Internet wasn’t working at all. Room was clean and spotless, breakfast was good and adequate, staff was working so hard to provide enough food for the buffet. Thank you for restaurant and housekeeping staff. Front desk needs lots of training about what hotel business and guest service is all about!"

We did not end up staying at Emin Butik Otel. We had booked, paid and received confirmation only to arrive and be told by the owner that there was a problem. They had no vacancy. The owner said he had closed the bookings on the websites the hotel advertised through. He said we shouldn’t have been able book it. He could however accomodate us in the hotel across the road that he also owned. It was late in the day and we had few other options. While the small room we ended up staying in had few of the amenities shown on website for Emin Butik it was clean. In the morning I spoke to the owner and said I felt we needed a partial refund. He disagreed and said he had thrown in a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast while adequate was minimal e.g. they ran out of bread. We didn’t want to ruin a perfect 6 week holiday by arguing so we just let things be. This was the worst value for money on our whole trip. We hope this is an exception for this hotel. "

- "It is a scam! The hotel is not prepared for clients and guests. We arrived at midnight after being in Amasra, and the service was highly deficient: there was no Wi-Fi, there were no towels in the room, there was no water (we spent 10 days traveling along Turkey and it was the first time that we found no water, towels and wifi in much much cheaper hotels). We arrived at midnight, they gave us a room, before realising that the OWNERS of the hotel were celebrating a dinner with tens of friends right next to our room. It was noise, music in the beginning, and they just turned it off after complaining in the reception about the scene we had in front of us. We only wanted to have rest and sleep, as in any normal hotel; but the owner didn’t allowed us to do so. The staff could not do much, and he explained to me that, as the noisy people were friends of the owner, he could not asked them to be quiet. Moreover, we asked the staff for another solution: to change our room to a more quiet one. Apparently, changing the room was imposible, because the hotel was full. The owners just want money, but they do not give any hotel service. It was a really shameless situation!"
