- "Staff was very friendly, cordial. We arrived early and they made every effort to have our room ready as soon as possible without even asking. They greeted us with a glass of cold tea which was very good and much needed because we were thirsty from walking from the pier to the hotel. They also let us know that the breakfast time had already finished but since the following day we were leaving early to take the ferry they could offer us the included breakfast on the day of our arrival, so we had a wonderful and homey breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and it was heaven because we had just come by ferry and hadn't had time to have breakfast. They had water, coffee and tea at the lobby all day. We could walk to the main pier and shopping and dining areas easily, safely and comfortably."

- "We ended up staying here for a total of almost 2 weeks. We would stay here and then check out to go do treks in the jungle, but then always return to this hotel. The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Everything is very clean, there is always hot water. They have a free baggage storage service, that's nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pots and pans, dishes etc. There's a nice outside area where you can sit and enjoy a view of the city. Because we kept checking in and leaving and coming back, we got to stay in a total of three rooms, all the rooms that we have seen were really nice. All of them are out of direct sunlight. All the rooms are very spacious. One nice thing is that they ask that you keep your shoes just outside the main entrance, but you can walk around in sandals. This is part of why the floors and everything else are so clean and beautiful. And it also establishes that you can trust the place, your stuff is safe sitting out by the door. The hostel is maybe 15 minutes walk away from the main part of the city, it's just removed enough so that you don't have the noises of the city around you and it's peaceful. It has a really great view over the city, there are some little shops and restaurants just a couple minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and if we come back, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. "

There was a 32 LCD TV w/ DirectTV (Spanish only ch), large closets. Yes the entire property is old so expect aged furnishing. But decent for the price. The bathroom was fully functional. Though there was mold building up on the ceiling (they had this odd popcorn style texture). Nonetheless the it was clean, shower water pressure was good and decently hot. No toiletries, but a store is right next door. Cheap too. I would stay again if there. Location and great people."
