Chickadee Cabin is a sweet little ski-in ski-out A frame about 10 minutes walk from the Prairie T-bar parking lot. Features electric range, small fridge, cold storage box, fully outfitted kitchen, small bbq, wood stove and outhouse. Double bed and two twins in the upstairs bedrooms and a trundle couch bed in the living room. Sleeps 6 in total. Beds are memory foam mattresses, cuddly toppers and flannel sheets. Large deck for afternoon sun. 2 night minimum. Sorry no pets.
The space
Comfy living room with lots of throws and pillows. Places to hang your ski gear to dry near the wood stove.
Guest access
Access from the Prairie T-bar parking lot. You can unload your stuff onto a sled (provided at the cabin) and then move your vehicle to the lower parking lot.
Other things to note
Be sure to bring drinking water, slippers and headlamp. Bring sleds for a visit to toboggan hill nearby. Theres a hotpot on the wood stove to melt snow for washing up.
Late check out (2:00) can be arranged for $30 fee.
Be sure to check the Hudson Bay Mountain hours of operation prior to booking.

Situated on Hudson Bay Mountain in Smithers, BC, this charming cabin has ski-in/ski-out access; as one of the only cabins to offer one-night rentals, this is an ideal choice for a quick getaway or holiday with family or friends. Being the sole cabin on the lower side of the road, it offers a convenient location next to the upper parking lot (P2), allowing you to enjoy the privacy you desire without the inconvenience of lugging your equipment and gear up the mountain.
The space
Cabin has no running water, although water is provided. Outhouse only. Full electricity in the cabin. Upstairs loft hosts 3 twin mattresses and 1
double mattress. Futon couch on main floor. Central woodstove and back-up electric heat.

Guest access
Winter guests must park in either Parking Lot 1 or 2 and walk-in. There is a pullable skimmer on the porch to assist in unloading your gear.
Summer guests are welcome to use the driveway and park at the cabin.

Upon a booking reservation, a fillable Rental Agreement will be passed along with the Rules and Reminders. Once completed and paid in full, you will receive your personalized door access code, programmed for the duration of your stay.
