Lovely little cabin nestled 16 minutes drive from downtown Whitehorse and a 10 minute drive away from the hotsprings. This cabin sits on a fully fenced family property away from the main house and has a gas stove, wood stove, fridge and electricity. Note that there is no running water so no sink, shower or flushing toilet. Blue jug water provided and private outhouse.
Enjoy hiking and cross country ski trails right out your back door. Disconnect and experience the Yukon lifestyle!

Great view of airport and mountain. Northern Lights are visible from apartment when they are dancing in the sky. There are stairs into the apartment. Property is not to be used for social gatherings with unregistered guests.

This unit is contained within a duplex. The other side is home to our long-term tenants who are quiet and respectful. While sound is generally not an issue (the units are well separated), we ask that guests are mindful of quiet hours.

Kick back and relax in this stylish, peaceful space. The unit is 15 min drive from town and is one bedroom, one bathroom suite built in 2023. The bedroom has a loft bed above the queen bed. The 3.7 acre property backs on to endless greenspace and trails. The suite contains a 400 sqft upper deck that has beautiful mountain views and is great for northern lights viewing. Deck has patio furniture and propane fireplace to use. Next to the rental suite is a log home that the property owners live in.

The space
The guesthouse is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and backs on to endless greenspace. The building was built in 2023 and is an apartment built atop a garage. The guesthouse is located on the same property as the owners. The owners are a family of four, plus an old dog "baby", that have lived on the property since 2012. The guesthouse was designed and built to minimize interaction between the owners and guests. The deck faces south to maximize sun exposure. The backyard has a grass lawn and is very private. The space is well suited for business people, families, or travelers.

Guests will have full access to enjoy our beautiful park-like property. There is a large private deck and backyard for guests to use. The property backs on to endless green space with unlimited walking, skiing and biking trails. Arrangement could be made to use the owners recreation equipment.

Other things to note
The kids ages are 7 (boy) and 5 (girl). They enjoy playing with other kids and would be happy to share their toys.

If guests are interested in any specific tours, we can chat about arranging something. For example, I can provide fly-fishing tours, mountain biking tours, or birdwatching tours.

Come enjoy our newly built guest home located on our acreage in the Golden Horn Subdivision. This home is surrounded by nature with hiking & biking trails right outside the front door. We frequently see bright northern lights and beautiful wildlife. The home was designed to be cozy yet functional to provide the ultimate relaxing destination! It is a 15 minute drive to downtown Whitehorse. A 5 minute walk will bring you to an elementary school, park and disc golf course with walking trails.

The space
When entering the property you will see our house and garage on the left, and tucked off to the immediate right past our greenhouse will be your guest house surrounded by forest. There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles or travel trailers. There is one step into the 760 sq. ft home, but single level once inside.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all brand new appliances and basic necessities (oil, spices, coffee, etc.) to make your stay comfortable. There is a smart TV where you can login to your personal streaming accounts. There is a washer and dryer with detergent provided. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. There is additional bedding located in the closet of the master bedroom. You can manually adjust the heat in each room.

When looking through each window in the house you will always have a forested view creating a cozy and warm atmosphere.

In the summer we have a large picnic table out front.

Guest access
You will have full access to the main level of the house. There is a crawl space access on the back side of the house where our water tank is stored - we ask you do not enter this space. You can fully access Duncan Drive and the walking trails along this road.

Please note public transit does not service this area. You will require a taxi or personal vehicle.
