- "This was a perfect place for my teenage daughter and I to stay during our week-long fishing trip. It is far enough out of Ketchikan to avoid the cruise-ship mobs, but is very close and convenient to Cedar Grove, Knudsen, the Lighthouse mini grocery store, and Walmart. It is also a short drive to Ward Lake and the north shore parks and coves. The apartment is on a quiet little street, and Jason went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The blow-up mattress was a nice quality big model, so my daughter slept well after a day battling salmon. Finally, this is a truly-detached unit, which was very welcome. Highly recommended!"

The Rain Bird hiking trail is a five minute walk away and for a challenge, the Deer Mountain trailhead is only a five minute drive.

The Bear Den is located on the lower level of our multi-level cliff side home overlooking the Tongass Narrows. It has it’s own private set of stairs on the right side as you walk down the driveway. Parking is available at street level, just look for the “Bear Den” sign.

We have a swing set, basketball hoop and trampoline and outdoor fire pit which you are welcome to use.

There is a queen bed in one bedroom and then an open loft with either 2 Twin Beds or they can be made into a King Bed. There is a futon in the loft. Located 7 miles north from the airport ferry terminal, 10 miles north from downtown, and 5 miles from Knudson Cove and Clover Pass. This is a one queen bedroom one bathroom home. There are three couches, a queen pull-out couch, a small futon and a large couch in living room. Single cot and pack and play available upon request to accommodate 4/5 people if you want to squeeze. Smart TV with endless WiFi. Kitchenette has cooking utensils/equipment, coffee maker, microwave, rice cooker, hotplate, electric skillet, spices, oils, ect. No Stove. The “Diamond House” was built in the 80's by a local man named Mr. Diamond who was known for his smoked fish. Located only a few blocks from the water one can see filtered views of Tongass Narrows and Gravina Island. The “Diamond House” is surrounded by mature indigenous trees such as red cedar, western hemlock and Sitka spruce, which give the property its park-like feel. A truly relaxing and comfortable vibe waiting for you to experience.

When booking the “Diamond House” guests have private access and are permitted to the entire house. Self-check in lockbox is located next to the front door.The house has a cozy cabin-like feel with its open floor plan and tall, open ceiling. This is a one bedroom, one bathroom home (sleeps up to 5) with a open concept kitchen and living space. The home features hardwood floors throughout the house. Guests are welcomed and encouraged to make meals. There is NO STOVE in the kitchenette, however the house is well equipped with all the necessary kitchen gadgets, including an electric skillet, gas grill outside, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, basic utensil, plates, bowls, cups/mugs, salt/pepper and cooking oil. Guest will also have access to a 7.5 cubic foot freezer, for storing your Alaskan home pack, located outside in the carport. Guests are welcome to use the covered breezeway and porch area that are shared between the guest house and the owners home. Use of the fire pit, located on the edge of the property, is also permitted. Firewood will be provided.

GUEST ACCESS
Guess have access to the entire home by a key located in the lockbox. There is ample parking within the property to park cars, trucks, and RV’s. Boats/trailers are allowed but upon approval only. Guests are welcomed to use the covered porch next to the house. Firewood will be provided for the fire pit for those cool clear nights. The owners live in a separate house on the property with their standard poodle, Rainy.

A binder with “things to do” in the area will be provided along with brochures, hiking info, pertinent phone numbers, dining info and other recommendations. I’d be happy to try and answer any questions you may have about the area or what to expect prior to or during your stay. We are available by phone and email.

Our place is best accessed by car, taxi or bus. The bus line is located just down the hill 2 blocks away.

Be sure to have your camera ready as eagles land in the trees around the apartment and whales have even been seen inside the cove around the marina.

Your apartment is completely outfitted and furnished with just about everything you need to feel "almost home". The bedroom has a queen bed and a double bed. There is a twin bed in the entry and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has a shower with hair dryer and curling iron, shampoo and conditioner plus other essentials. Anchor Inn by the Sea is located only four miles from downtown Ketchikan in one of the best shoreline fishing and whale watching areas that Ketchikan has to offer. The Inn has three private suites (1 & 2 bedroom) all suites have private entries, private decks and beautiful ocean views. Although the suites are all private, the yard is shared space. The grassy yard is a favorite with our guests. It is a beautifully landscaped yard with lush green grass, overlooking the ocean.

The guest suites are as close as you can get to the ocean. Bring your camera because otter, seals, and porpoises are frequently seen. Eagles nest close by and are often seen perched on a pole near the water or pulling a salmon from the ocean. Humpback Whales and Orcas are the most exciting for our guests to see. We can guarantee that you will see some type of wildlife every day of your stay.

The suites are outfitted with everything you need to feel right at home; equipped kitchens, dining area, living room and a full bath. The suites have queen beds, wireless Internet, SmartTV, and either a full kitchen or a kitchenette.

We enjoyed the deck very much, especially when watching all of the activity out on the water, or the orcas swim by, or the eagles come to rest on the perch. We also enjoyed relaxing in the chairs on the lawn. We saw a sea otter come up to the beach and we saw a mink run across the yard. He was soooo cute! Mary and Greg are amazing! - "Staying at this large harborside loft made for a perfect vacation and business trip to Ketchikan! The accommodations are light and airy with a beautiful view of the historic harbor right across the street. The location on the edge of downtown was quiet but with restaurants, shops, and galleries right up the street. The large space is well designed and could easily accommodate four people. There is a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking a meal. The furnishings are clean and modern an the large wood table was wonderful for work and an informal meeting. I am looking forward to my next stay!"

Captain Morgan's is a large two bedroom vacation rental is on the upper floor of a waterfront duplex. It is very roomy with over 1,500 sq ft of living space. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, walk-in closet and a private master bathroom with a large 2 person walk-in shower. The second bedroom is spacious, has vaulted ceilings and a queen size bed. The main bathroom is across the hall from the second bedroom and it has a tub/shower combination. There is also a small den that has a twin bed in it.
Large picture windows wrap around the master bedroom, living room & dining room area framing an amazing ocean view. It has a large open galley type kitchen fit for a chef.

One of the nicest features of this house is the enclosed deck with glass railings for a total unobstructed view of the ocean. The deck has comfortable seating and a gas barbeque.

The location is perfect! It is only 4 miles from downtown, 3 miles to Herring Cove, 1 mile to rotary beach and a quick walk to Mountain Point where you will find some of the best shoreline fishing in Ketchikan. A 5 mile long bike/walking trail runs in front of the house.

On the lower level of this duplex is another vacation rentals called the Admiral Beach House. It also have two bedrooms. This works well for larger groups traveling together.

This house is not suitable for young children under 13 yrs old. This is a non-smoking property. We have a maximum occupancy of 5 people.

A private sun porch runs along the entire waterfront side of the Bunkhouse. It has a tables and chairs for 4 to 6 people. The home is porfessionally decorated and features several Alaskan artists.

Ravens and Seagulls perch in the Seventy year-old Spruce and Cedars that border the homes park-like garden setting. There is also a large Spa and summer kitchen building on the water’s edge with tables and chairs, fire pit, BBQ grills, and refrigerators. There is an outdoor crab cooker, fish smoker and fish cleaning area for guests to prepare their catch of the day and a freezer to store a fish box.

There are several viewing decking on the property, providing outstanding spots to sit back and watch wildlife, float planes, barges, fishing boats, world-class yachts, Alaska ferries, and cruise ships, and of course Ketchikan's majestic sunsets. Beautiful gardens are scattered throughout the grounds. Free off-street parking and pickup and drop-off at ferries and docks is available.

The Bunkhouse Home is non-smoking, but covered porches can be used for smoking. One small dogs may be accepted in the home with prior approval. Approval must be granted at the time of booking. A nightly pet feel will be charged and the guest will be held responsible for any pet damage. There is a 3 night minimum stay when booking the Bunkhouse.

We all loved spending time there and the hot tub was just perfect after a rainy, cold adventure. It was so nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of town yet close enough to get to it. Nicole helped us arrange an affordable car with a local vendor and was dedicated to making sure we had a great time with some local knowledge. Can’t say enough good things about this property. These vacation rental units are located in the center of downtown directly across from Berth 4 and Ketchikan’s beautiful waterfront promenade. Restaurants, the docks, pubs, cafes’ and tours are all close walking distance. This is a commercial building and the condos are located on the upper floor. The entrance is behind the building where you can walk straight in from the city parking lot without any stairs. There are two vacation rental units side by side in the building that share a laundry room.

The Sea Star Suite is a completely equipped 650 sq. ft. one-bedroom suite with a fully equipped modern kitchen. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. There is a smart TV in both the bedroom and the living room. The bathroom has large walk-in shower. This unit has a view of the downtown harbor and the waterfront promenade. There are no stairs to this suite.

This is a great place to stay if you prefer not to rent a car. Everything is close walking distance and the city bus stops directly across the street. Most parking downtown is either permit parking or timed parking. You need to be careful of areas and time periods where you might get a parking ticket.

You will receive a rental agreement that must be signed before you will receive the check-in directions and the door code. The rental agreement will be email to you from Alaska Travelers.

This suite is limited to a single person or a couple. There is only one queen bed and the sofa is not suitable for sleeping.

The location met our needs perfectly with easy access to the town in one direction and the grocery store in the other. We walked everywhere so if you're also sans car, be prepared that the house is on a hill." - "The overall feeling of this lower level apartment is new and clean. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was well appointed and set up nicely. Coffee, tea, travel toiletries were provided. I asked for a slightly early check-in, and Case kindly accommodated. The location was very convenient for us--halfway between downtown and the harbor. While technically walking distance, it would have been a long walk with a steep hill. Not an issue for us because we had a rental car but renters should keep that in mind. Overall we were very please with both the accommodations and management. Would stay again!"

Living room is furnished with couch, armchair, and entertainment center including: TV/DVD/Internet (internet is a shared service). Couch folds down to a twin bed. There is 1 full bathroom with tub/shower, and shared laundry facility. Linens, towels, and full bedding sets are provided. This one bedroom apartment has all the amenities of home; cozy and warm decor, an ideal location, plus an ocean view, making this midtown property hard to beat!

Sea Glass Getaway is a high-end two bedroom suite on the second floor of a beautiful waterfront home. It is located on the north side of Ketchikan only a few miles from Knudson Cove Marina. It has one of the nicest beaches of all of our listings. There is a trail leading down to the beach where you can enjoy looking for beach glass or just exploring.

The suite is completely private and has a private exterior entry door and outside deck. There are 2 roomy bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with 2 extra long twin beds that can be made up as a king bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable. The bathroom has a tub/shower.

There is a water view from the private deck but not from the inside of the suite.

IMPORTANT! This suite has a maximum occupancy of 4 people. We charge depending on group size. The base rate is for 2 people and we have an additional charge for each extra person, per night. Make sure you make your reservation for the correct number of people in your group and alert us if you are adding extra people over 2 people. This property is completely non-smoking.

- "We had one amazing stay In Alaska I splurged a little for the House and it was not a disappointment the location watching the tide and our sea life was magical. I would say upstairs tint windows or curtains be nice if wanted sleep in from sunrise but it’s one you won’t want miss seeing if it’s showing! Our property manager was so accommodating and shared all info we asked and helped with few spots in town! We also went on fishing excursion with the Alaskan fish house! Ask for Grayson will not disappoint! We hope to be taking whole family for both houses at this location by next year! Can’t wait go back!! "

This 2 bedroom modern suite attached to a single family home is a great place to base your Ketchikan trip. With 1000 sqft, space is not an issue with a master suite upstairs including a beautiful bathroom with jetted tub and large shower. Downstairs is a kids bedroom and a second living space including an exercise area, treadmill and weights. There is no full kitchen but plenty of space and an amazing view.
