- "The best part about this hotel is its private beach. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are comfortable but there’s no WiFi in the rooms and they can do with a renovation. It’s not like things are falling apart, they are not but the the decor belongs to another era. The hotel is half board (breakfast/dinner incl.) The breakfast buffet is very good but the dinner buffet is more limited does not have very tasty choices. However, somehow when the lunch food (not included in the half board price so you pay extra) is really delicious! It’s as if there are two different chefs for lunch and dinner. There’s a minibus that goes to the Bodrum city center that you can get on from in front of the hotel. It’s really well located and Bitez has one of the cleanest beaches in Turkey. "

- "I've really enjoyed my stay in Hakan Otel. It is a beautiful hotel, situated away from the crowd along a river, but still very close to the beach. In just 3 minutes you are on the beach, even closer you'll find a supermarket, an authentic Turkish restaurant and a souvenirshop. Hakan Otel is very pretty, nice decorations on the walls, plants, trees and flowers everywhere, decorated pumpkins with lights in them. The bar and restaurant are situated next to the lovely swimmingpool. Rooms are small, but have big beds, a minibar and enough space to leave your clothes. The bathroom is spacious as well as the shower. The hotel feels like your home because of the very friendly owner and staff. The Turkish breakfast is fabulous! The hotel is also the home of some Housemartins, who fly over the hallways, over the swimmingpool and when enjoying your morning coffee, you will see them feeding their baby birds in their nests attached to the ceiling...."
