- "Perfect size for 4 adults and they even had a pack n play for the little!" - "This was a wonderful stay! I intend to return soon!" - "We rented for a few days after my sister’s wedding so that family & friends could have some calm hang out time together. We loved the sound of the rain on the roof from the loft and looking out the living room windows at the trees/greenery. The beds were very comfortable; however, the red sofa in the living room is VERY uncomfortable to sit on (we never tried it as a fold out bed). The living room floor slopes a lot and took awhile to get used to. It was nice to have a Keureg machine for coffee, but would have helped to have a few pods at check in (seems pretty standard now to give at least a few—especially since there are so many different machines out there and we’d have been likely to bring the wrong ones). Also we never could find the TV remote. We only watched one movie, but were stuck with French subtitles. (Fine unless you have someone hearing impaired who is hoping for English subtitles to read along and no means to change the settings) Recommend also putting a rubbish bin in the ensuite bathroom. But all in all was an Alaskan, rustic and cozy cabin getaway. Thank you!!"

Glacier Cabin was renovated and opened in 2017. Keeping with the charm of a one room cabin we have a queen bed on the main floor along with a sitting area. The loft also has a queen bed. To access the loft you must climb a ladder so it is ideal for a family with kids or the nimble!
To add to the charm of days-gone-by the bathroom features a claw-foot bathtub and picture window with views of the forest behind the cabin,ideal soaking after a long hike or ski.
When you arrive you’ll find one of my homemade blueberry breakfast cakes on the dining table and a binder chaulk full of activities to do in the area, hikes with descriptions and distance, and all our favorite restaurants with full menus provided. Not to mention the plethora of discounts available through staying at Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins. To add to that cozy charm we have added personal touches from our own Alaska adventures in the cabin with family photos of fishing, skiing, and hiking.

It’s located on a small loop road at the base of Max’s Mountain. Surrounded by the giant Hemlock trees that are local to this part of the Chugach Forrest. It is a very quiet location and provides a fantastic nights sleep. Having your own transportation is recommended, 4-wheel is necessary on a snowy winter day.

Lots of great dining in the area, or the kitchen is ready to prep a gourmet meal. Many great hikes in the area. Virgin Creek trail head is super close. Mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding are popular summer activities. Alpine and Nordic skiing, fat tire biking in the winter.

- "The pond and creek were nice. No internet in the cabin or television. No coffee in the rooms because they wanted you to go to their coffee shop to purchase theirs. We’ve stayed in 6 cabins and have always been provided coffee. We booked the only cabin that was plumbed and never could get the water Hot enough to take a shower. It was rainy and cold lit a fire with the lumber provided (not firewood) smoked and the wood burning stove leaked the seal was out as well as the glass. Cabin needs leveled the refrigerator doors would sling open there was black mold underneath the kitchen sink. We both ended up sick. I would not stay here again it was not worth the price I would’ve rather stayed at a Motel 6"

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. This rustic cabin is tucked into the woods and nearly hidden amongst the spruce trees off Resurrection road. Cozy and comfy with all your basic needs met.
A very short walk to the airstrip and a lovely stroll through the forest to downtown Hope takes about 30 minutes.
Unwind by the fire pit as you watch for moose or bear wandering by.
Shower house and laundromat a block away on Hub street, just left before you get to the cabin, a 5 min walk.

The space
This is a ONE room cabin WITHOUT running water or electricity. There is an outhouse right behind the cabin. There is a propane stove/oven. A 5 gallon water jug will be filled with fresh potable water just prior to your arrival. Battery operated lanterns within the cabin. This is a rustic and peaceful setting that allows the guest to unplug and unwind.

Tucked in the woods, off the main road, Discovery Cabins is the perfect Alaskan getaway. With your own deck right on the creek deeply nestled in the woods, and a shared lodge with all the necessities, we're convinced you will love this place as much as we do.

The space
Discovery Cabins are located off the main road but within a mile of historic downtown Hope. When you arrive you will first see the main lodge that has two bathrooms, a washer/dryer, a full kitchen, and a large sunny deck, all shared spaces. Behind the main lodge are 5 small 12x14 log cabins with electric, heat, and small private deck overlooking Bear Creek. The 5 cabins are small, rustic, and similar in design. They do not have their own bathrooms but instead share two bathrooms in the main lodge located behind your cabin.

Guest access
The lodge and grounds are open to all guests at Discovery Cabins. There is a fire ring in the yard and a Solo Stove in the gazebo, they are open to all guests. Feel free to wander around but please be courteous of others privacy in their own individual cabins.

During your stay
We do not live on property but are located just up the road. We are in and out cleaning cabins and checking on things in general but feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We have an extensive knowledge of the area and its trails and we love to talk about Hope.

Main Office and Reservation Check In is across the street from the cabin. There is NO WI-FI and Internet service is not very reliable in this community. Keep in mind our community is 90 miles from: Banks, Groc. Stores and other city services, so bring what you will need.

Cozy cabin located in beautiful Hope, Alaska.

The space
Nestled in a residential street in Hope, we are far enough out of the way for peace but close enough to be apart of the local community! Hope is a small historic mining town that has evolved into an outdoor recreation wonderland. With multiple guided and non guided activities in the area, it's a perfect base to explore Alaska's famous Kenai Peninsula. Town is about a 3 minute drive. There are restaurants, cafes, to-go food and coffee shops in town but I recommend bringing food/snacks with you just to make sure.

The cabin/guest area is located on the front part of our property. We share a driveway with guests. Our house is at the back of the property which is off limits to guests.

Other things to note
Wifi and cell service can be spotty in Hope - part of living in Alaska! There is a converted Bus next to the cabin that is also rented out which has separate parking and a small fence to separate. We have a big, friendly white dog who is on the property and always up for belly scratches and ear rubs! He is a very old deaf dog and we have young children so please drive slowly and check around you before backing up. If you plan on cooking/eating in please bring your own food as there are no grocery stores in Hope. Pet Fee: $25 per dog, maximum 2 dogs. Please notify us about your dog/s as we have a very old dog. There is an extra charge for campers parked on our property with extra people staying in it of $50 per camper.

At the Toasted Marshmallow Cabin, you can truly get away from it all. Take time to curl up with a book, toast some marshmallows, enjoy the bathroom heated floors, and nestle up in this cozy cabin.

The space
The Toasted Marshmallow is a private cabin located on a 6.5 acre family property, in heart of Hope, Alaska. You are within walking distance to restaurants but once you arrive at the cabin, you will feel like you have your own wooded and secluded paradise with nothing in sight but nature. Popular attractions and top restaurants include The Dirty Skillet Cafe & Bear Creek Lodge, Creekbend Cafe, Turnagain Kayak Coffeehouse, Grounds of Hope Coffee shop, and two different gift shops! We also have a community run historic museum that shares the deep and enriched history of this gorgeous town.

The owners live at the main house with their toddler and Australian Shepherd. The cabin faces away towards the woods and feels very private. You also have your own fire pit area. Please provide your own wood. We will be around if needed, but would love to give you privacy on your trip! There is a private entrance and fire-pit area for guests, as well as a large area for parking.

This is a studio cabin with a queen bed, small kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave and sink, dining table, and large heated-floor bathroom. You should have everything you need for a beautiful and relaxing weekend in Hope, Alaska!

Other things to note
Check-out is at 11 AM. We will charge an extra $25
per hour past the checkout time. We charge a $50 pet fee and must be told about pets prior to arrival. If you leave the cabin, you must bring your pets with you or leave them in the car. Failure to do so will result in a $150 additional cleaning fee.

There is no smoking allowed in the cabin. If you have more than two guests, it is an extra $25 per person.
If you lose your key to the cabin upon departure, you will be charged $125.

If you have unidentified guests that you did not include on your Airbnb checkin, you will be charged $100 plus the original $25 extra guest fee. This is a safety issue. If you have an identified guest and they have an extra vehicle, you will be charged $100 in addition.

We have children and that is why we have the highest security checks on our property. Extra guests, cars, and pets threaten our security and increase our cleaning and amenities cost.

Please respect our rules as this is our residence and we have children. We love dogs and guests but it is our home and need to be aware of pets and extra guests.

The beautiful community of Hope is a two hour drive from Anchorage. Hope HUB offers summer and winter trails for hiking, biking and skiing.

The space
Welcome to the space 🌍

Hope H.U.B. has everything you need for a cabin adventure. This cabin sleeps 6 people, and your dogs are welcome to stay (off the furniture).

The kitchen has everything you need to cook (and clean). There are many types of coffee makers and a grinder for your caffeine intake —-> planet java to the rescue. ☕️ French press, coffee maker, k cup at your service.

Trails galore right outside your door. Bring your cross country skis. Bikes. AT ski set up. Hiking boots. The property has views of mountains on both sides, a front porch to enjoy the view and a fire pit with picnic table and outdoor chairs. Send smoke signals and make s’mores. Borrow the guitar to play some tunes, funk not included.

The neighborhood can easily be walked, downtown is about 1 mile away. There is plenty of parking in the driveway.

You are invited to stay in your very own Cottage on the pond at Bear Creek Lodge. This full home is one of 8 cabins at Bear Creek Lodge. The Cottage has a private bedroom, living room with its own heater and wood burning stove, full kitchen, and full bathroom. You are steps from Bear Creek, and your private deck is a great place to take in all the Bear Creek Lodge has to offer. Located 1/4 mile from downtown Hope, your Cottage is walking distance to town but outside the busy-ness and noise.

The space
The Cottage is one of eight of our cabins working the Bear Creek Lodge family. It has an oversized porch which is the perfect way to take in your Alaskan surroundings. Bear Creek runs through the lodge property which fills the Bear Creek Pond attracting all sorts of wildlife. Take the meandering path across the bridge and discover the entire property at Bear Creek Lodge. Stop into the lodge’s restaurant right next door, Dirty Skillet, where you will experience an authentic mining camp meal with hearty, heaping and home-style cooking.

Guest access
You will have full access to the Bear Creek Pond with its peddle boat and canoe. Visit Bear Creek Lodge’s restaurant for a memorable Alaskan visit as you experience an authentic mining camp meal. You may also want to try the little cabin sauna which turns on with the flick of a switch. Walk the entire property, and be sure to bring your camera! The entire property is extremely photogenic.

WiFi is available in the lodge’s restaurant right next door.

Once you book, we will text you with a confirmation. Within 2 days of arrival, you will receive another text with information on how to expedite your check-in process. The link texted will include information on the latest WiFi password, shower code access, hours of the lodge and restaurant, how to get extra towels, and information on check-in.

The space
The cabin offers more privacy and space than our guest rooms with amenities including wifi, full size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, coffee pot and TV. Both Cabins have a front porch and access to a BBQ and picnic table in the summer months. The cabins are conveniently located behind Coldwater Market, just up the road from our restaurant, Creekbend Cafe - open year round. Please note, while we offer WiFi and satellite television these services can be unreliable at times, due to the lack of services available in Hope. If these are absolutely required for your stay, please call the lodge for more information.

Other things to note
Important Notes to Plan for:

1. There is no cellular reception on most of the Hope Highway, so you will may be able to search for directions or make calls for the last 30 minutes of the drive into town.

2. There is no gas in Hope! The closest gas stations are in located 50 miles away in Girdwood (north) and Cooper Landing (south).

3. We provide WiFi in the guest rooms and cabins, but because of our remote location and summer traffic, the internet can slow down significantly.
