- "Came up in July of 2024. Weather was overcast and sprinkled rain temperature around 55. Seward is a very short drive away. The view out front of the lodge was spectacular. Exit Glacier is a short 8 mile drive from the lodge. The owner met us at the front desk everyday and knew both of our names. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. He gave us a coupon for the neighboring restaurant. Which we went to on our last night there and it was fantastic. Our room was well kept. No cobwebs in the corners or anything like most other places. Smelled great and the bed were super comfortable. Shower water was hot and plentiful. When my wife and i come to Alaska again we will absolutely stay at Exit Glacier Lodge again and you should too. "

Built by Stefan Nilsson, this little “doll house” was completed in July of 2005. Inspired by Stefan's Swedish heritage, this adorable cabin has typical Swedish siding stained forest green, with natural spruce trim.
The cabin is in a quiet wooded setting, located 5-10 minutes away from Seward's activities; yet our guests can still stay connected to the rest of the world with free wireless internet service!
The inside comfortably sleeps 4 guests, having a queen-sized bed in a cozy alcove, two twin beds up in the sleeping loft, and a sitting area to relax in. A full bathroom is located near the back entrance.
The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster. Next to the kitchen, a custom-built breakfast nook affords spectacular views of Mt. Eva and her hanging glacier. Rich wood details, from the tongue and groove ceiling to the colorful stained beams, adorn the inside of the cabin.
The finish carpentry, as well as the unique colors on the walls, beams, and interior door make this cabin a work of art.
Keywords: A custom built cabin, with Scandinavian details. Cozily tucked in amongst the towering Sitka Spruce trees with spectacular views of Mt. Eva.

About Granite Point
Granite Point is a remote haven located on Resurrection Bay, just 12 miles from Seward, Alaska. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, the property features four private cabins and one larger lodge, all perched on a dramatic cliffside. This unique location offers unparalleled views of Resurrection Bay and the surrounding mountains.
For adventurers, Granite Point is a dream come true. Enjoy direct access to our private beach, hiking trails, and complimentary use of paddleboards and kayaks. Steps from your door, find world-class paddling—explore alongside humpback whales, sea lions, and porpoises while birdwatching, fishing, or simply soaking in the magic of the fjords.
Please note, this is a remote setting. To reach your cabin, guests will ascend four steep staircases and traverse a short 30-yard trail. As such, travelers should be self-reliant, in good physical condition, and prepared for a bit of adventure. We recommend backpack-style packing, as suitcases can be difficult to manage on the stairs. Be sure to bring gear suited to your activities, including sturdy hiking boots, full rain gear, and warm synthetic layers. Additionally, guests should plan to bring their own food and ice for coolers. Bathrooms provided are outhouses or composting toilets
Please note, the Wolf Ridge Cabin is reached by another trail climbing through the rainforest another 500 feet above the bay, so please keep this in mind for packing and access.
About Wolf Ridge Cabin at Granite Point
Perched high above Granite Point in the lush rainforest of Resurrection Bay, this private, cozy cabin offers the ultimate Alaskan adventure getaway. Handcrafted with care, the custom cabin features a spacious deck with ample seating, perfect for soaking in the stunning views of the forest, ocean, and surrounding mountains. Inside, a well-equipped kitchenette awaits, ready for you to prepare delicious meals, while comfortable queen and double beds upstairs promise restful nights after a day of exploration. Downstairs, you`ll find a luxurious Italian leather couch, recessed dimmable LED lighting throughout, and a gravity-fed water catchment system powering the sink faucet. Filtered drinking water is provided. Electricity is provided by a generator.
Reaching the cabin requires an exhilarating 20+ minute hike through the forest along a beautiful mountain trail. We recommend wearing hiking boots and packing your essentials in backpacks. This cabin experience is for adventurers who embrace a trek through the woods and seek a secluded Alaskan retreat. Once you reach the cabin, you’ll be rewarded with a modern, elegant space and jaw-dropping views that are rare to find in the deep wilderness.

- "This property is all that it is advertised to be and more! The trek up the hill is a challenge, but fun at the same time. The weather wasn't particularly cooperative, but we were quite happy just hanging out at this lovely cabin with an extraordinary view." - "I loved staying at Jeff's Wolf Ridge Cabin. Being there at one with the Alaska Wilderness was among the most memorable adventures of my lifetime. Jeff's Wolf Ridge Cabin provides the Alaska Wilderness experience. Levi was waiting at the beach when I arrived, he was very helpful in helping me navigate the trail up to Jeff's Cabin. And when it was time for me to check out, he was very helpful at helping me navigate back down the trail. The trail has a rope to help you pull yourself up the hill and back down and you will need to hold on to this rope. I would give the trail a rating of strenuous (e.g. not easy and not moderate - but strenuous). Be prepared: 1) Again, this is a Basic Cabin in the Alaska Wilderness; but it also provides a $1,000,000 view; and you will have to work for it. 2) I traversed the hill on a couple of separate occasions while I was there, by myself. It took me about 45 minutes to ascend and about 30 minutes to descend. 3) I knew beforehand that all of my belongings - and food - for several days - would all need to fit into a single 80L backpack. I brought one 80L backpack (for up to 5 days stay) and hiking poles. For food, I brought 5 days worth of the 'Backpackers Pantry' meals. 4) Go light on dirtying up the dishes. I boiled rainwater to wash the dishes. Boiling water consumes resources. So go easy on burning through the propane. 5) I boiled water for all of my french press coffee and I boiled water for all of my 'Backpackers Pantry' meals. In 4 days I only used 1 propane canister. 6) Bring the battery bricks for charging your smartphone. I brought 2 of them and I never had to conserve the battery on my smartphone, although I did keep it in airplane mode (just to maximize battery conservation). 7) They have a cell phone boost antenna at the cabin if you need to make a call with your cell phone. You will need to run the generator to generate electricity in order to do this. 8) Go easy on running the generator and don't burn through all of the gas. In my 4 days, I never ran the generator out of gas. The generator was easy to start, like pull starting a lawnmower. It usually starts on the 1st or second pull. 9) With the cell boost, I was able to call my family (my wife, and my mother) every day to let them know how my adventure was going. 10) Again, you will want to be able to bring all of your belongings in one trip up the hill, in one 80l backpack - per person. - "The cabin was AMAZING. The location is a short drive outside of downtown. It is tucked into an adorable wooded area that makes you feel like you're "roughing " it. The cabin itself was in perfect condition. The place was spotless, dishes were clean and chip free, coffee maker was clean and grime free, and bathroom was spotless as well. There is also a little cleaning closet there in the cabin with everything you would need to keep it clean during your stay (I have two young boys and they can make a mess in record time). Meegan was beyond helpful, and even brought over fresh eggs. Which honestly was the highlight of my husbands stay. He loves eggs lol We had to leave early due to bad weather, but while there it was amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked and had coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and powdered creamer ready to go. They even had a great selection of teas, and! A tea kettle! I am not sure if you can tell, but it was a great experience and if we had a chance to take a vaction again before we move out of Homer we would stay here in a heart beat. Would highly recommend."

About this space
Coffey Grounds Cabin is a beautiful cabin in the woods with modern, fresh interior. It’s located just outside of Seward city limits near Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park.
This cabin is very new, it was built between 2023-2024. Featured in the photos are milestones and some of the friends and family who made this vision a reality.
The space
The Coffey Grounds Cabin is on a 2 acre property lovingly referred to by friends, family, and locals as the Coffey Grounds.
While the Coffey Grounds don’t actually grow coffee, they do boast huge gorgeous pines, a stream that salmon run up during the summer, a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, and so much more. Moose frequent the property to feed on the abundant alders and, on occasion, bears can be spotted searching for salmon at the stream.
The Coffey Grounds property sits near the entrance to Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park. The Park is a great place to spend time getting acquainted with glaciers and the Alaskan wilderness. Also nearby, Resurrection River offers serene riverside hiking and wildlife viewing, just a 10 minute walk away.
The Coffey Grounds Cabin, surrounded by all this glorious Alaskan wilderness, has been our labor of love for the past year. The completion in early Spring will be a momentous occasion. Our family, friends and community, have put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to help us build this home from the ground up. It truly “takes a village” to build a home.
This is our own little slice of Alaskan paradise and we can’t wait to share it with you.
- "Excellent location. Private, quiet and close to town. The cabin is beautiful with impressive amenities. The host was quick to reply to my questions. " - "Kudos to hosts, John and Kayleigh, for the beautiful Coffey Grounds cabin rental. Very accommodating! This was our first trip to Alaska and this stay added a positive to our entire trip! Would highly recommend to future visitors!!" - "The cabin is beautiful with great amenities and perfectly situated just outside Seward and Exit Glacier. Woodland Cabin sits on a large, private lot surrounded by trees, just a short drive from town bordering on state land. It's in a neighborhood of primarily single family homes on large lots (one acre or more). I love the area for the privacy, beauty and late afternoon sun.
You will need to have a car if you are staying at Woodland Retreat. There is also a bike path that runs along the highway from town to just before the turnoff to Woodland Retreat and makes for a nice ride. Taxis are also available, but no other public transportation runs outside of town at this time.
We do encourage guests to refrain from cooking fish inside the unit. We do not allow processing of fish on property.
As a free resource, my husband Clay, a local boat captain, and I are here to answer questions or help you book the perfect excursion to explore Seward and the surrounding Kenai Fjords National Park. We offer discounts on many tours to our guests.
We do encourage guests to refrain from cooking fish inside the unit; however, public grills for cooking of your catch are available near the waterfront in town. We do not allow processing of fish on property.
- "Very nice and clean. Great for a couple. Short drive to Seward."

- "I stayed for 2 nights in the Blush cabin, and there is no better feeling than falling asleep listening to the waves wash onshore only 10 ft away - except maybe waking up to stunning oceanfront views in the morning! Lowell Point is only a short 10 mins drive into Seward, but feels much more secluded and private. Great area to stay in, lots of hiking options, much less touristy than Seward. The cabin has a small kitchenette so isn’t really suited for cooking, but Miller‘s Landing Cafe in easy walking distance has you well covered on food & drinks. The cabin’s bathroom deserves a modernization/renovation, but I understand this is already planned for 2024. I enjoyed my stay and would love to return in the future."

- "The Fisherman’s Cabin was clean and comfy. Had all the listed amenities. Easy to find yet seemingly secluded. It was a little early in the season (and chilly) but they also have an outdoor common area where you can bbq - can guess this would be a great area when it warms up a bit. Correspondence with the host was easy. We would stay again!" - "Could not have been better. Quiet and peaceful yet close to both exit glacier and Seward. Love this cabin!"
