It is a good idea to stock up on food for lunches in Valdez, or at Cubby's south of the Spur highway to Talkeetna. Of course, the remoteness is part of the charm of Alpine Creek Lodge!"

Schooner Lake is a host to an abundant source of wildlife including migrating birds (swans, ducks, loons, eagles, etc.) and the occasional moose, bear, coyote, fox, muskrat, beaver, and caribou. Enjoy direct access to this lake for canoeing, swimming, frog catching, bird/wildlife watching, cross country skiing, and snow-machining among other things . Very friendly people." - "Out of all the cabins and apartments that we rented in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Chena Hot Springs, Healy, and Seward, Roxanne’s cabin was the cleanest and most comfortable. We rented this cabin to be able to hike at the nearby Matanuska Glacier, which was my favorite activity in Alaska. Our guide on the glacier was wonderful & aware of everyone’s hiking ability. This cabin has all the necessary appliances in the kitchen and has beautiful views of the lake from almost every room in the cabin. The living room has an oversized leather chair that is extremely comfortable and a matching couch that is beyond comfortable. The bathroom is clean and functional. The reviewer who said to be sure and stock up on groceries, and gas was correct. We stopped at the one general store on Glenn Highway coming from Palmer. There were a few dry goods, such as macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes, but that was about it. We asked the cashier about gas stations traveling east, and she told us to turn around and go back to the one that we passed a few miles down the road. The owners live across the driveway, so you are expected to follow the rules and be respectful. I wish I had gotten there just a little bit earlier to have seen the trumpeter swan and her five babies on the beautiful lake in the back. I hope Roxanne has only respectful renters who are there to enjoy the splendor and magnificence of Alaska —in summer, not sure I have hutzpah to face winter."

This cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, 3 queen size beds, 1 single bed, and 1 indoor bathroom with toilet, sink, and lots of hot water for the tub and shower.

Friendly Alpine dairy goats live on the property, along with an assortment of outside cats.

The large loop driveway easily accommodates multiple vehicles and snowmachine/ATV trailers. Please note that 4WD is needed to access the driveway in winter (the driveway is plowed, but it is steep.)

You'll get the whole house, 3 acres of privacy, an amazing view, rustic seats on the bluff and all the amenities you need. The house was custom built by us in 2000 and has a VERY OPEN floor plan. What we mean by a very open floor plan is there are NO doors upstairs. The master bedroom faces the mountains and the stunning view! It is separated by open hallway and a curtain. So please only consider booking our house if you are very comfortable with the folks you are traveling with! The second bedroom is located in a quiet section of a large room above the garage that also serves as the living room...again NO doors it is all one room. That space can also support a queen size air mattress. Again, we offer the perfect space for a family or group of very close friends.

There is a couch and loveseat upstairs and the decor is totally Alaskan. Downstairs is another loveseat, a full kitchen with a table right in front of a giant window looking out at the mountains. There is a full bathroom downstairs off of the kitchen- yes it has a door.

You will be off the beaten path, but within striking distance of much of the greatness Alaska has to offer! The road to the house is a dirt road. The driveway and outer portion of the house is dirt/gravel as well. Please be aware that the area can be muddy if there has been a lot of rain. That includes the driveway and area around the house.

Important to note about our house; it is a custom log house with some leveling challenges. During the spring-summer the permafrost changes, the ground sinks and floors become unlevel. We work hard each season remediate shifting; but would like to be open and clear that you be aware that floors may be unlevel during your stay, which also effects some of the ground floor doors, they still work, just not flawlessly.

At the house you will have tv, wi-fi, and a telephone for local calls. There are cell phone towers near-by that support GCI and AT&T service. Other mobile providers may not provide adequate service in the area.

The Den has one bedroom downstairs with a full bed, and a spacious bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and twin day bed. The log living room has a full size hide-a-bed. There is one bathroom , a full kitchen with a stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and a wash machine and drier. Beautiful porch, and deck with grill, with views of the beautiful Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains wraps around the Den. There is local phone service and internet. Cell phone service nearby, but not at the cabin.

- "This home was gorgeous! The location at sheep Mountain was beautiful, whether it was sunny or overcast or foggy. We experienced all three in the two days we were there, and the home offers amazing views of all the surrounding mountains. We saw a moose and her calf, and a bear! It also had all of the amenities we could've needed, from toiletries and linens to cooking supplies, coffee/tea, and breakfast items. There was even a bookcase full of boardgames and books, and an observatory with a telescope, which our 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed. The nearby Sheep Mountain Lodge has an excellent restaurant as well, when we didn't cook for ourselves. Lovely hosts, would definitely stay here again!"

My place is close to Glennallen and on the road system. It is a private cabin with a full kitchen, nice living room, futon, large loft with a queen and full size bed and walk in closet, bathroom with a shower. It has a Smart TV with a DVD player. The kitchen includes some breakfast items. Our cabin is close to the Klutina, Copper and Tazlina rivers. We are close to stores and are 5 min from the Wrangell St. Elias National Park headquarters. We have a view of the mountains close by.

Parking place is available for free. The cabin has 600 sq. feet.

Alpine Creek Lodge is in the heart of the Alaska Range on the Denali Highway between Cantwell and Paxson. This is a very unique property, and a new lodge. The nearest town is over 70 miles away! We are located 68 miles East of Cantwell and 67 miles West of Paxson. No neighbors for 26 miles. The lodge sits on the South Facing slopes at the foot of a long since receded glacier. Alpine Creek is spring fed and runs year round. We are open year round, and in the winter the Denali Highway is not plowed.

Traveling into the lodge in winter via snowmobile is amazing! The Aurora Borealis is seen on most clear winter nights, and is an unforgettable experience. The rental can include anything you would like to do, to include fully guided fishing, hunting, ATV and snowmobile tours. You tell us what you would like and we'll make it happen.

We have suite rooms variable for $250 a night for two and $50.00 for each additional person. Each suite has a queen bed in them and two twin beds. We do offer the ability to rent out the entire lodge. Give us a call for other options and rates.

The dinner and breakfast were also included. We did a great hike up to the lake, played cornhole, cool bar with a great bartender named Tim. Need to update the games a bit, but we managed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Need screens on windows so they can be opened for fresh air without mesquite attacks. Really cool Oasis in the middle of Alaska."

- "This is great little property in a beautiful alpine area with lots of nearby hiking & sightseeing. The cabin is well stocked with a sweet porch and fire pit. The hosts were great and quick to respond to our requests. We asked for a BBQ Grill and it was waiting on our arrival along with 2 fresh salmon filets. That’s over the top! They were delicious! Just a minor note, a TV is pictured in the property description but no tv service provided and no WiFi (which was noted in the description). Had we known we would have brought cables to view our movies & photos. With that said we loved our stay. Thank you."

Come enjoy a stay at our comfortable Alaska made wall tent approximately 50 miles west of Glennallen and 100 miles east of Palmer. Experience the beauty of Alaska as our grandparents did when they first homesteaded here in the 60s. Pappy and grandma came north and built their homestead on this very location while mining, raising kids, running a general store, cabins, and a campground. We are honored to continue their legacy here.
The Prospector is our comfortable 11'x12' wall tent outfitted with two extra long twin beds, mosquito netting, propane heating stove, and solar powered lights for when that midnight sun finally rests. There is no electricity to the tent site but there is a charging station available if needed. We provide a water jug at your site for your convenience and will have breakfast items included in the onsite cooler.
There are multiple shared outhouses available on site as well as a single shower house with running water and towels provided for our guests. The shower house is unavailable late fall through early spring.

This property is 35 minutes from chitina and is a great spot to stay on your way to dip netting or fishing or just a way to unwind and disconnect experience Alaska. Day trip from McCarthy or Valdez.

The space
Enjoy our “off grid” camping experience. We have a cozy queen mattress and plenty of blankets to cuddle up in our 12’x14’ wall tent. You will find the propane heating stove adds a warm welcome on those cool Alasakan days and nights! The campground does have power with a charging station available should you need to recharge things. There isn’t any direct power to the tent site, however, we do have solar lights set up for when that midnight sun finally rests. We provide water in the tent for your convenience and will have breakfast items for you in the on-site cooler.
There are multiple shared outhouses available on site as well as a single shower house with running water and towels provided for our guests. The shower house is unavailable late fall through early spring.
Guest access
You are welcome to explore area trails and wander the campground. However, we do ask that you be respectful of other campers’ space.

Each bed is equipped with cleanable mattress pads, emphasizing hygiene and comfort, and making it easy for guests to ensure a clean and welcoming sleeping environment throughout their stay.

Lake Louise Cabin Retreat – Spacious Lakefront Getaway

Escape to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Louise, Alaska. Enjoy a lakefront experience in our spacious, two-story cabin rental. This retreat features 4 bedrooms, offering ample space for families, friends, or group getaways.

Nestled on the shoreline, the cabin provides direct lake frontage with stunning views with easy access to snowmobiling, fishing, boating, and outdoor adventure. A perfect blend of comfort and wilderness charm.

Location is within walking distance of Lake Louise Lodge.

Road access to property via Lake Louise Lodge road. A key box is located at the front entry. A code will be given given prior to entry.

Room Heating Instructions

Each room in the cabin is equipped with its own Toyotomi oil stove, allowing guests to adjust the temperature to their individual comfort.

To adjust the heat, simply use the up and down arrow buttons on the stove to set your desired temperature. The display will show the set point as you adjust. Once set, the stove will automatically maintain that temperature.

These stoves are efficient and reliable, making sure every room stays warm and cozy, even during the coldest Alaskan nights.

Enjoy the luxury of the brand new MOOSE CHALET at Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge! This beautiful Alaskan log cabin has 4 bedrooms, each with 2 queen beds and an ensuite bathroom, two on the upstairs level and two downstairs. A beautiful sitting area is located on the top floor with a fireplace and deck overlooking the awe-inspiring Chugach Mountains. The upstairs has a microwave, coffee maker, sink and 2 mini fridges. There is no kitchen in the Chalet, but you are onsite at Majestic Valley Lodge where we offer a full service restaurant and a full bar. Moose Chalet offers all the amenities of a typical hotel stay - bed linens, towels, toiletries and daily housekeeping.

Nearby attractions include the Matanuska Glacier for tours and ice climbing, river rafting, zip lining, ATV rentals, hiking, fishing, etc.

Majestic Valley Lodge offers outside lawn chairs, hammocks, yard games, disc golf, and a bonfire pit. You won't be disappointed with this amazing Alaska experience!
