Relax with all the comforts of home in our beautiful and cozy log cabin. The Crystal Mountain Cabin comfortably accommodates 6 guests (or up to eight with the twin beds, for a small additional fee). This lovely cabin is a great place to get away for couples, families and friends. The large open floor plan has a great room feel downstairs with one bedroom and full bathroom. The 3/4 loft has 2 queen sized beds and is separated by a large ceiling height partition. There is a small bathroom in the loft.

The living room is a great place to spend time, with the gas fireplace that is very inviting. Our modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook at home. The large bathroom downstairs has its own washer and dryer.

Girdwood is home to world class downhill and cross country skiing! It is only a short, two minute walk to the lifts of Mt. Alyeska and a quicker ski home to your cabin. Moose Meadows is directly down the street and it is your access point to the extensive nordic ski trails.

Alyeska Cabin is a one room cabin that has a loft with both a king & full sized bed. The living room also has a queen sized sleeper sofa for additional guests. Enjoy the wood burning stove after a day of adventure if you like, however gas is the main heat source in the cabin.

Beautiful mountain views from all guest rooms. Alyeska Adventures is the perfect venue to catch up on some R&R after a long and exciting day in the Last Frontier, or the property can be rented as a meeting or event space.

All together the building has 5 bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, a huge deck (700sqft)and a lawn, etc.!!! Imagine the possibilities!!

- "We enjoyed the abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 9 of us. It's conveniently located near one of the helicopter tour companies and the dogsled tour as well. There were a few appliances not working but there were extras of them. A quick note, the photo that has a bathtub is old; it has been switched to a shower. Communication and check in was great!" - "Our daughter got married in Girdwood. We rented this beautiful house for out of town family and friends to stay for the weekend. We had 11 overnight guests and hosted a dinner for about 40 people and there was plenty of room for everybody on the huge deck to enjoy. The kitchen was very well stocked. - "Perfect size for 4 adults and they even had a pack n play for the little!" - "This was a wonderful stay! I intend to return soon!" - "We rented for a few days after my sister’s wedding so that family & friends could have some calm hang out time together. We loved the sound of the rain on the roof from the loft and looking out the living room windows at the trees/greenery. The beds were very comfortable; however, the red sofa in the living room is VERY uncomfortable to sit on (we never tried it as a fold out bed). The living room floor slopes a lot and took awhile to get used to. It was nice to have a Keureg machine for coffee, but would have helped to have a few pods at check in (seems pretty standard now to give at least a few—especially since there are so many different machines out there and we’d have been likely to bring the wrong ones). Also we never could find the TV remote. We only watched one movie, but were stuck with French subtitles. (Fine unless you have someone hearing impaired who is hoping for English subtitles to read along and no means to change the settings) Recommend also putting a rubbish bin in the ensuite bathroom. But all in all was an Alaskan, rustic and cozy cabin getaway. Thank you!!"

Glacier Cabin was renovated and opened in 2017. Keeping with the charm of a one room cabin we have a queen bed on the main floor along with a sitting area. The loft also has a queen bed. To access the loft you must climb a ladder so it is ideal for a family with kids or the nimble!

Don't worry about cold floors in the morning - both bathrooms and the entryway are warmed by electrical floor heat. After a full day of shredding fresh powder up north or hiking nearby, there will be no better way to settle down and soothe tired muscles than a session in the classic cedar barrel sauna (powered by wood) right outside the front door! If you are wanting to take a day trip into downtown Anchorage, you are only 39 miles away making for an easy commute into the vibrant city. Beluga whales can be seen chasing the silver salmon in the glacial waters of Turnagain Arm. This home is located also on the only road that heads south out of Anchorage, so guests will be easily connected to other towns in the region.

Open floor plan studio in Girdwood. Small but open, vaulted ceilings give it a much larger feeling. It’s ideal for a single couples romantic weekend getaway. Will accommodate a small family of four, also compatible for two couples or any mixture of people that are close.

It’s located on a small loop road at the base of Max’s Mountain. Surrounded by the giant Hemlock trees that are local to this part of the Chugach Forrest. It is a very quiet location and provides a fantastic nights sleep. Having your own transportation is recommended, 4-wheel is necessary on a snowy winter day.

Lots of great dining in the area, or the kitchen is ready to prep a gourmet meal. Many great hikes in the area. Virgin Creek trail head is super close. Mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding are popular summer activities. Alpine and Nordic skiing, fat tire biking in the winter.

You will love this quiet cabin surrounded by mature hemlock and spruce trees. It’s a great base to explore all that this part of Alaska has to offer. Only 1/2 mile to Alyeska ski resort. Tons of hiking and biking nearby. A short drive will take you to Anchorage, Turnagain Arm, Whittier, or Portage Glacier. Seward is close enough for a day trip for a fishing charter, a wildlife cruise, or a hike at Exit Glacier. After each day’s adventures, come home to this warm and inviting space. Hop into the steam shower to help you unwind, or pour a glass of wine to enjoy in the sunroom. On warmer days, open all the windows and from any room you can enjoy the pleasant babbling from the small creek that runs through the property. Our young boys have spent hours playing in the creek during the summer months – your kids or grandkids will too. On colder days, the furnace will keep the cabin warm, but nothing compares to the all embracing warmth of a wood stove.

Upstairs in the open loft you'll find a queen size bed, large flatscreen smart TV, as well as two chairs that can be converted into beds perfect for little ones. 1150 square foot cabin with a generous arctic entry for your gear, a small deck in the front, and a spacious cedar deck at the back of the cabin.

The main bedroom has queen bed with en-suite bathroom (with bathtub/shower combo). Surrounded in windows, you feel like you are sleeping in the trees.

The 2nd sleeping area is the loft and has a queen bed. The loft is separated from the area below by privacy drapes. Be advised that the ceilings in the loft are only 6’6” high. Please also note that the stairs to the loft are unconventional and can be difficult if not very agile.

The 2nd bathroom is next to the family room and has a shower and washer/dryer, which you are welcome to use at no additional cost.

We love animals, but unfortunately we do not allow pets in the cabin. Please message me directly if you have a service animal.

The space
Girdwood Getaway is a 1300 square foot cabin located just steps away from the base of the ski hill in Girdwood Alaska.
The home features two private bedrooms; one just off the entryway on the first floor with access to a large bathroom featuring a jetted tub and heated floor.
Upstairs in the main living are is an open kitchen with all the amenities one needs for cooking. A dining area that seats 4 in addition to 4 more at the bar and a comfortable seating area in the living room with flat screen tv.
On the third floor is an open loft area that has 1 queen bed and a couch as well as the second private bedroom. This level also has a bathroom with step-in shower.

Guest access
The Girdwood Getaway has been our family getaway for 30+ years. We still enjoy visiting Girdwood mostly during the winter months. Guests will find a they have access to the entire cabin except one closet in the entryway which is locked. There is a washer/dryer onsite as well as a fully stocked kitchen and pantry.

Other things to note
There are 3 queen size beds, 2 located in small private bedrooms and 1 in the open loft area with a sofa outside the primary bedroom.

There are two bathrooms, the upstairs bath offers a tiled shower and the downstairs bathroom offers a whirlpool bathtub with shower and cedar surround.

In the winter, you’ll have easy access to Alyeska ski resort, and the warm months offer hiking and biking trails, state and national parks, the nearby Kenai Peninsula, fishing, wildlife spotting, and more.

Start the day out on the deck with some coffee and that spectacular view. When you get hungry, the full, well-equipped kitchen has you covered for meal prep. This stylish and newly renovated 500 square foot cabin is located just 0.2 miles from Alyeska's Daylodge! Walk to Chair 4, and at the end of the day, ski back to the cabin and curl up in front of the huge gas fireplace, or enjoy a well deserved soak in our brand new hot tub.

Upstairs in the open loft you'll find a queen size bed, large flatscreen smart TV, as well as two chairs that can be converted into beds perfect for little ones. Downstairs in the main living area you'll find a queen size cabinet Murphy bed, as well as a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is well equipped with an instant pot, toaster, small blender, microwave, and a wide array of pots and pans and utensils. We provide coffee beans and pantry staples. This space is perfect for a couple, a few friends or a small family.

Perfect for a ski getaway with friends or a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of normal life, this beautiful lodge is ready for your next adventure! With vaulted ceilings that let in plenty of natural light, rustic decor, and an open layout, entertaining larger groups and spreading out will be a breeze. Head out to the front porch or back deck each morning to breathe in that crisp air with a fresh cup of coffee. Don't worry about cold floors in the morning - both bathrooms and the entryway are warmed by electrical floor heat. After a full day of shredding fresh powder up north or hiking nearby, there will be no better way to settle down and soothe tired muscles than a session in the classic cedar barrel sauna (powered by wood) right outside the front door! Plus, the chef of the group can easily whip up a tasty meal for the whole group on all of the appliances of home in the full kitchen. Come summer, the private gas grill will come in handy for family cookouts as the sun dips behind the trees. The baker of the group will enjoy the use of cookie sheets, mixing bowls, a hand mixer, and other bakeware.

Sitting just two-and-a-half miles from Alyeska, the skiers of the group will have endless runs and fresh powder within a few minutes of the front door. Enjoy the use of the free town shuttle to get around! While in the area, be sure to take a break from the mountain and check out the charming shops, restaurants, and cafes that are scattered throughout the town. If you are wanting to take a day trip into downtown Anchorage, you are only 39 miles away making for an easy commute into the vibrant city. Beluga whales can be seen chasing the silver salmon in the glacial waters of Turnagain Arm. This home is located also on the only road that heads south out of Anchorage, so guests will be easily connected to other towns in the region.

Conveniently located between Old Girdwood and the base of the mountain, the cabin is a 2 mile distance to the base of with the paved bike trail at the front door. Tons of parking. Can fit trailers and toys.

I don’t mind events such as birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette, even weddings. We had a Harry Potter themed birthday party (see pics) and the holidays are always amazing in Girdwood. All I ask is you and your guests are respectful of the space and don’t trash it. Just please no glitter.

The space
Guests are welcome to use the entire space. The basement will remain locked, for that is where my personal belongs are and house utilities.

If snow removal is required during your stay, I may need to coordinate access to the basement for the snow removal equipment.

Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. House is on septic system and can have very expensive results of accidental disposal.

You'll enter the cabin on the first floor. The free town shuttle drop off is right across the street from our driveway (how convenient!) as well as the large bike path that runs the distance of our town.
