This log cabin is on the edge of Lake Kathlyn in the beautiful Bulkley Valley near Smithers; the town of four seasons. Smithers offers all amenities and outdoor winter and summer sports.
Our three bedroom cabin offers two Queen rooms and a small room with two single beds. The house accommodates up to 6 people. There is also a heated room outside the kitchen for use as a drying room in the winter. All windows are double glazed. Lake Kathlyn freezes in the winter for all forms of XC skiing and skating and in the summer months has abundant wildlife hummingbirds, Canada geese and loons. The cabin is 4km from Smithers and 1km from the airport. The lake is a sanctuary and no motorised boats are permitted. The downhill skiing and XC ski club are open for five months of the year. Highlights in the valley include the steelhead fishing season, hunting and hiking.

We are situated on 1.5 miles of private Bulkley River frontage and world class fishing. It is 5 minute walk to the river. This is a quiet rural setting 10 minutes to Smithers. The neighbourhood is quiet with beautiful views and great walking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities. The suite is comfy and clean. The suite is over the shop and has a private entrance. Comfy beds and warm

All windows in the place provide amazing views of the mountains and the river.

Guest access
Travellers get access to the whole suite and parking. Laundry is accessible from the suite upon request.
Travellers also have access to 1.5 miles of the private Bulkley River. A 5 minute walk from the suite.
Winter months weather providing we also have groomed cross country ski trails and an outdoor skating rink.

Other things to note
The suite has a few stairs to get up to it and is not suitable for anyone

Main street is only a few minutes walk away. You can ski at the Hudson bay mountain which is near by. It is also less than 5 minutes walk to the Bulkley valley hospital if you are a medical professional. Short and long term rentals are available.

Apartment is close proximity to restaurants and in the heart of Smithers just off main street. It is located above a brewery/coffee shop. A few nights a week there is live music below, this can be heard in the unit.

The home is situated on 6 acres, so you’re free to roam the space. The view from the top of the drive is quite spectacular at sunset!

While I am not available in person, I am just a quick phone call or message away.

Other Things to Note:
In the winter months the driveway can be quite slick, I will do my best to maintain the drive with regular plowing and sanding. If something doesn't feel up to your safety standards, please reach out!

The Neighbourhood:
Located adjacent to the highway, there is some traffic noise outside but the home has been build with a high quality assembly that increases comfort and decreases noise to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
