The Paradise Cove house is set on its own secluded beach at Paradise Cove with breathtaking views of Rainbow Glacier and the snowcapped peaks of the Chilkat mountain range. Would you like to get away from the incessant chatter and demands of the 'outside' world? Here's a place where there is peace.

The charming, rustic house is sided with hand-split cedar shakes. Inside, it is spacious and sunny. The open plan downstairs allows for a pleasant flow of spaces. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room with an amazing view.

A special feature of the house is that as well as the main house there is the attached annex with its light-filled sunroom. The main house and annex allow for separation for two parties or two families who are sharing the rental.

The two newly remodeled bathrooms in the house offer modern fixtures. There is one bathroom in the main house and one in the annex, affording privacy for two parties sharing the house. The main house bathroom offers both a shower and a tub. The annex bathroom provides a shower with built-in seat.

Upstairs in the main house there is a queen bed in the master bedroom. The smaller upstairs bedroom has both a queen bed and a single bed.

The entire upstairs of the annex is a spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed, a rocking chair and a loveseat. Both the main house master bedroom and the annex bedroom have spectacular views.

Two Pack n' Play baby beds are available to accommodate little ones.

This is an Alaskan family house that is comfortable, spacious and well-heated, and offers all the amenities you need for an enjoyable stay.

The primary attraction of the house is its location on a private beach many think is the most beautiful in the Haines area.

You can fish from the beach in front of the house. If you bring your own sea kayak or rent one from a local company, you can launch from the beach and paddle down the peninsula to Chilkat Islands Marine Park.

Children enjoy the opportunity to play and run barefoot on the large lawn or sit on the grass. You can also sit in the comfortable chairs provided on the lawn and enjoy the view, or barbecue outdoors using the large Weber grill. Beyond the lawn on the beach you can sit around the campfire, toast marshmallows, and watch for the marine mammals that swim in to the bay - seals, sea lions, our resident otters, porpoise, and even whales.

Just over 6 miles from downtown Haines, Alaska, the Paradise Cove house is a five minute drive from the Chilkat State Park which has some of the best hiking trails in the area as well as a boat launch ramp.

Children are welcome at the Paradise Cove house. Sorry, but we can't accommodate pets.

Please note that rent is $250/night for the first two people. For each additional guest the charge is $50/person/night. We are required by law to charge 8% tax.

PLEASE NOTE: This property is in a rural residential zone. That means no large gatherings, weddings, reunions or parties can be held on the property. It is simply for you to enjoy as your home while you stay in the area.

- "Upon our arrival our mouths dropped open from the view! This was our third trip to Alaska and this view was by far the best. Words cannot describe it! The directions were spot on, and we didn't have any trouble locating the property. The owners were very easy to communicate with and very quick to reply, they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed via text. The beds were super comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows and blankets, we also had great water pressure in the showers. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to make great meals at home. My husband bought a fishing pole in town and actually caught a small Halibut right on the rocky beach below the cabin. The drive to town was breathtaking and the people are the friendliest and most helpful. The saying is true, people come for the adventure and stay for the people. When they asked us where we were staying, we always received the same response, Nice! Halibut fish and chips at the Bamboo room and hamburgers at the 33 Mile Roadhouse were the best we've ever eaten. Bears in the early mornings at Chilkoot Lake was a treat and free! We also took a flight tour of Glacier Bay National Park with Mountain Flying Service, Paul the owner was fantastic, take the long tour, it's so worth it. We had a wonderful time, and I will have to break my own rule of not staying in the same place twice, for this I will happily make an exception, we will be back no doubt about it. - "Room was great! We fly fished in the Chilkoot just below the cabins and then jumped in the hottub afterward, then cooked our fish on the shared outside grill. We requested a filet knife and voila!.. Two eagles live there so they were always around. Great view, relaxing. Too early for bear but great spot. Rental car is a must be we hopped around onto highway, bought groceries in town. Frankly eating at the cabin a couple of days vs renting a car equals out in price…. Hope to come back during bear and salmon season! Slept really well too."

Cabins #1 and #2 are fully furnished, each with a private bath, one bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeping loft accessed by a ladder with a full bed and twin bed, living room with pull-out couch, and a kitchenette, plus a private deck overlooking the water. TV with DVD's, limited wi-fi and cell service.

- "This property worked perfectly for a Thanksgiving with multiple families. Beautiful views and nice to be located between the coho fishing at Chilkoot River and town. I arrived early & Miranda was finishing up cleaning & let me check in early. The space outside the cabin, the patio with bbq & picnic table is tight & view obscured by trees, but the trees also serve as a privacy screen. There is a small view between the trees to the beautiful inlet. Just enough to also allow sunlight onto the patio. This is not the place if you like luxury, but it's certainly more comfortable than tent camping. Paper & plastic utensils, coffee filters, paper towels, salt & pepper, powder creamer & sugar were provided. I'd recommend bringing your own sharp knife if you will need it & a travel mug to take your coffee to the beach. I only brought snacks & sandwich fixings. If you plan to do more than that, you should bring what you need. Great location. Just one mile from ferry & four miles to town. I brought a bike to get around & used the Haines Shuttle. Comfortable bed. I was warm, but blanket was light weight. Bring a heavier blanket if you like a little more weight. Shower was nice & hot. Windows & sliding door with screens for fresh air. All in all a great place & I would stay there again."

- "Overall, we found Chilkat Towers an impeccable residence for our family of four. When we had guests (our adult daughter and her husband) visit, provisions (plates, glassware and utensils) were still sufficient for one meal. The staples available for cooking, laundry and bathing were a real trove. Cleaning supplies were also abundant. It appeared prior guess bequeathed there remainders for the good of future guests which was an unexpected pay-it-forward kind of surprise. There were few problematic items - a weak spot in the subfloor at the threshold into the kitchen from the great room space and charging devices from some power outlets seemed inoperable (TBT, that could have been our cables!). We found WiFi and TV adequate except when the Cruise Ship was in port - quality of service was seriously degraded - for wireless service as well. We were in the middle floor and experienced a bit of a thermal chimney effect limiting our ability to cool off the premises at night; admittedly, during our stay temperatures reached >70°F and with clear skies, Sun shine heat was unyielding. The numerous ceiling fans helped to at least move the air around. The only bathroom was nicely setup and towels and sundries were luxurious. We struggled with the ventilation fan and were never really sure we got it to operate correctly if at all. The windows were of the sash type and only the lower window opened which did little to help alleviate the steamy cloud from showers. TBH, that was a nit. 5*s!"

- "Such a treat to stay at this lovely place. It will long be remembered." - "This was our last stop on our return leg back to Juneau after a fun motorcycle road trip up to Anchorage. We loved the privacy of location, the gazebo with grill, and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub! We brought steaks and corn and grilled it up. Used the side burner to make breakfast in the morning. The heated floors in the room were awesome especially for that Alaskan living coming in from the outside being chilly and wet. Indoor house slippers provided was a bonus. Guests must be able to climb a flight of stairs. There is a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen on the first floor that rents separately as the Dolphin House Apartment..
