We are about 10 minutes' drive from downtown and the cruise ship docks, 20 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from the Ferry Terminal and the Mendenhall Glacier. We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review. Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows:

Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lockbox code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4 pm. We offer early check-in options, if it's available a couple of days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time.

Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. She'll respond to website messages as soon as she can.

Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean.

Great Auke Bay/Back Loop Location – It's steps from the city bus stop and three miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier. You can take the bus, which stops one mile away from the glacier. You can also rent a bike, available at the property, and get to the glacier and Auke Bay on trails, bike paths, and short sections of road with shoulder/bike lanes. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown and don't want to take a 45-minute bus ride to go 16 miles, then this space is not for you.

Accurate Description of the Space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay.

Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have an additional person. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods.

Precision Lodge is just 2.5 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 4.5 miles from the airport, 4.5 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, less than a mile from the University of Alaska, and 12.5 miles from Downtown Juneau. Deharts convenience store, Fisherman's Bend dock and gas station, post office, university, school, and churches are all approximately one mile away.

Spend the day hiking Juneau’s most famous trails, minutes from the property. End your evening with a glass of wine by the fire of a classic wood burning stove. This old fashioned cabin is equipped with an ocean view outhouse, a warm outdoor shower (April-Oct), a cold kitchen sink, electricity, & WiFi.

Stunning Alaskan Cabin with Wood Fired Sauna
Cabin
Juneau

Ever want to run away to an Alaskan cabin in the woods? Tired of beige, boring stays? Tucked away in the wilderness, our modern cabin offers eclectic art, two cozy beds, gorgeous vintage furniture, and a sauna on-site. Need a place to WFH? 300mbps WiFi. Rather switch off? Outside, nature beckons with trails to a beach where whales and sea lions play, only minutes away.

Our custom-built home is the artistic bungalow of your dreams. Let us be your home-away-from-home.

Juneau STR: CBJ1000208

The space
We're pretty sure our home is the coziest space in Alaska. Maybe anywhere. We just built this cabin in June 2025 after years of designing our dream space and bringing together some of our favorite artistic flourishes from the different countries where we have lived. Special touches, including locally sourced spruce and cedar finishes, beautiful floors, and Afghan carpets make our home a hygge-lover's paradise.

Use our place as a crash pad with easy access to some of the best and most varied trails in Alaska -- minutes from the Cohen beach, Amalga and Auke Bay harbors, the Herbert and Eagle glacier trailheads, and the spectacular Eagle beach. This is your Alaskan dream. Ask us about our favorite spots, we want to make sure you love this place as much as we do... we have lived all over the world and Alaska is our favorite spot!

Or, just turn up the thermostat, lounge in our cozy couch, enjoy some psychedelic displays from our electric fireplace, and make yourself a cuppa coffee while watching the wilds outside.

Cook some locally sourced seafood or foraged goods in our well-stocked kitchen with our induction range. Step out into our luscious garden and experience tree therapy...for free.

Climb upstairs to sleep in the comfy queen in the lofted upstairs bedroom (accessible via a steep ladder) or pull out the full futon to make a cozy bedroom downstairs. The bathroom is downstairs and is designed with custom tiles and locally-sourced wood.

Explore the outdoors with stunning access to hiking and biking trails right from the house and many more only a short drive away. Nature abounds. Kayak, hike, boat, climb, and explore the best that Alaska has to offer.

Guest access
There is parking for 1 vehicle at the house (and an additional spot off the street) and easy access to trails nearby. Plan on renting a car if you do not have one - taxis get very expensive quickly here!

Other things to note
The space is professionally cleaned after each guest, hence the cleaning fee, which is paid directly to the cleaners.

We love critters but are unfortunately unable to accommodate people traveling with dogs or cats at this time. We have a very loving Kurdish shepherd dog. While she has yet to meet a human she doesn't like, she does not get along with other animals, sadly.
