This efficiency has private parking/entry, with Ocean Views that are unbeatable. Upstairs Captains Quarters has separate Shower and private Loo, Enjoy ocean front views from your own private deck. Walking distance from town, museums shopping and restaurants. Good viewing for birds, sea lions and the occasional Killer Whale Pod. Lovely sunrises over the ocean, but remember this is the land of the midnight sun! Bring a sleep mask if overly light sensitive. Recommended to bring warm clothes even in summer. Lightweight rain gear is a good thing to include in your pack.
Children are welcome. Our home is on a park strip that offers plenty of room for kids to run and play. Within walking distance of public pool, High School and the bridge to Near Island.
Please note: We are no longer a B&B and do not provide food service. We no longer have Cable TV but room has wifi and streaming device.

A spacious, sunny ocean view home, facing the channel. Located in a small neighborhood (with the ocean on one side and trees and city park on the other) our property overlooks the entrance to channel and nearby islands, and Pearson Cove. The Kodiak Boatyard is across the street and is typically busy in May and September when commercial fishing occurs, usually quiet in the summer.
We have recently expanded our services as a fully furnished home to month to month leases for professional, project managers, or short term needs for folks, available between September and May. Please inquire for the special rate.

Home area is 1600 sq. feet. Waking up to a morning cup of coffee or tea, while gazing out the many windows facing the ocean is a pleasure.

Just a few minute walk from downtown Kodiak, the house faces due south, with spectacular views of the ocean and nearby Woody Island and Near Island. Relax and watch the abundant wildlife of Kodiak: many eagles, sea lions, sea otters and sea lions. Our home's location is the perfect view for watching the many commercial fishing and pleasure boats coming and going. We provide a booklet to help identify the many different vessels.

The first floor has a warm, maple kitchen, our cupboards are full of pots and pans, utensils, and dishes. Local Kodiak cookbooks are supplied for a special seafood dinner, of your local catch of the day!

The main living room and dining table are in this area. Through the french doors, are a brand-new bathroom/laundry room, and bedroom and a small sitting area with the television and dvd library. The second floor has a large bedroom with spectacular channel view, a large bathroom, and a small area for an extra futon, or inflatable bed. Kodiak harbor is about 15 -20 min walk (no steep grade). Also under 5 min walk to the Bean and Bloom coffee shop-on the channel by the bridge. A pleasant and comfortable spot with large windows to watch eagles, fish, otters, boats, planes. Queen mattress was firm and cotton sheets were comfy. Water pressure was good. Tap water safe to drink and tastes fine. Unfortunately, there’s not enough hot water in the tank to enjoy the large bathtub (which I was looking forward to). Water became tepid before 1/2 full. Lovely view from the bed of the channel and woods which creates a secluded feeling. Window shades are nice but not “black out”. So, if you need it very dark to sleep, bring an eye mask in the long summer daylight season. Enjoyed the covered outdoor porch. Art was all from Alaskan artists. Did not use the tv. A couple of plates or bowls would be a nice addition. It would have been nice to be able to drop our packs off in a secure location prior to check in so we wouldn’t have to carry them around most of the day, but that’s small potatoes. Taxi from airport was under 25. Enjoyed & would recommend. "

Located on Spruce Cape Rd this second floor apt is unattached from the main house and sits on a little more than an acre of land in a family-friendly neighborhood. It has views of the ocean in the front and a small forest of spruce in the back. This property is shared with a local family of six, who live in the main house, a friendly lab mix, and a plethora of local songbirds that greet you with every new day! Just like most things here, we are 5-10 minutes away from all local amenities.

We have 3 yellow labs that will make you feel at home. Great space for fishing and hunting trips. We have fish cleaning supplies, vacuum sealer and freezers for you to use.
Come stay at "Grandma's" while she's away. This space was built for In laws to have their our space but still be part of our daily lives. Washer and Dryer are shared (we're working on getting another upstairs). The dogs stay upstairs, unless you want them downstairs.
We have fires when the weather allows us, you are welcomed to join us or start one for yourselves if we are not home.
We want you to be as comfortable as you can while you are away from your own place.
