Our Lodge has a combined area for dining and relaxing. A kitchen table, Six chairs, comfortable sofa, TV and a view outside from the big windows.

The Kitchen is very modern, equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and a breakfast station with many appliances (toaster, kettle, coffee machine, waffle iron)
All the kitchen ware and also plastic ware for our younger guests.

Bathroom
Lodge has a lovely bathroom with rain shower, washing machine, toilet, hair dryer. All the washing lotions are provided (shampoo, conditioner and body lotion)

Sauna
Lodge has a big electric sauna, that is simple to use and control. There is also an access from sauna to the patio to cool down or even roll on the snow!

Extras
By request a travel bed for baby or small child can be arranged, as well as a babychair.

There is a big front patio, you can access it from the living room and bathroom, it is also an excellent place to view the northern lights

Aurora vieving point
Outside there is an aurora viewing point with outdoor fireplace, comfy seats and firewood. This spot is great for viewing northern lights, since there is not a lot of light pollution in the area. At this point the auroras are usually right in front of you if they are visible. In the cabin you can find manual on how to make a fire, feel free to ask for help as well!

The space

At Kotalaava, you can view the landscape of the open forest, as well as gaze at the starry sky of darkening evenings. Might be the northern lights of a flare right in front of you. There is also a small sledding hill on the Kotalaava.
There are also a couple of fire spots in the yard that you can use to make BBQ, among other things.

In the yard of the residential building, you'll find a traditional Finnish wood-burning sauna that is heated in the evenings. Each cabin has its own 55-minute sauna shift. Sauna time will be arranged upon arrival. Next to the sauna, you'll find a *heroes bath where you can freshen up and feel the arctic touch.

It is easy to get to the place by bike, car and public bus. The place/residential yard is located only about 50 meters from the main road. Forest cabin 240 m. from the yard on foot.

Cosy "cottage" (actually house 120m2) for your own use. Very quiet and perfect when travelling with children. One bedroom (separate beds) for two people. In the "tupa" (=living room) there are beds for 4 people.
Very well equipped kitchen, washing machine for clothes.

This cottage is 25km from Rovaniemi so you need to rent a car (no e-car).
Weather in winter can be very cold, even -35 degrees. So remember to have proper winter clothes with you. The cottage is very warm and cosy anyway.
