Self check-in with a lockbox, so late arrival is not a problem.

Check-in is at 4 pm, and check out is at 11 am. Early arrival and late departure may be available for a fee of $50.

Easy check-in process! You will self-check in with a lock box. Details will be emailed to you five days prior to arrival or upon booking, if within five days. You will access the rental at your leisure after 4 pm. Early check-in may be available for a $50 fee.

Clean Accommodations! – Your private room should be sparkling clean. The common areas are cleaned twice per month, so we can't guarantee the status of the house upon your arrival as other people will likely be there actively using the home.

Great Mendenhall Valley Location! – It's steps from the city bus stop and two miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier which you can get to by car or foot via a paved bike path or gravel trail. You can take the bus for one mile and walk the second mile. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley. This location, for the price, should not be compared to downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 16 miles, then this space is not for you.

Accurate Description of the space! - We try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do our best to keep the changes updated and published. If we miss anything, please let us know. We will fix it. If you are missing something you were counting on, please tell us immediately, so we can try to provide it for your stay.

Great Value! – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season. While this is a more affordable option, we understand it can still be expensive. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have long, slow periods here in Alaska.

- "My friend and I stayed here for a few days of vacation in Juneau. We had a vehicle so that made our stay super convenient as we were near the airport and ferry terminal, and could easily make the drive into downtown when we wanted. The house was super clean and tidy, room was comfortable and check in was very easy. Only note was there was a massive wasp nest outside of the bedroom window which was interesting to watch but meant we couldn’t open the windows! I passed this on to the host who sounded like they would deal with it as soon as they could. Overall great stay."

Walk to the glacier on the bike path or along nearby trails that run behind the house. Other occupants in the house include long-term residents so all of your supplies and amenities are in your room. You will have a bathroom and kitchen caddy, with your shampoo, soap, cleaning supplies, towels, etc… in it, so you'll be set with all you need.

Aunt Margaret, lived in this house for over 30 years, and always had a room for someone who needed one. Kelli has continued to keep this house available for affordable housing for long-term residents and Alaska visitors. Your private, rented room will be clean and ready for you. The condition of the house is that of reasonable living with roommates. You'll have your own shelf in the refrigerator and are welcome to use any of the supplies/equipment in the kitchen and enjoy use of all common areas. The common areas of the house are cleaned twice per month, but not necessarily immediately prior to your stay.
