This lovely cabin is a great place to get away for couples, families and friends. The large open floor plan has a great room feel downstairs with one bedroom and full bathroom. The 3/4 loft has 2 queen sized beds and is separated by a large ceiling height partition. There is a small bathroom in the loft.

The living room is a great place to spend time, with the gas fireplace that is very inviting. Our modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook at home. The large bathroom downstairs has its own washer and dryer.

Girdwood is home to world class downhill and cross country skiing! It is only a short, two minute walk to the lifts of Mt. Alyeska and a quicker ski home to your cabin. Moose Meadows is directly down the street and it is your access point to the extensive nordic ski trails.

Beautiful mountain views from all guest rooms. Alyeska Adventures is the perfect venue to catch up on some R&R after a long and exciting day in the Last Frontier, or the property can be rented as a meeting or event space.

All together the building has 5 bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, a huge deck (700sqft)and a lawn, etc.!!! Imagine the possibilities!!

There were a few appliances not working but there were extras of them. A quick note, the photo that has a bathtub is old; it has been switched to a shower. - "Perfect size for 4 adults and they even had a pack n play for the little!" - "This was a wonderful stay! I intend to return soon!" - "We rented for a few days after my sister’s wedding so that family & friends could have some calm hang out time together. We loved the sound of the rain on the roof from the loft and looking out the living room windows at the trees/greenery. The beds were very comfortable; however, the red sofa in the living room is VERY uncomfortable to sit on (we never tried it as a fold out bed). The living room floor slopes a lot and took awhile to get used to. It was nice to have a Keureg machine for coffee, but would have helped to have a few pods at check in (seems pretty standard now to give at least a few—especially since there are so many different machines out there and we’d have been likely to bring the wrong ones). Also we never could find the TV remote. We only watched one movie, but were stuck with French subtitles. (Fine unless you have someone hearing impaired who is hoping for English subtitles to read along and no means to change the settings) Recommend also putting a rubbish bin in the ensuite bathroom. But all in all was an Alaskan, rustic and cozy cabin getaway. Thank you!!"

It’s located on a small loop road at the base of Max’s Mountain. Surrounded by the giant Hemlock trees that are local to this part of the Chugach Forrest. It is a very quiet location and provides a fantastic nights sleep. Having your own transportation is recommended, 4-wheel is necessary on a snowy winter day.

Lots of great dining in the area, or the kitchen is ready to prep a gourmet meal. Many great hikes in the area. Virgin Creek trail head is super close. Mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding are popular summer activities. Alpine and Nordic skiing, fat tire biking in the winter.

- "I loved this place and will come again. My complaint is silly, it was too fragrant. I could have done without the smell of cleaning products that I could taste in the air. We are from Homer, so blame it on the hippie vibes. We wish that there was better ventilation as well ; we couldn’t get the ceiling fan to work. We will be back!" - "The cabin is located within a quiet, yet convenient spot within Girdwood. The cabin is cozy but there is ample room for guests. The shower is great with piping hot water to relax your muscles after a day playing outside."

You will love this quiet cabin surrounded by mature hemlock and spruce trees. It’s a great base to explore all that this part of Alaska has to offer. Only 1/2 mile to Alyeska ski resort. Tons of hiking and biking nearby. A short drive will take you to Anchorage, Turnagain Arm, Whittier, or Portage Glacier. Seward is close enough for a day trip for a fishing charter, a wildlife cruise, or a hike at Exit Glacier. After each day’s adventures, come home to this warm and inviting space. Hop into the steam shower to help you unwind, or pour a glass of wine to enjoy in the sunroom. On warmer days, open all the windows and from any room you can enjoy the pleasant babbling from the small creek that runs through the property. Our young boys have spent hours playing in the creek during the summer months – your kids or grandkids will too. On colder days, the furnace will keep the cabin warm, but nothing compares to the all embracing warmth of a wood stove.

We had trouble with the dish washer and the owner texted us right away and we fixed the problem. It was a very peaceful time here . Some of the family went cross country skiing. We used the wool stove which made it quite cozy. We enjoyed our stay here."
