- "This beautiful old ottoman hotel is beautiful. The rooms are quite basic but very clean and comfortable. The aircon was brilliant (it was very hot while we were in Safranbolu) and we had a lovely view from our room. The buffet breakfast was a fairly typical Turkish breakfast with plentiful options and we were very satisfied with it. The location is fantastic with jus a short walk to all the action. So much so that we hired him to take us to our next destination -Amasra. Initially there was no a/c in the suite we booked and the portable one did not work well, so the owner changed our room for one with A/C. - "Good staff, good breakfast" - "We spent two nights in at the Mehves Hanim Konagi in Safronbolu. The Konagi is one of many old Ottoman houses turned into hotels. The Mehves was quaint and nice. The woman operating the Mehves was very nice and she prepared a very good Turkish breakfast. The location is really central to the interesting areas of Safronbolu. Like most similar Ottoman Konagis, there is no air conditioning. If you drive, beware - available parking is on the street (see photo). During the summer it might be impossible to find parking in the town. "
