For those who appreciate the peace of nature and the countryside. On the front of the cottage, a wide field landscape opens up, which you can admire from a sheltered terrace.
The garden has berry bushes and apple trees whose fruits are free to use.
Extended rentals are also possible, furnished.
Please take care of any intermediate cleaning yourself, with the cleaning supplies found in the cottage.

The space
The grandma's cottage is located in the old yard of about 14 years old, where the host couple also lives.
The cottage has a living kitchen, toilet and shower, a separate bedroom with a double bed.
Yard sauna available 30€/ party and lots of summertime 60€. Not much is available during the winter season.
The kitchen is equipped with oven, stove(electric), wood stove( which is a bit challenging to make work), microwave, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher.
The kitchen is also equipped with basic dishes and cooking utensils.

From the bus stop (Virenoja), the cottage is about 1.4km away. By car about 30min to Lahti and 10min to Orimattila.

About 20km to the center of Lahti and about 20km from Helsinki to get there in an hour. The complex consists of two log cabins built in 2017. Sauna cottage in a wood stove. Large terraces, if agreed upon hot tub.

The space
In the main cabin, the kitchen, the bedroom and the spacious sleeping loft, and the living room. In a small cottage with a separate large cottage, dressing room and sauna. On the wooden patio between the cabins, it's a pleasure to enjoy the summer, lounge on sun loungers, follow the life of the lake, and watch the lighthouse from the starry sky. A barbecue hut on the beach, a 2022 renovated pier, a rowing boat, and about 50 meters of its own shoreline for water tickets.

Both cabins are electrified. In a large cabin, an air source heat pump that makes the space cool even in the summer heat. In addition, a wood-burning fireplace and electric radiators. In the sauna cottage, its own small refrigerator, electric radiators, and the possibility of a portable air conditioner that makes space cool.

There is no running water in the cabins. As a service water, the lake water (with an electric pump to the corner of the sauna) and as drinking water from the Church Village in the water pipes. The rent includes 20l of clean drinking water, delivered to the cottage.

Please note that the cottage has a traditional Finnish wooden sauna where the washing takes place. The water is heated to the heater in the water tank. The toilet is a clean, composting outdoor toilet. No modern bathroom.

Visit your own sheets and towels.

The hot tub on the patio is an inflatable, electrically heated 5-7 person hot tub. The use of the hot tub must be agreed upon separately. A lot can only be used when the weather is on the plus side.

The yard of the cottage can be reached year-round by car.
There are elevation differences and a few stairs in the area, so it's not accessible.

The cottage is mostly for its own use and is rented occasionally to those who behave in a tidy and tidy manner.

Guests must bring their own linens and towels. This may also be agreed that they will be arranged by the host. Final cleaning is not included in the price. The visitor agrees to clean the space according to the instructions in the cabin folder. (The dishes are washed, trash &bottles are cleaned out, furniture is in place, at least the space sweeping/vacuuming. Trash in garbage cans, food items off, countertops are wiped.) Spaces are left in the condition they were in when they arrived.

A spacious and recently renovated sauna and bathroom invite you to relax.
The cottage has good storage space and the clothes can be dried in the drying cabinet. With summer heaters, the air source heat pump comfortably cools the interior.

You will need your own car to get to the Villa, because of the remote location.

Place has excellent swimming opportunities, and you can even jump from the dock. Our guests also have the opportunity to freely use SUP boards and a three-person rowing boat with life jackets. There are also fishing rods to use.

The grass field in the yard also allows for versatile yard games, and guests can use e.g. pétanque, croquet, darts and mölkky.

In winter, when the lake freezes over, you can walk on the lake's ice, go ice-skating, ski and skate.

There is space for 5 cars in the yard, and there are additional spaces near by (50m). The nearest electric car fast charging point can be found in Vääksy.

Upon arrival, a magnificent traditional log cabin and a barn (two separate buildings) await you. The main building has one bedroom upstairs. Downstairs there is a living room with a kitchen, a dressing room and a completely renovated sauna. The barn, on the other hand, has three bedrooms upstairs and downstairs there is a living room with a kitchen and a living area with a sofa bed.

The summer kitchen is perfect for grilling and enjoying meals with friends and family. The smoke sauna provides a traditional Finnish bathing experience, guaranteed to leave you feeling rejuvenated. The campfire site is perfect for roasting marshmallows and stargazing.
