Welcome to our lovely home in Girdwood, Alaska. We hope you get the chance to enjoy the sights and activities of our town as much as we do! Large guest room with private bathroom and kitchenette (no stove or oven). 10 minute walk to Alyeska ski area and local restaurants.
The space
We live upstairs in the main, private, part of the house above the large guest room, which has a locking accordion door. It includes a double size (smaller than a queen size), comfortable Murphy bed that converts to a large desk top. The couch converts to a double bed so we could potentially accommodate additional people. There is a three-quarter private bathroom, large closet, and dresser. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, hot water pot, and dishes (no oven or stovetop). NOTE - Breakfast is self-serve in the guest room (we provide fruit, bagels, oatmeal, snacks, juice, coffee etc.) There is no TV but we offer free wifi. There are outdoor stairs up to the main entry. Access is through a shared mud-room entry with a couple stairs down to the guest room. Ski and snowboard racks in the entry are for guest use. We have a friendly dog, Nika, who is not allowed in the guest room and we occasionally have a foster dog.
Guest access
Guests have access to the ski/snowboard racks and mud room closet, guest room, and private bathroom. Off street guest parking. Use of laundry facilities upon request (when hosts are home). Upstairs is limited to the hosts.
During your stay
We will greet our guests upon arrival to make sure they have everything they need. We enjoy meeting new people and are happy to provide local knowledge and suggestions, but also respect guests that desire privacy.

Your hosts- Chris and Lynn Kent – we have used Airbnb as guests and enjoyed the more personal experience and local knowledge of our hosts, rather than the "sterile" hotel experience. We love sharing that same experience and welcoming guests to Alaska as well as locals to our beautiful community of Girdwood. We are “older” athletes that enjoy alpine ski racing, triathlons, hiking, boating, kayaking, fishing (year-round), and other outdoor activities.

Guest access
Guests have access to a common lobby space, with tables and seating, dishware, utensils and glassware, microwave, minifridge, keurig with coffee, a water kettle, soy milk and half and half, and hot cocoa packets. There are board games and books for guests to borrow as well!
We also have seating areas in front of the inn in our garden, which overlooks Mt. Alyeska.

Queen tempurpedic with pillow top mattress is located in the main sleeping area which is semi-private. The American Leather pull out spring-less couch bed sleeps an additional person. The sofa bed is very comfortable, also queen size and is located in the main room. This configuration is best for a couple or two friends.
