Newly renovated Bungalow (august 2016) located close by the sea and just 15 min from the city center by car. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need and got one of the best views on town.
The bus leaves every hour, and the bus stop is close by.
Its a very peaceful place where you can get away from all of the stress in the city and light pollution which is a very ideal location to see the northern lights. Sit down by the ocean and catch a glimps of the sea eagle or the porpoises swimming by. Or take a hiking trip in the forest next to the house.
Parking is by the road and only 1 minute walk down.
There is a mezzanine bed upstairs or a comfortable sleeping couch downstairs.
It is not wheelchair accessible.
Its truly an amazing place which i highly recommend!

Welcome to our colorful home! We are a family of five, with children of 10, 13 and 18 years, mom and dad. Our neighborhood is quiet and the house is close to both nature and public transport. From the living room we have good views, and the house is nice and airy on a hill. Even though there are several houses close by, it feels private and sheltered. In the garden it is possible to relax, enjoy yourself by the fire pit or play on the lawn and trampoline.

In the past we only rented out one room and some of the reviews are from that time.

The space
The house is nicely located down in the garden, with good views and a lot of light and air.

For the summer months: From the terrace there is direct access to the garden, with playroom, trampoline and sheltered seating. It is 400 meters to the nearest bathing water in the city market, and a short distance to grocery stores and public transport. The city center is 4 km away.

For the winter months: There are usually nice snow conditions here during the winter holidays, and you can walk from here and out on Bymarkas ski slopes. At Kyvannet, an ice skating rink is broken and you take 5-10 minutes to walk there.

We fire a lot of wood when we are at home, and you can find wood in the woodshed right by the entrance.

Guest access
On the main floor is the spacious living room and kitchen, bathroom with shower and bathtub, laundry room and a bedroom with double bed.

In the loft is the children's two bedrooms with one and two beds, and with space for extra floor mattress.

In the basement you have access to the basement living room, and here there is a bed and an extra mattress. TV and playstation are also located here. The rest of the basement level is private.

It is close to bus stops and E6. There are several super markets nearby. There are three parking spots available(it might be none parking places during heavy snow winter time). The bedroom is underground.

Guest access
You will have your private bedroom. You can use the kitchen(except the coffee machine), bathroom(bathtub is not included), laundry room and living room. Please inform me in advance if you plan to use the kitchen and laundry room.

Please be tidy and clean. Please be quiet after 2300.

NB: there are music instruments (guitars, keyboard and a drum set) in the house. There is normally a jam session for the band once a week. And I have a practice routine 30-60 mins everyday (in early evenings). But it is flexible and most likely not the drums. 😉 please send messages to me if you have concerns regarding to above😊

The room has a double sofa bed that sleeps one or two persons. You have access to the kitchen, a shelf in the fridge and shared bathroom. There is a TV and a table to work at. My house is a detached bungalow with a garden situated in a quiet residential area. It's in walking distance to Trondheim Spektrum, St.Olav Hospital, the NTNU and the city centre. The house is near the river Nidelven where you can go for nice walks along the river to Bakklandet, Solsiden and the Trondheim fjord.

The space
All measures are taken for you to feel safe in my home during this corona pandemic. After each guest the room is properly aired, all surfaces, door handles, keys, banisters etc are properly cleaned. Bottles of hand disinfectants are placed at the entrance, and we greet without shaking hands and keep at at least 1 metre distance. Before using the kitchen, we all wash our hands, and you have your own hand and kitchen towels.

Please avoid using heavily scented liquids like perfume and especially, aftershave. It takes lots of efforts, strong chemicals and many days to get the smell out of the bed, the room and the bathroom.

The space
The apartment is close to Sirkus Shopping centre, Tiger Butikk and Plantasjen (just next to Rema 1000 supermarket ). Valentinlyst is another close shopping centre. The famous IKEA store is also not far. NTNU Gløshaugen campus is within a walkable distance The distance to the bus stops is not more than 5min. There are direct buses to town and also to NTNU university, just a few minutes. Three different buses can be accessed (no. 12, 10 and 22).

The place has many RESTAURANTS nearby:
1)Prego Pizzeria and Grill at Plantasjen near Rema 1000 supermarket.
2) Sabrura, Big Bite, Krem and Food Court (all located inside Sirkus Shopping Mall).
3) Bugatti, Melhus Bakeri (both located at Valentinlyst.
4) Egon Restaurant (located inside the famous Tyholt Tower).

Guest access
You will be able to access your private bedroom. The toilet and bathroom, the kitchen, the dining and the balcony may sometimes be shared. You can also access the parking and the extra storage places in the basement. The outside view also has some seats and tables; a very nice compound for summer.

During your stay
Most of the times I am away for work. However, I try my level best to avail myself whenever needed, especially with some socialization and giving necessary help. I know most guests are new in the area and additional help may be required. I give this much attention!

Other things to note
1) In case you come with a vehicle, please remember to ask for the parking card from me, it's for free, otherwise if you just park without a card you may be charged.

2) Please remember that you have a right to use any amenity lying in the common or shared places; tv, dining, balcony, coffee machine and others. Don't be shy! Just feel at home, you are the boss, enjoy and command!

3) You don't need my presence to check out. Just lock the door to the apartment then put the keys under the door mat. The blessings will follow you :)

4) In case you are to use the washing machine, there's a switch in the bathroom that I have to show you upon arrival. You have to put this switch off whenever washing, otherwise power will go off. Remember to put the switch on immediately after washing. If you don't do this, the bathroom will not have warm water, it's connected with the heating system. Don't worry about the switch when using the drier.

5) If power abruptly goes off in some parts of the apartment, it's very easy to fix. There's a bundle of keys in the living room near that place with wines. One of them opens the meter box. The meter box is just at the entrance of the apartment on the right as you go out. Open it and put back one of the circuit breakers. Everything will be fine.

6) You can always have one or more of the wines and alcoholic drinks lying in the living room at a relatively cheaper price. You can inquire more about this.

7) The apartment has 3 rooms. One is for the host, the other 2 are guest rooms. The host is away most of the times for work, especially evenings and nights.

The space
The room is part of a four-room apartment of 75 sqm with elevator. The room is 8.3 sqm. Furnished with a bed, office desk, office chair, cabinet with shelves and private smart TV with connection for PC. The apartment and room are on the third floor. To the right when you exit the elevator. I can arrange an extra mattress on the floor for an extra guest for an additional fee.

The kitchen is well equipped. Shared living room and veranda. There is also a rooftop terrace on the 12th floor with a great view of Trondheim, and that can be used for good sunny days.

Common room door is usually kept closed to give guests more privacy when walking from the room to the bathroom.

We have balanced ventilation that provides good air 24 hours a day, there is an extra charcoal filter that filters the outdoor air.

Located on the main road, well insulated windows against noise from the street.

Gests have access to shared living room, balcony/porch, kitchen and bathroom. The rooftop on the 12th floor also available. Bicycle can be located in the basement.

Other things to note
There is an elevator and handicap staircase outside the block. The bathroom with a toilet has a relatively high rise in relation to the floor in progress.
Excellent starting point for sightseeing in Trondheim and as a job place for work trips or study stays. Or you have errands on St.Olavs.

Smart TV can be used as an extra PC monitor and is connected to the internet and can be connected to your smartphone.

It is possible to smoke on the porch with the window open and the door to the living room closed.
