Tired aggregated and wet I finally got into the room and I had booked which was the apartment as I thought having a washing machine would be a great convenience. Unfortunately, the apartment room was very dated and it had been smoked in many times. After 30 minutes I just could not take the residual smoke smell anymore and dragged myself down to the lobby hoping for a new room. The front desk came through with 5 stars and put me in a beautiful new room which I spent 3 nights in. The hotel lobby and restaurants are first class and beautiful, great pool and gym and the breakfast rivaled any that I have been to, it was simply outstanding! My stay went from starting out as a disaster to one of the top I have stayed in. Make sure you book one of the new rooms on the website and not the apartment and you will be impressed. Oh and the restaurant “Made in China” lives up to its Michelin rating! Excellence!!! I will be back on my next visit! Cecilia the concierge was also a pleasure!"
