowboy Cabin is located approx. a 1/2 hour walk from the city center of Sandnes. From the city center you can take the train (15 min) to Stavanger. You can also take bus to Stavanger and other areas in the district.

Kvadrat shopping mall is one of Norway largest shopping malls, 160 stores under one roof. It is a 5 min. drive from here.

You will find electric car chargers at Kvadrat and a petrol station next to Kvadrat. Tesla Superchargers are located at Lagerveien 9, Stavanger (9min drive) or in Jorenholmen P-hus in the city center of Stavanger (18 min drive).

Jørpeland is a nice starting point to go on a trip. Most people want to visit the Pulpit Rock, Kjerag or to walk the Flørlit stairs. Please ask if you need tips for other trips.

The room you can rent is an airy and spacious basement with private bathroom and entrance.
The bed can be made into single bed, double bed or two separate beds. It is possible to close the room with sliding door.

The accommodation is located in a cozy neighborhood close to Stavanger city center.

The space
The accommodation is close to Stavanger city center, only 20 minutes to walk. It is 2 min to the nearest bus stop and 15 min to grocery store.

The home is located in the district of Paradis with protected wooden houses. The house about 150 years old and was a stable to Storhaug farm. In the end of the 19th century, sausages are produced in the house, hence the street name. It is in a blind alley, with very little traffic, but open to walkers and cyclists.

The several nice hiking areas nearby, including what has been named Stavanger's finest hiking trail, namely the round about the coastline to Storhaug.

Nice neighborhood where everyone sets up for each other, respect for differences, breakfast with each other, stables nearby, horses on a trip, etc.
